Unbelievable!!! That’s the only part of my Tundra I’m not crazy about. I have a Silver 1794 and want to do the same color as the Gey Metallic on my fender flares. I’m calling tomorrow to order them. Love it !!!!!!!!!
Great question! We can never promise "perfection" but we have taken parts we made using the midnight black material to the Roseville Auto Mall to test it up against a truck on the lot in both sun and shade and it is an extremely close match. We couldn't tell them apart! The midnight black metallic option is made using a mass produced sheet plastic with an OEM spec paint film over it in the color of Midnight Black Metallic. However, we do also offer "Gloss Black" as an option on ChromeStoppers.com but it is not intended to match a specific color, it just so happens that it very closesly matches most black colored trucks in Ford, Toyota, GMC etc.
@@zachlambert509 I believe I spoke with you on our website earlier, but for those in the comments who are ALSO wondering, Attitude Black and Midnight Black are the exact same color code. Toyota just changed the name when when they released this new model
Was this acrylic or painted to match? Do you have pictures of each. I’d love to see acrylic and painted to match on MGM tundra. I’d love to get away with the cheaper acrylic but in the faq section on your website, it doesn’t seem so confident thatll match 100 percent.
Hey I see that another team member reached out to you on Instagram and answered your question there but yes this is an acrylic part on this video! We offer both painted and acrylic.
This is much easier than taking off the existing chrome and replacing with color match, but I just wonder if the fit and finish and long term adhesion will be an issue?
We have used the same adhesives since we started in back in 2012. We have not had any issues with the adhesion. We supply every customer with 3M adhesion promoter to ensure a long-lasting bond! We always recommend waiting 48-72 hours before taking the truck through a car wash to ensure the adhesives have time to cure. However, should something happen to our parts we are happy to work with our loyal customers to make sure they can keep that ugly chrome off the truck. Also, if you have to remove our Shellz for some reason, you can use isopropyl alcohol to remove any adhesive residue from the OEM grille
Nice! Question though - in the future, I'll be putting on a full steel bumper. Once your caps are on, do they restrict your ability to disassemble the front end?
Thanks! It's great to see months and months of work finally coming into fruition. Secondly, No, our parts will not restrict your ability to disassemble the front end! Have fun modding your truck!!
We make them in our Rocklin facility and we drive them up to Auburn and paint them in our shop! You can get yours color matched by shopping at ChromeStoppers.com We'll paint them for you
It's hard to say, mostly because I can't remember how it was... However, the TPO Textured is going to match better if the interior of the grille has a texture to it. If it doesn't, the matte black would be best. I can send you some photos of our material if you send me an email to Social@ecoological.com
@@cdstoudemire Awesome choice! Please note, it is VERY important to do a dry fit first, to make sure you like how it looks. If you install the parts, we will not be able to process an exchange
We wanted to, but the way our parts are designed, we didn't see an easy way to create that without it failing. We pride ourselves on making parts that are built to last and won't just fall off if the wind blows the wrong direction.
@@mikecloeter4780 Definitely agree that the grille is too big. We have a fog lamp bezel cover that really breaks it all up and makes it looks way better. I'll pass your thoughts on a solution to our R&D team though!
Nope! As long as you remove the part carefully, it should be just fine! You may need to use a little force to get it done, which could damage our themselves. And you'll likely need to use some rubbing alcohol to get rid of the adhesive residue
@@JoshNieves No problem. I noticed a little typo. I meant to say that removing the part might damage the parts themselves. So we recommend only removing the parts if you're 100% sure you want to remove them. Everything above remains accurate, though
I'm terribly sorry to hear you're having this experience. Can you please provide us with your order number so we can get this taken care of for you? Thanks!
Thank you for considering Bumpershellz. As a family-owned and operated business, we genuinely care about our customers and strive for transparency in all our operations. The shipping cost you see is the actual cost we incur from UPS, given the "oversized" nature of the packaging we use for this product it tends to be higher when shipping to locations that are further from our manufacturing facility in California. While painting factory bumpers is an option, our Bumpershellz are crafted with commitment to provide both enhanced protection of your OEM parts and aesthetics for a much more permanent chrome delete solution. We value your feedback and are here to assist with any questions or concerns you might have.
Our products are easy to install, often without extra tools and we provide you with the blackout tape and adhesion promoter. They are also built to last the lifetime of your truck. Additionally, we make all of our Shellz products in the USA from tooling to manufacturing in our vacuum formers to taping, packing, and shipping. Some other options might be cheaper, but you'll spend a lot more time trying to install them.
Vinyl doesn't last as long as our product. If vinyl gets hit with rocks, you'll see the chrome underneath. Vinyl also bakes in the sun and becomes discolored or flakey, sometimes both! BumperShellz will not fade or peel. They also won't show the chrome if they get hit with a rock.
This kit, like all of our products, is made in the USA. Unfortunately, that means we need to charge a little more than if we just didn't care and had them made overseas... you can rest assured you're getting a high quality product made from impact resist ABS plastic and that our staff put each part through a tough quality control checklist.
Toyota fans strike me as a crazy bunch. WAY TO GO!!! Best mod I’ve ever seen for the TUNDRA. Huge improvement! Really what was Toyota thinking? Nicely done.
Ugly grill?
No tow hooks?
No V8?
Toyota is horrible at large trucks. The Tacoma always was better.

Tundra really does have a face only a mother could love. What was Toyota thinking. This mod is great.
Our little joke around here is they really wanted to help us make innovative products!

Fantastic job, but what's really amazing is the amount of mods required to make this truck look like it should have from the Toyota factory.
