For those who don't know, in Apocalypse you and all of your demons receive a penalty of 100 agility. This turns the early game into hell, as half of your attacks will miss their target.
Your allies in Apocalypse are way more useful than in its predecessor, though - for one, they will never use an ability that a boss is immune to, so no more getting dicked over by your so-called allies giving the boss a free Smirk (looking at you, Walter). In SMTIV I agree, you're not going to be relying on them much. In Apocalypse they have a much higher chance of providing a clutch contribution.

Technically you didn’t replace him, Danu summons the good part of Dagda out of the one your fighting so it is still the same one minus the psychopath parts
I feel bad for both Danu and Dagda. Dagda was just doing what he thought was best. He wanted to end the Law/Chaos conflict and give humanity a better future the only way he thought would work: by killing the current universe and building a new one, with no Gods in it and none of their believers to sustain them. Pretty horrific plan...but as we see in the Anarchy ending, it seemed to work. Danu didn't want to be part of massacring what was left of humanity and every other God out there, nor did she want to kill off her son, so she tried finding a third ground. He wasn't leaving her with many other options in that moment, since he was actively draining the life from Nanashi and sapping his power to control his Demons as well. Even if the reincarnated Dagda isn't QUITE the Dagda we remember him as, she's still got her son with her and he is mostly the same.
Dagda's logic is Xenogears logic: "You shall be as gods." Dag, babe, we went through this crap once before. It didn't make anyone happy. I think the opposite. The one choice thing is BS, since it allows the player to make choices that go against what they've done the entire game. In DnD, you characters alignment will be modified if you don't make decisions matching that alignment. If you make decisions in SMT IV, they follow you. Your main quest isn't really forcing you to do some random thing, like how IVA ungracefully handles things. Instead you're ordered to by the monastery or its for survival, like during Blasted Tokyo. Dagda clearly doesn't know that humans have the ability to choose how to distribute their power gains; and since 'this is Shin Megami Tensei 4 magic is completely broken'
Being human has literally been the worst possible thing for anyone thats not a messiah. The fact that everyone thought that humans should stay where there at is utter nonsense.
Reading the description made me wonder Does the Dialogue change in the slightest if that is indeed the case? which also makes me wonder if the "Punishments" are permanent as in (Dagda destroying your Demons but can still use them afterwards or they are just poof removed? or Navarre destroying your items (which I would expect rip everything))
Dunno the specifics about the demons cause I never went full anarchy on my Anarchy run, so I was still within safe range from the punishment if I picked Peace, but I would assume you would just need to rebuy them from the compendium, which considering the level of the demons at this point can be expensive. The item thing on the other hand... yeah its quite the punishment, specialy if you didn't know about it and lose like all the incenses, high MP/HP recovery, Armor Boosts, etc you were saving up for end game LOL
I can understand Dagda's point of view, but that seems extreme. A universe where every human becomes a God seems self-cataclysmic. If wars broke out the universe would be destroyed 10x over. I like the idea, but long-term, nope.
LichLordFortissimo I doubt it. Too many egos clashing. Gods are too egotistical and arrogant to keep that kind of peacetime continuing. There will always be conflict. This kind of universe Dagda wants to create will only create more chaos.
That wasn't what Dagda was aiming for. The new humans would be transhuman, being able to accomplish what they desire, through answers perceived on their own, removing imperfection, unable to impose upon others who do not agree (thus avoiding wars at all): effectively, humans would be nomadic, nature-orientated, with accurate, fact-based beliefs.
LichLordFortissimo Considering the fact that this is the SMT universe and that the route you have to go and the choices you make to get to this point, the consequence you get for defying Dagda, I highly doubt his intentions.

Being human has literally been the worst possible thing for anyone thats not a messiah. The fact that everyone thought that humans should stay where there at is utter nonsense.
Krishna be waiting there like
Reading the description made me wonder
Does the Dialogue change in the slightest if that is indeed the case?
which also makes me wonder if the "Punishments" are permanent as in (Dagda destroying your Demons but can still use them afterwards or they are just poof removed? or Navarre destroying your items (which I would expect rip everything))
Dunno the specifics about the demons cause I never went full anarchy on my Anarchy run, so I was still within safe range from the punishment if I picked Peace, but I would assume you would just need to rebuy them from the compendium, which considering the level of the demons at this point can be expensive.
The item thing on the other hand... yeah its quite the punishment, specialy if you didn't know about it and lose like all the incenses, high MP/HP recovery, Armor Boosts, etc you were saving up for end game LOL
old dagda nooo QwQ
I can understand Dagda's point of view, but that seems extreme. A universe where every human becomes a God seems self-cataclysmic. If wars broke out the universe would be destroyed 10x over. I like the idea, but long-term, nope.
But they would also have the knowledge necessary to avoid such a thing, with perfect understanding of EVERYTHING.
"Man is something to be surpassed. What have you done to surpass him?"
In all fairness to Danu, she only did what we always do when we end up fusing subservient versions of every boss we beat.
Just throw the whole Dagda away
danm the track for the second phase, it on now
Degdy.
...I didn't believe it said Apocalypse Mode. OMG what have you done, Omega.
Does that mean you're staying on that mode throughout the rest of the game?! OAO;
Video description :p
omegaevolution Oh! Forgot! Lol XD You're pretty brave, man!
I regret for choosing the Apocalypse Mode. I thought it was a piece of cake since I was above level 100, but it's been about 2 weeks I have been stuck at the final boss and I rage quitted a lot since then lol.
Friendship with Dagda has ended, now Dagda is my best friend.
As much as I prefer Massacre I still enjoy this fight a lot
I thought Apocalypse mode was a New Game + thing...turns out it was DLC.
It remains free DLC, though
tnt1751994 I figured, since it's a difficulty option.
Dagda: *normal English voice*
Also Dagda: *pissed off Scottish or Irish voice 10 seconds later*
Just another month and the game will be in Aus 😋
hey boss possible dumb question but level 80-something angel? the deal with that? much love for your vids btw been a fan.
Dunno if anyone has explained it yet but there are 2 types of “Angel” in this game. The blue wing ones are the low level ones and the white wing ones are much higher level
so what are demons really? human understanding? or human weakness?
Demons/gods/fairies/etc. are embodiments of human thoughts and desires.
Human understanding is what shapes them.
elinfini qa
elinfini Except YHVH and the Great Will.
It was revealed that they really did created the human race but somehow YHVH became corrupted
@@centurionzo1228 YHVH was a sentient being meant to be the Axiom's avatar. That sentience was the problem, since it made YHVH full of himself
Wait so without(a)Dagda Nanashi cant do crap against anyone?
Nanashi is basically a walking corpse that is being kept alive by Dagda's power. If Dagda stops feeding you power, you just become a corpse again and die. Your soul won't stay with your body.
wow bYe dadga
Do you ever get to use dagda as one of your combat demons?
cant get him or danu
@@ShardsOfStone You CAN however get Black Maria, which is supposed to be Danu, and also IS Danu in IV
Why the lv 84 Angel?
its the alternate angel.
Oh, nice.
yeah for some reason Angel is like at minimum level 80 or so
Not complaining, though. She packs Judgment Light and Luster Candy
she goes through all those mutations just to end up with white wings.
Here’s the problem.
I hate all of these characters.
No
Allan Velásquez
OK, Dagda’s alright.
Why
Same bandwagon as you. They are unrelatable characters, kinda sucks how much spineless you have to be completing the game as peaceful. I mean, Its not hard that way
@@xgaming6609
I don’t think writers should aim for relatable characters, but interesting and multifaceted ones. Viewers will get invested if they’re drawn in by a hook that isn’t deceptive.
What route is this.
