This one is from the horses mouth there are loads of IRA PIRA etc but very little from the INLA's structure until this video/podcast.,So once again John knocks the ball up over and out of the park topof the range thanks again for another top quest.
Seamus Costello , Patsy O' Hara and Ta Power were way ahead of their time politically and it's a shame that some great volunteers were killed during the feud in 87 I think it was , and also on another point I think the INLA were the first to use the mercury tilt switch bomb on Airey Neave as he drove up the ramp leaving the house of commons car park. Neave was a very close friend of Thatcher and there is a video out there where she's being interviewed about something when she is only finding out on live TV that he had been assassinated and you can see her and hear her asking ' When and how '. Also on another issue I think the mistake by the stickies at the time was that they tried to crush the IRSP at it's formation and did not think that the INLA had the capacity to hit back as hard as they did , maybe two of the biggest losses to both movements at the time would have been Costello on the INLA side and I would say certainly Liam McMillen on the Officials side. A sad thing when considering they were all comrades at one stage but then the feud years later with the GHQ side of The INLA and the Belfast Brigade side of the INLA , It's all in a great book that John mentioned called INLA: Deadly Divisions which I highly recommend if you are interested in the the birth of the IRSP & The INLA in a hotel in Lucan Co Dublin...!!
All for nothing now since they support and facilitate open borders. The Irish nation is in the fight for its life and the left wing ideologies are part of the cause.
The rise of the Provisionals had wounded the Officials so much that they were desperate to stop an opponent on their "left flank" and thus they hit so hard that it rebounded, problem was it kept rebounding into complete self destruction, until blood vendettas and old fashioned crime were the only things holding the "INLA" together

We called the INLA glorified stickies (Officials) in those days, I believe the worst thing Irish resistance fighters ever did post 1969 was couple the movement with far left ideology, it completely delegitimised the struggle, there were no other counter ideology formulated to counter the British so they mistakenly adopted International Socialism. What else was there?, the fall of Communism in 1989 proved it was all built on a lie. I remember INLA and all the other groups, a few were determined, believed in the cause but the majority were corner boys with an ego, looking the esteem, not all that bright and pseudo criminals who would have ended up in prison anyway if the troubles were not there.
