- Опубликовано: 12 сен 2024
- My guest for this week is John Nixon, a former member of the Official IRA who left the group when he and others set up the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA).
John speaks about growing up in Armagh City before the conflict began, his teen years taking part in riots & civil disturbances and the time that John was shot and wounded by the same bullet that k*lled his friend beside him.
I asked about his first prison term for firearms possession, the formation of the INLA while he was inside, the effect that his prison time had on his politics and level of commitment and much more
Part 2 coming soon

The irish people struggled so much at the hands of the oppressive, savage British regime. Out of that struggle were born fighters for freedom. Every one of them are hero’s of Ireland and freedom.
@@Irish1798 still under British law 👍
It's a shame Ireland is going for mass replacement migration today.
Immigration is the ultimate colonis@tion.

I.N.L.A later split I.P.L.O started up Martin "Rook " O Prey Gerald Steenson ,Jimmy Brown , Which also had split into two factions: the 'Army Council' (led by Jimmy Brown) and the 'Belfast Brigade' (led by Sammy Ward .If my memory serves me right
brilliant interview
It wasn't worth it ... the pain he and others suffered and inflicted. None of it was worth it.
The current troubles are worse, the drug troubles.
You obviously have no clue about the troubles. How dare you disrespect all of those who suffered this terrible nightmare and tragedy at the hands of British and loyalist murder gangs.
@@Irish1798 Yes I do as I have watched this my whole life and I didn't need to offend and have read books constantly and more for a decade about the whole history, not just the so-called Troubles. "786 people Died from Drugs in 2020 (last available figures) Between 2004-2020 there have been 11,066 drug-related deaths: 5,714 (51%) were due to poisoning 5,352 (49%) were non-poisoning." These figures do not include those in the last 4 years nor do they include deaths in the North nor do they include the murders committed connected with the drug trade. There were roughly 4000 killed in the Troubles on both sides during a period of about 30 years(so about halfway to reach that time span). A person dying from drugs is using drugs for a while and that, before their death affects their families and loved ones and communities. Also, the vast amount of people who are using drugs have not died. I supported the Republican cause and travelled there many times over the years and watched its demise and I notice the date in your name here and have gone to Wolf Tone's grave with Sinn Fein for the annual Oration and commemoration at Bodenstown from here in Scotland.
@@Irish1798 unfortunately immigration will destroy Ireland.
My grandma was prespertrian Scotland

May god bless this brave warrior 🙏
Brave warrior? A coward in a mask who shoots another human from behind. This is no brave man.
@MartinRobertFletcher sorry my friend lol, what's the difference between this warrior and the warriors of the British army?
@MartinRobertFletcher can you define a brave warrior?this answer will go viral lol.
@MartinRobertFletcher do you realise this brave man volunteered, never done this for 💰, and you have the ignorance to call him a coward 🙄, please 🙏 I will say a very small prayer for you, I think there is another coward in this chat?look in the mirror 🪞
@@wuwie83GT ex soldier who served in NI. Volunteered myself and did 4 tours. I can safely say these men were cowards who.killed in front of kids. Pulled men from beds in the middle if the night amd shot them unarmed in front of their wives. They will go to hell for their crimes.
For what? FREEDOM? What a waste of theiir lives. You have no idea what a brave warrior is. FOOL
