I can’t wait for this update, but I do have a couple gripes with the game. 1. The future lighting. I play on mobile so the future lighting makes the game really slow to the point where it’s almost unplayable. 2. The driver points. I don’t have a problem with the system itself, but I feel like it can be a nuisance sometimes, especially when you’re driving with ATO enabled, and it conks out sometimes so you end up being a few seconds late, resulting in a -15 point penalty. I also think the penalties for being late should be a bit less harsh for being a mere few seconds late. Those are really my only issues with the game, but other than that, I’m hyped for this update!!!
Thanks! We actually don’t use future lighting, it’s just the nature of the game being so detailed and not meshed that causes so much lag. We’re going through the long process of combating this by redoing the whole game with meshes. As for the driver points, we are revamping it along with the next patch update next week :)
This game looks very good. I have a question though. For the outer areas of the line such as Daly City, how accurate will the scenery be made around it? Its all really good but Im just wondering. ☺
You mean the comment where you call a group of developers making this game for fun, „kids”? lol, we are all atleast 17 here, and oldest being 21. If you have issues with the game, then I recommend finding a different game. I am not spending money on „skilled people“ for a project that is a hobby. You should disable future lighting it is not intended for large games like this and causes immense memory build up making it unplayable for low end devices and mobile
So, we don’t actually use future lighting for the game. The main cause of lag is us being dependent on Roblox physics for suspension, which was a bad idea to begin with. The full release of the game next year addresses this issue
The tracks actually having proper gaps in switches and the like already makes this ahead of so many train games
