I used to train with Jon Hess in the early 1990s. He's a very nice guy with an innocent laugh, like a nice kid. The MA we did included such things as eye gouges, knee drops, those step-kicks, and other stuff that is not legal in MMA. Hess fought as trained and it works. That training prepared me very well for BJJ, MMA, and Judo, as well. I'm thankful to him.
Say what you will about the fighters but dang this turned out to be brutal. Andy was simply outclassed by Jon, not only because Jon used illegal eye gouges at least three times but Jon had the advantage in both striking and grappling (didn't help that Jon was bigger and heavier either). Poor Andy probably needed to go to the hospital after that.
Saw him sitting in the audience right behind the commentators in UFC III or IV, then he stepped into the ring here and it didn't go so well. Also remember seeing Leonardo DiCaprio in the audience of UFC III. That one i do remember because it's when Royce fought Kimo.
John Hess is an absolute legend who introduced the dangerously effective SAFTA style to the masses during the early days of the UFC. John was brutally knocked out by a young Vitor Belfort in a fight that John would have prevailed if he didn't have the flu that night.
Andy Anderson is my second cousin. His dad and my grandma were brother and sister, and my mom babysat him when he was a little boy. My mom told me stories of how selfless he really was
@@punisher7772 pls tell me you have him as your profile picture as a joke. Also yeah you can fight dirty against someone who doesn't know what they're doing, usually making you the bully in that situation but a trained guy is gonna fuck you up anyway. Watch what happened to jon when he tried to kick vitor in the balls.
Most funny match i ever seen in my life😂😂😂
I met Andy in Laredo Mexico in 2006. He was cool guy. Bought all our drinks
Jon kicks are the funniest I ever seen 😂 🤣 😂❤ this is good comedy
Ron Jeremy looks a lot different with his clothes on
Wow, I never caught that Andy Anderson was going to give part of his winnings to a school for the blind!
The Hess physic is a Pirates Dream... a Sunken Chest
Back when UFC was really crazy!

@@Elsupermayan8870 ha ha yes, he had a serious look on his face with a white shirt....it was ufc 3.
he had no technical skill but Jon Hess was aggressive and ruthless. hard not to be impressed by that win at all cost style sloppy as his strikes were
hence SAFTA (Scientifically Aggressive Fighting Technology of America) Lol
Jon Hess was Chael Sonnen before Chael Sonnen in terms of memeability
Ron Jeremy? 😂
You heard that too? 😳
Jon Hess would have owned Royce Gracie if he was in UFC 1
Royce would have left the match blind and Hess with an arm or a leg with three or more fractures.
86-0 record in bare knuckle fights. Where the f did these guy got these records? :D
poor Andy, dressed up like a pro wrestling jobber, just knew he was going to lose before the fight even started :D

Белфорт был на стероидах
Белфорт был заряжен большим количеством стероидов
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Trable fighters
@bretthumprhry6821 sloppy as his attacks are here. Jon Hess would have beaten several other fighters from the first 11 ufc shows
As bad as your spelling?
Andy Anderson is my second cousin. His dad and my grandma were brother and sister, and my mom babysat him when he was a little boy. My mom told me stories of how selfless he really was
ha ha really? i think if Hess didn't cheat multiple times Andy would've done much better especially once he was on top! hope he's doing well!!!
Best fight in UFC history
Dana needs to put hess in the hall of fame soon
Real street fight anything goes, no rules on the street.
