I really like this, very dynamic, circular including the strikes. I bought the VHS tape in the mid 90s and was surprised when nothing else was available. It has been years since I have watched it, and I am not sure with the 50 lessons/techniques, one can attain any level of mastery of this. However I would love to learn more. Chief Hicks does not train civilians, I believe it is all for law enforcement so SCARS seems to be an option?
Those 50 lessons could turn into 5000. You need to understand the science behind this system. It grows with the individual so if you're a crappy fighter than no system or art or combat sport will help you. You have to have some kind of fighting spirit to get it.

I love to watch my SAFTA tapes, lots of moves ( taken from San Soo Kung Fu ) The focusing on specific targets ( and hitting them causes a specific reaction, same concept taught in American Kenpo ), the follow through and the manner in which the combinations are done really makes a difference. It is a unique fighting system. Effective stuff here.
You can say this is funny, but look at how many neck area punches they do work. The throat and eyes are a good way to end a fight with any one quickly no matter who they are or how well trained they may be (mma fighter).

I trained in kung fu san soo for years under Jimmy H. Woo in El Monte,Ca. A few years ago I bought a few of Jerry Peterson's Scars videos and did not see anything that was not kung fu san soo. San Soo is a great combat art,if done with the right individual and application. It looks to me that Mr. peterson is good at marketing and not paying ANY respect to his instructor-Jimmy H. Woo. SAFTA looks like san soo as well.
This is a poor example of how members of SEAL team six fight. I had a chance to train with a trainer and member of SEAL team six and he moved nothing like these guy's. His movements were short, compact, and explosive. More or less, he would never enter with, wide open gross movement. At minimum, his basic strikes would incapacitate on impact any part of the body, basically when he touched you, your ass was grass. Since I,experienced the real thing, I am somewhat leery of these concepts.

Essentially Choy Li Fut plus Hung Gar plus Ho Ga
Li Ga family is Chi Na/ Leverage using anatomy/ very similar to Aikido principles

I trained in kung fu san soo for years under Jimmy H. Woo in El Monte,Ca. A few years ago I bought a few of Jerry Peterson's Scars videos and did not see anything that was not kung fu san soo. San Soo is a great combat art,if done with the right individual and application. It looks to me that Mr. peterson is good at marketing and not paying ANY respect to his instructor-Jimmy H. Woo. SAFTA looks like san soo as well.

This is a poor example of how members of SEAL team six fight. I had a chance to train with a trainer and member of SEAL team six and he moved nothing like these guy's. His movements were short, compact, and explosive. More or less, he would never enter with, wide open gross movement. At minimum, his basic strikes would incapacitate on impact any part of the body, basically when he touched you, your ass was grass. Since I,experienced the real thing, I am somewhat leery of these concepts.
Ik this work bc my dad actually was thought these in the navy seals and he killed people enemies using these moves so whoever wanna talk mma stuff thats not a real fight.
