In actuality you will find the commandments of the NEW covenant in John 15:12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. 1st John 3:11: For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 2nd John 5: not as though I wrote to you a new commandment, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

If you don't live under God's Laws which are eternal (Psalm 19:9, 111:7-8, Matthew 5:18), then you are a liar (1 John 2:4-6).
God said He would put His Laws on the hearts of those who love Him (Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10, 10:16).

Jeremiah and Hebrews alluded to God's Laws which are eternal, (Psalm 19:9, 111:7-8) as to be written on the heart (Jeremiah 31:33-34, Hebrews 10:16).
This is far deeper than the mere words, but down to the thoughts thru the PRINCIPLES behind God's Laws.
Jesus taught this as anger related to murder and adultery is to lust (The Beatitudes, Matthew 5-7, Luke 6).
The ONLY Law we are NO longer under is the Law of Sacrificial Atonement (Hebrews 10, with important relevance to chapters 8 & 9).
Matthew 5:17-19 tells us God's Laws will last as long as the earth and warns against ANY other teaching.

I think most people also are sorely lacking in near eastern contextual information, like the fact laws were made and codified back then to keep order as the main goal, not to prevent every single minute evil that may occur, but to make sure it ultimately it didn't prosper in whatever situation it arose in, the purpose of the law wasn't to stop the opportunity of sin from presenting itself, but to conquer it when it appeared.
Also, the law was written very likely in didactic format, not legalistic format, it is a "The morale of this law is what you should take away from this example", not "This is an end all be all example specifically in which you can only apply the morale quality within this as a law/what you ought to do."
Jesus used this the same way, he wasn't legalistic like the Pharisees and Sadducees, he was didactic, unjust physical killing wasn't the only way to murder, hating someone else was ALSO a way to murder someone, because in order to hate (not dislike, but sheer HATRED) someone, you must wish to murder them in your heart first.
The concept of not loving your neighbor was the transgression of the law of God, and the torah laws merely gave those peoples real world examples they saw on a regular basis that they could observe contextually in their environment and humans tend to do generally that show what that looks like.
The letter of the law are examples of the law being transgressed or kept
But the actual literal law of God itself is: "Love god and love your neighbor with your whole being" (paraphrasing)
Every law is an example of one and/or both of these 2/1 law(s).
the law of God is simple, however the examples in which it can be transgressed or kept are many
Hence why if you understand to take the morale of the example for that situation or situations similar to it across times and cultures, which is not to be hateful to others in its many general forms it shows itself (the examples given in the OT), you can apply the law justly to whatever situation you find in yourself by searching if it follows the path of those examples and ultimately alligns with gods law (loving god and man completely).

The intention of any Law is to protect the innocent.
    John 4:24 -> God is a spirit.
    So in Romans 7:14 -> The Law is spiritual;
Where in Matthew 5 (:17 -> I am not to come to destroy the law, but fulfill it) is Jesus describing the 7 spiritual intentions of the Law.
You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit (receive a new heart), to be able to understand and comply to the law (see the parable of the 10 virgins).

THANK YOU for rightly teaching that the OT laws have _principles_ that we can _learn from,_ rather than telling us to obey Moses. Sadly, just as the 1st century Church had Judaizers harassing churches, so we also have them nearly 2000 years later. For example, modern Judaizers demand that we observe the Jewish sabbath, despite these facts:
    1) Nowhere in Scripture is there any hint that Sabbath-keeping was commanded from Adam to Moses-for thousands of years.
    2) The Word of God makes it quite clear that Sabbath observance was a special sign between God and Israel: “The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested” (Exodus 31:16-17).
In Deuteronomy 5, Moses restates the Ten Commandments to the next generation of Israelites. Here, after commanding Sabbath observance in verses 12-14, Moses gives the reason the Sabbath was given to the nation Israel: “Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day” (Deuteronomy 5:15).
God's intent for giving the Sabbath to Israel was not that they would remember creation, but that they would remember their Egyptian slavery and the Lord's deliverance. Note the requirements for Sabbath-keeping: A person placed under that Sabbath law could not leave his home on the Sabbath (Exodus 16:29), he could not build a fire (Exodus 35:3), and he could not cause anyone else to work (Deuteronomy 5:14). A person breaking the Sabbath law was to be put to death (Exodus 31:15; Numbers 15:32-35).
    3) Whenever Christ appears in His resurrected form and the day is mentioned, it is always the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1, 9, 10; Mark 16:9; Luke 24:1, 13, 15; John 20:19, 26).
    4) The only times the Sabbath is mentioned in Acts, the occasion is Jewish evangelism (Acts chapters 13-18). Paul wrote, “To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews” (1 Corinthians 9:20). Paul did not go to the synagogue to fellowship with and edify the saints, but to convict and save the lost.
After Paul states, “From now on I will go to the Gentiles” (Acts 18:6), the Sabbath is never again mentioned in Acts.
    5) Instead of suggesting adherence to the Sabbath day, the remainder of the New Testament implies the opposite (including the only exception to point 4, above, found in Colossians 2:16 -- "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ."
“One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord” (Romans 14:5-6).
“But now that you know God - or rather are known by God - how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You are observing special days and months and seasons and years” (Galatians 4:9-10).
    6) On the first day of creation week, God separated light from darkness. God does that still as we meet each first day of the week for worship.

    7) The Holy Spirit was poured out on the Day of Pentecost, which always falls on Sunday.
The Sabbath was given to Israel, not the church. The Sabbath is still Saturday, not Sunday, and has never been changed. But the Sabbath is part of the Old Testament Law, and Christians are free from the bondage of the Law (Galatians 4:1-26; Romans 6:14). Sabbath keeping is not required of the Christian-be it Saturday or Sunday. The first day of the week, Sunday, the Lord's Day (Revelation 1:10) celebrates the New Creation, with Christ as our resurrected Head. We are not obligated to follow the Mosaic Sabbath-resting, but are now free to follow the risen Christ-serving. The Apostle Paul said that each individual Christian should decide whether to observe a Sabbath rest, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind” (Romans 14:5). We are to worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday.

Mark 7: 6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “ ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’
8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!
10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’
11 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)-
12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother.
13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”
Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Deuteronomy 13:6 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. 9 You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 11 Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an evil thing again.
12 If you hear it said about one of the towns the Lord your God is giving you to live in 13 that troublemakers have arisen among you and have led the people of their town astray, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods you have not known), 14 then you must inquire, probe and investigate it thoroughly. And if it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done among you, 15 you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. You must destroy it completely,[b] both its people and its livestock. 16 You are to gather all the plunder of the town into the middle of the public square and completely burn the town and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. It's always helpful for me to keep the overriding narrative theme in mind, that God is always redeeming and restoring. The nation of Israel, like the prototypical man and women, had been exiled from a place of Promise/Paradise. God is then bringing them back into that place through the leadership of a Joshua (Y'Shua in Hebrew, or Jesus in Anglicized Greek). Do all analogies eventually break down? Of course.

Also, Jesus said 'all the Laws hang' from two most important commandments. And 'not one jot or tittle' is to be removed or added. People calling the laws civil or ceremonial are attempted to make some laws lesser in weight than others, thus apply man-made jots and tittles to them. Here is something to consider. When Jesus said this to the Samaritan woman, he initially told her "You worship what you do not know; we (the Jews) know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews" (John 4:22). Yes, many of the Jews are missing THE central piece of God's plan: Jesus. On the other hand, this does not discredit what they do possess. Paul tells us: "What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God" (Romans 3:1-2). For thousands of years, they have preserved the instructions of God. In the future, when they discover who Christ is (Zechariah 12:10), they will instantly know He is the one they have been following all along. They will become the teachers because they have the knowledge (Zechariah 8:23). We are already seeing this in our lifetime.

Let's understand one thing because of the confusion of those who are saying the law has been abolished and those who are saying the law still applies I'm going to agree with you both and i will explain.
Here is a question however that you must answer honestly, was Jesus the word of God? Was he the living mitzvah (Commandments) and Torah (instruction , law)?
Well in Colossians 2:13-15 Paul writes that the law of ordinances was crucified on the cross. Any objections? If that being so in what form was it ( the law and commandments) crucified?
It's form was representing the law and Commandments written on parchment and Stone. In other words the inanimate word of God. Which was already considered dead not because the words but because it has no life, it cannot move or breathe , it does not have its own autonomy, it is much like a recipe it can only describe what it is going to create but you can't eat a recipe right? it only tastes like paper , but if you prepare what it prescribes what it directs and use the proper ingredients then you can come up with some really great food , would you agree?
So Jesus being the word of God both the law and Commandments and the prophets was he or was he not crucified on a cross? ........of course he was, but is that the end of the story? .... No! He was then, after fulfilling his script, he died! , and then he like a loaf of bread was placed in an oven , he was placed in the tomb.
For 3 days then what happened?
He was resurrected in new life! As a fresh loaf of bread was taken out of an oven , ready to be consumed.
So Jesus being the word of God was crucified on the cross which was the mixing of the right ingredients that the law prescribed even including the sin of the world represented as leaven that died with Christ on the cross and now that same leaven is made unto Us righteousness , represented as the leaven or yeast that will cause it to rise and to grow, ( ref. Matt.13:33) then since the recipe was complete the dough was ready to go into the oven and 3 Days Later becomes a fresh loaf of bread for Jesus says I am the bread of life ...... John 6:35 ( flour , water and salt). In the tomb , mixed with the faith represented in the oil of the holy spirit, causing the bread to remain soft and fresh.( the body does not harden as a result).
So in essence Jesus fulfilling the word of God written on parchment and stone was Crucified as the curse of sin and death was laid upon him, and the written word of God was fulfilled and no longer valid in its inanimate form. For Jesus says Think not that I have come to abolish the law but I have come to fulfill it......... Ref.Matt.5:17
But it now required a transformation from the written on parchment and stone to being written on the hearts of man!
As the New Covenant suggests! The law written on parchment and stone has been mixed with faith( the holy spirit) and is now known as the law of the spirit as Paul writes about in The Book of Romans 8
Another example is let's consider the written law and Commandments represented as a CONSUMING CATERPILLAR.
And let's consider the TOMB as the Cocoon where TRANSFORMATION from
    CATERPILLAR TO BUTTERFLY takes place.
And now let's consider the law of the spirit written on the hearts of men as the inevitable TRANSFORMATION into a LIFE PRODUCING BUTTERFLY.

Objection, Colossians 2:13-15 was written before Paul was admonished by the Apostles for not following the law. He was forced to shamefully shave his head (symbolic making equivalent to a NEWB), and had to swear to be 'obedient to the law' and not teach disobedience. He took the Nazarite Vow and didn't become an OATHBREAKER like you are claiming he is. He started to follow the law. Acts was written after Colossians so it is safe to claim he wrote Col before the vow.
Later on, Paul had many problems, there were 'fake Pauls' whom LOVED the 'I don't need to follow Law' slothfulness and started to write fake letters in the name of Paul in which he did not write. This was fraud. In 2 Thessalonians Paul addressed others not to read fake letters claiming they were from Paul, as they did not have his distinguishing mark.
Others, like Marcion whom first got a hold of Paul's writings before anyone else, loved him so much, he decided to re-organize them placing Colossians in an important location in the order for his ideology to win out. He likely also did interpolations, or took fake Paul's letters as more importance than the original Paul. Basically using Paul's name to his detriment and without permission. Either way making it seem Paul's heroin importance greater than the Apostles. His ideology was to override much of what Jesus really taught. It rejected the Old Law because of an Evil God in the Old Testament, while creating a new Good God. This debate about not following the Law is just a lingering wound from the debate about Marcionism heresy, that hasn't been fully healed yet.
The real Paul was unlikely an oathbreaker after the Vow. The way you portray Paul is the same as Marcion, he held resentment towards the 'super Apostles' and thus had to usurp them. That would mean he broke his oath, and is thus a villain not a hero. He broke his oath, by not following the law, and teaching others not to follow the law also against the will of the Apostles who punished him.
Also, I find it extremely distressing that you back this idea of Paul to 'reject all the old Divine Law' and 'accept all the secular law' and 'accept a bunch of new laws.' One example of many is Polygamy, explicitly allowed in the old Exodus 21; and then you make your own in the New Covenant, monogamy, fully rejecting it. A contradiction of your convictions not to follow the Law, since you create new ones.
If you need a new law to do away with another Law you don't like to follow, it is a major defeater of your logic. For if by law you force on another, then by 'with whatever measure you measure, it will measured to you.' God will measure you by 'his Law' because you measure another by 'your law.' Meaning since you admit to being in need some type of law, then there was no reason to do away with the Old Law. A contradictory position is you love the law and hate the Law at the same time. What you do is prey upon the vagueness in the New Testament which lets you make new laws, as long as you deal with those pesky old Laws that are your hindrance and mostly ignore the Old Testament as it would nullify your belief. Thus, you have poison in your heart for the Law and Old Testament. That is counter to the prophecy by Jeremiah and Ezekiel where 'the laws will be in the heart of men.' This poison you inject into Christianity is antinomianism heresy.
BTW 'fulfill' is the synonym of consummate, it does not mean end. When you took your wife on a honeymoon night to consummate, did your marriage instantly end in divorce? No, it likewise doesn't mean she became pregnant and gave birth, because that is called procreation. Your equivocation fallacy is you think Jesus came and gave birth to something new like a baby while simultaneously hacking up his wife and then you make it sound like a butterfly. Where oh where is this 'beautiful butterfly' pray tell? Is that the new laws you man-made created? Or is that the laws from the Oathbreaking Paul? Or was it from some vague out of context verse that you use to replace an old law?
You not have cognitive dissonance that the Old Testament ugly 'caterpillar' needed to be discarded for a 'beautiful butterfly' is just a repackaged version of Marcionism? There is nothing ugly about it, that is why Jesus is called the Word made Flesh. He even declared himself 'The Way, the Truth and the Life' which was the nickname of the Tanahk at that time 2000 years ago. Then he went on and said, to get to the Father is 'only through me(Tanahk).' *It isn't 'Ignore the way, the truth and the life(Tanahk), by avoiding it is the way to the Father.'* BTW the earliest Christians, called themselves 'The Way.'
Also, in Jeremiah 21:8 God specifies the WAY OF LIFE is through the discipline he is dispensing upon Israel. So you as a foreigner and not Israelite, you now want to claim God whom disciplines as a 'Way of Life' is wrong. Doesn't work like that, as long as you are taking the Israelite God, you also get all his ideology 'discipline as a means of instruction.'
In Psalm 119:30 in the 'Set fire to my feet for your word' describes what is the truth. "29Remove me from the path of deceit and graciously grant me Your law. 30I have chosen the way of truth; I have set Your ordinances before me." - No one needs to be more clear, there is only ONE TRUTH and that is all the Law, and you are to set them before you and walk over them without complaint, questioning or hesitation, and then you'll have the fire of the word of God in you.
So let me sum it up for you. The way, the truth and the life = Tanahk. The way = the law. Truth = obedience without question. Life = the discipline learned from your punishments or chastisements.
The way (the divine law), the truth (obedience), the life (disciplined). Divine Law, obedience & discipline = Jesus.

@@shepardabraham2574Friend, I'll try and make this a little easier for you ok?
Is Jesus the word of God made flesh? and was he crucified on the cross?
Was Jesus , the word of God, then laid in a tomb?
And was Jesus, the word of God resurrected in New Life on the 3rd day?
So now is the word of God no longer considered dead and inanimate as Words on parchment and stone are considered lifeless?
In other words the law and commandments written on parchment and stone are like a recipe , they give instruction on how to create a certain type of food. But the recipe only describes how to create but the result is what is created, by this word of God which is a resurrected christ in you.
Now you can choose to eat this parchment and though it doesn't taste very well it becomes alive when it is mixed with faith bc you consumed it through your eyes and ears and it went into your heart( tomb) mixed with faith (the Holy Spirit) and now it is a resurrected living word of God As you express it through your actions.
Is that same word of God now written on the hearts of men! Through the Holy Spirit?
Is Jesus , the word of God including the law and Commandments Resurrected in New Life now called the spirit of the law?
      Ref.Romans 8.
So you might say the death burial and resurrection of the word of God who is the Torah and Commandments Yeshua Ha mashiach! Is the process by which an inanimate dead word, is resurrected into new life!
Through this consummation of reading and or hearing the lifeless words on parchment then the words go into the tomb of our hearts and there , they are mixed with faith resurrected in new life as those words now become actions and the evidence of things not seen!
I hope you understand now! If you don't please read it again until you do.

      Incomplete.
Jesus did NOT come to usurp God’s Commandments (Matthew 5:17-19, John 6:38).
Since Jesus DIRECTLY quoted from the Torah in Matthew 22:37-39, which John did, and YOU did also, originally in Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18, John ALSO quoted Jesus quoting Exodus 20:6 where God says, “If you love Me, keep My Commandments” in John 14:15, 15:10, 15:14, 1 John 2:4-6 and Revelation 14:12.
We must FIRST understand what love is. Love is sacrifice (1 John 3:16, John 15:13). Sacrifice is self denial, or submission to obedience. Without laws, what are we to submit and be obedient to?? Without the Law of God, what did He write on my heart?? (Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10, 10:16)

I already know the answer to this one. Mr 'don't follow the law as they are a burden' Paul wrote about this long ago. Well, lo and behold, Christianity has a ton of 'new laws' they wrote and enforce. A good example is monogamy enforcement when polygamy was explicitly permitted in the bible before. Just one example of many. Since you want to make new laws, you stumbled yourself into the old ones as well. 'with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.' Create a law? Then live by them all stumbler. Seriously, you all going to hell for living a life of iniquity. You don't follow the law, you just create your own new ones and ignore the old ones you don't like. And that is creating God in your own image rather than following the entire book.

Gideon, he was rewarded with many children and many wives, and a peaceful reign while he lived, and did no wrong. He went after idolaters and idealists that didn't belong. Notice how he was rewarded from God with wives and many sons
As for the story of Solomon, he was gifted by God many wives. He had a long and peaceful reign. Many of his wives were of a political nature to keep the peace. It wasn't until he listened to his wife and dabbled in idolatry. But we know this story is repeated in the bible many times, not because of polygamy, but because of listening to the woman.
Ahab listened to Jezebel, his ONE wife and turned the entire nation against God. According to your logical fallacy, if we judged Ahab the same way, we would claim his 'monogamy' lead him to idolatry and turned the nation away from God. But the truth is, your seething hate of fellow men and their polygamous nature(a creation by God), colour blinds you to the fact that you can not recognize the differences and similarities in these two stories. That is that having one wife or multiple wives is of no difference, you can still fall into idolatry.
