I grew up listening to and loving this kind of music and being considered totally old fashioned. Now I see so many new brilliant talented young musicians who live this music from their childhood. The joy is that these are so much younger than our own children. So the future of this music must be assured for another couple of generations. Andrea Motis is the prime example, but I see so many others who Joan Chamorro has coached. Andrea has gained so much confidence and leads this whole event. Surely she must have a huge future ahead of her.
Oh my goodness....I've watched Andrea grow up and mature and perfect her stage presence....She has become quite a singer and entertainer.....Bravo, Andrea.... I love the spell you put on people by listening to that beautiful voice of yours....

That's proof this is not show business and that is precisely the reason for the over the top effectiveness of everything they do. Pure music and pure musicians---pretty hard to find these days. What a really wonderful concert! I too have been following Andrea for many years under the guidance of Joan Chamorro, and indeed, she has matured to a beautiful artist. The music is a wonderful mixture of straight ahead jazz and a blend of modern chamber music (to my mind). All of it fantastic. Thank you to all of these wonderful musicians.

Music is the universal language. I loved Ain't No Sunshine and the trumpet part especialky. Bill Withers was a great man. Then the next guitar waltz tune was so gentle and beautiful.

Wonderful concert of diverse Jazz music. For me is Ignasi, the virtuosic pianist, just incredible. Also full accolade to Joan who’s influence guided and tutored those fantastic talented Barcelona students. And then there is of course Andrea singing/playing her heart out! Dig/Enjoy and many Cheers by keeping Jazz, in all it’s many forms, well and truly alive.!

I congratulate you on perfecting your scales, your ear, your breathing, and embouchure. You have come a long way with your solos and it has been a pleasure to watch you grow into a beautiful young lady and now a mother.
The game plan when I saw this posted was to listen and watch, think deep thoughts and write some poetry or philosophy or philosophical poetry. The reality was finding myself with my hands clasped behind my head, leaning back and soaking it all in. I'll admit that when I saw Andrea was going to present a Guitar Storm (though the Guitart typo is accurate), I sort of wondered why. Well, why not? I'm still getting used to the jazz tradition of everybody on the stage getting to shine nearly every song; the Star, steps back and enjoys the proceedings.
Andre MOTIS is an absolutely amazing talent whom I have been following on RUclips for some times. When she sings, I am transported to paradise. Thank you for #haring your talent with the world. Joan Chamorro is a wonderful teacher and mento. Jazz is alive and well as long as he and ANDREA are in bloom.. BTW, I’m a 78 year old fan who really appreciates the music you play and #ing. That's Michael Valeanu on the opening number, "The Nearness of You". This is the first time I have heard Andrea sing this and Time After Time. A good part of the program is new material. Andrea spends much of Jan and Feb in Chile with a 2nd quintet. Dannemann is the regular guitarist there. And, Christoph Mallinger is also a regular in the Chilean group as well as on some European dates. Michael was down in Chile from New York City where his base is and performed as a guest in one of Andrea and Christoph's concerts that is on RUclips.
