Just installed on my 2020 Eco. Took me 2.5 hours but I got cheap tools and am total rookie when it comes to car stuff. It sounds awesome in person, definitely a nice turbo whistle when accelerating.
@@soulassassin4847 i have a 2020 eco. I installed this about 6 months ago. Performance feels the same tbh. A little more noisy in the cabin. Throttle response is better and you can hear the turbo whistle more.
Wonder why Roush stopped with the labeling on their inlet assemblies? I have a roush CAI on my '15 GT and was upset that it came with a sticker instead of 'ROUSH' etched into the actual housing. Just looks better instead of some stupid sticker
Is this better than the stock air intake? I see everywhere that it’s just better to keep the stock intake and just enhance it by adding an airade tube instead. Let me know if I’m mistaken though because I really want to get this 🤔
Great review! My PCV hose won’t click back in. I never got took it aggressively since it came out smoothly… im putting all the pressure I can but still no click

I have 2021 ecoboost with CVF downpipe and mbrp catback exhaust. But I have the CEL coz of downpipe. I am thinking of getting this CAI should I get this first or get the Cobb accessport 1st. Does Cobb OTS tunes help for CEL??
I purchased one of these in an open box and it was only missing the cone filter connector tube at 8:17, how would I go about buying this part individually?
Hey I have a question, so on my stock airbox, it only had 1 out of the 3 rubber grommets. So I didn’t have two of the ones I needed and also the steel spacer was missing from my stock Intake.
I just put this thing on my 19 ecoboost and it didnt make any difference on the noise like the "pshhhh" sound, all I got is a knocking sound everytime the turbo hits or when I go 2000 to 3000 rpm. Whats this knocking sound that im hearing?
yes, if you want it to properly function. you might get more sound with the cover off, but then it’ll probably be making less hp gains, or maybe even loss in hp.
I wonder why Roush’s older ecoboosts intakes have an open top and the newer ones don’t. :/ I wanted the open top roush kit for my 19 but I’m only finding it for the older models
Did you reverse the steel spacer on the second grommet? Also, forget the needle hose pliers for the hose clamp on the air bypass hose... ' You gonna need some heavy duty channel locks... Otherwise, very informative video.
It’s getting cold air from the front grill. You don’t want warm engine air going into your cold air intake, hence why it’s called a cold air intake. Hope this helps!
@White Wolf CAIs only void warranty if you tune. If you don't they can't blame anything on it. A non tube cai does absolutely nothing, but suck in more hot air.

Most of the reviews you have seen are from V6 owners... if you look at 2018+ owners who use the current Roush closed-box CAI, they will all just say good things about it.. back then Roush cai was open boxed which is totally useless just sucking hot air..

At 3:49 I broke the clip with my needle noses. Does anyone have a part number for the clip?
Can somebody help in telling me if it affects the reliability of the engine?

Can this specific air intake be installed on a 2017 ecoboost mustang?
yeah
MackN9NE no
What do you think of the roush tune for 19 ecoboost
Another question may be stupid but after roush install of the cold air intake, do I need a new tune or nah?
Not required, but a tune will help improve performance on this intake.
Someone help me understand this because I’m confused... isn’t the heat shield restricting the amount of air the cai is sucking in ?
It’s getting cold air from the front grill. You don’t want warm engine air going into your cold air intake, hence why it’s called a cold air intake. Hope this helps!
Does this fit in 2020 models
There are a ton of people who say you need a tune regardless. Can anyone confirm?
A tune is definitely going to increase the performance you get out of this intake, but that being said a tune is really not needed for install. -Zach

My car is 2017 also, my wastegate gone bad because that.

No, it do demege to my wastegate
The unit for the 2017 is an open top that seals to the hood, drawing air through the grill. Installs the same.
Does this intake void the factory warranty?
