    Once you've learned a guitar scale pattern, it's easy to get into the habit of playing in predictable, linear sequences up and down the scale. This lesson shows you how to make your guitar solos musical.
    This lesson shows you how to navigate guitar scales in a musical way, by using simple sequencing forms such as note skipping, staggered runs and pedal notes.
    You can apply these sequencing techniques in any scale pattern you might learn. Practicing scales in this way will help you develop your improvisation and writing skills.

      Kudos for the Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you thought about - Riddleagan Skillful Playing Remedy (just google it)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for learning complex guitar chords and become a pro minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend Sam at very last got amazing success with it.

    The most important thing is to listen to the music and find out what works for each part. Explore new music (jazz and all it's sub genres are often especially stimulating for revealing new patterns) and don't be scared of hitting occasional bum notes while practicing. If you play weird notes with conviction and don't "land" on them they can work really well in a run / lick.

    so ive played guitar for almost 10 years, first peeked into scales after 2-3 years of playing, got lost, got frustrated, hated them with all my heart. Now, 8 more years later i find this channel, and my hate for scales grows to huge love and appreciacion :) thank you fretjam, uve changed my view on scales :)

    • @oPosiidon2800
      @oPosiidon2800 6 лет назад

      SneakyRoninGaming I'm late but it took you 8 years to get back into scales? When I started it's what I practiced no matter if I hated it or not. Music theory is pretty easy once you grasp the concepts.
