- The main issue raised when it came to Rhaenyra inheriting her fathers throne was on the account of her gender. For hundreds of years in Westeros by tradition and precedent a son usually comes before a daughter. This was the belief with Rhaenys "The Queen Who Never Was" as it now is to some when it comes to Queen Rhaenyra. But what if the King daughter had been a son all along?

Who knows maybe under the advice of a bored Daemon he starts a different dance with Dorne thinking he can win with more dragons than what Aegon had. Then he loses all but one of his kids in the said dance, goes mad and is poisoned
That would be rlly interesting cuz there would still be dragons and with the dragons there is usually more conflict so there would be some sort of dance but later on with other Targaryens

I read a fanfic about this once. Didn’t get to the actual conclusion yet but the idea was solid. Good story too.
Otto made a suitable marriage alliance with Jacareys and the first daughter of Alicent. What else he can do.

@thegreatpage5912 I don't think Aemond would let anyone else be regent, including Otto. He's the second oldest son of the previous king, and he has Vhagar.
It’s funny how it’s Otto saying she’s a woman so she can’t rule when it was Otto who pushed for her to be heir to begin with, because the thought of Daemon being the heir made him nearly shit his britches.
Plus remember she saved him from daemon and when she did that he saw that she had the potential of being a great ruler and he couldn’t have that because he wants his kin and blood on the throne so he can easily control him and Otto would be the true ruler of the seven kingdoms. Everything that Otto did it backfires and I love it and folks call him smart when he’s an idiot for doing what he did to spite Dameon and Dameon has experience in war and he’s ruthless so Otto is basically a coward

@@nathanielregan289 the timing of it is ridiculous too - I can’t remember if the timing was the same in F&B, but pushing that right after Aemma’s death and then moments later pushing Alicent on the king…. Very poor foresight.
@brittanyrae5771 Otto simply never considered it ever possible in such a misogynistic world that the king would choose his daughter over a son it was inconceivable to him especially since Viserys gained his crown on the weakness of a woman claim.

@@kpop9474alicent isn’t but Aemond might have his own ideas. Let’s say of the legitimate children we have Rhaenyra, Rhaena and Baela. All girls. Then Aegon, Aemond, Helaena and Daeron are the bastards. Aegon is still a threat bc he’s the oldest son but he’s content being a bastard rich boy. Helaena being just a bastard daughter is given to the faith. So in this version it’s an even more pronounced game of boys vs girls.
What if rhaenyra was more subtle with making illegitimate children and chose daemon or a velaryon nephew to make children with?

Well, since they changed the skin tone of the valaryeons having a white child would clue them in. And even if she chose a valeryon, the person would have to keep quiet and if that person told anyone, that person could black mail Rhanera to keep her secret.
There are 1000s of dragon seeds on dragonstone and driftmark. Surly there was one who was a steward or a sir who she could have choosen
In this scenario, I'm pretty sure mRhaenyra and Alicent will have at least five children, like they will be the new version of Jaehaerys and Alysanne.
And the dragons that have an important role in the Dance, like Sunfyre, Tessarion, Vermax, and Arrax,
will be mRhaenyra and Alicent's children's dragon for sure, or maybe they would go claim the unride dragon like Vermithor, Silverwing, and Dreamfyre.

Even if MaleRhaenyra was boinking Daemon they would never have childeren together so that would not matter. The best thing Daemon could do is to get one of is daughters to either marry MaleRhaenyra or get a baby from him. A great bastard.
1. Male-Rhaenyra would inherit unchallenged.
2. The 3 bastards Rhae-gon had by "Helen Strong" would not be in line to inherit anything.
3. Rhae-gon would have children by his gay spouse, because the duty to "get it up" would fall on the person who is not gay.
4. Rhae-gon would still not get to choose his bride, just like Rhaenyra didn't. The best match is still to join with house Velaryon, just with Laena instead of Laenor.
Hey, heres the thing. If they did have more children lets just say when aemma was pregnant in the great councils that Babe lives its a girl she is rhaenyra, and then later on aemma last pregnancy is baelon and both him and aemma live both live. We have aegon as heir baelon as the spare and rhaenyra is still the realms delight.

Oh! fascinating idea! female jacaerys would need to be legitimate though or no dice. But the Hightowers may have backed down as Aegon would be assured of being King after Rhaenyra. The realm would have viewed it as Rhaenyra acknowledging and righting the misguidedness of her father when she got the opportunity. It would have won her much approval from the older houses and make her rule easier.
@@livelovelife32Rhaenyra needs Corlys' support as much as she needs air to breathe (because he is the only one who can really expose her), so there is a possibility femJaecaerys would marry a Velaryon. Maybe Corlys will push Laena into having a boy to the point it causes her death earlier, but if she manages to get a boy the boy will marry femJacaerys beyond any doubt.

Also, Aemma might still be alive because she may not have gone through so many subsequent pregnancies in an attempt to "give" Viserys a male heir if he already had one. (Of course, they always wanted "an heir and a spare" to be on the safe side.) Also, if Aemma had lived, Otto wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to shove Alicent toward Viserys. No marriage to Alicent = no dance.
He still would’ve wanted more heirs just as when he named Rhaenyra. He told her he had to make more heirs he couldn’t just leave the line to one person in case she died.
Otto would have most likely placed Alicent in front of male Rhaenyra instead of Viserys.

@@iprobablywontseeyourreply.7193 - If Rhaenyra had been a boy, then he could have helped his parents. As far as succession is concerned a male grandchild born to the king's oldest male child as good, actually better, than the reigning king having a second son.
A 15-year old male Rhaenyra could have married a 15 year-old still female Alicent and started knocking her up then. Every child born to her would take pressure off of Aemma. If she had a healthy boy then there would be 2 generations of unquestionable succession alive after Viserys, thus no succession crisis.
Assuming everything goes the same, male Rhaenyra would most certainly choose Alicent as his Queen. And it'd actually be one of the few rare happy marriages, and she'd embrace her role and motherhood. The two were already in love in the real story (confirmed by actors). I can see them being the new Jaeherys and Allysane. If only...
Yeah, but Viserys would almost certainly choose Laena Velaryon for male Rhaenyra (hereafter referred to as "Rhaemond"). Corlys is still there, still rich, and still has a navy. His daughter is a better match.

Still, Vis may have let him choose his own wife which may well have been Alicent. As I understand it, Alicent is supposed to be knockout gorgeous and a bit of a genetic freak in that she never loses her looks or figure no matter how many kids she has.
What if Daemon and Rhea Royce had a son?
What if Daemon was king? Idk if Viserys died early and named him as successor or was never born, Deamon vs Rhaenys, Laenor vs Baela and Rhaena who in this timeline would probably be Visenya wich he had with Rhea Royce or he get rid of her and married young Rhaenyra, or somehow he will be forced by Otto to marry Alicent, or he will end up with Amma.......

Alternatively if this Aegon shared canon Rhaenyra's preference for men he might marry someone who's open to the sort of relationship she had with Laenor. In this scenario you'd have something like the ASOIAF plot-line where the king's "legitimate" children aren't his. Except this time the king would be well aware of this and no more bothered than Laenor was in HotD.
Alicent would have a teenage pregnancy bc of male Rhaenyra so they would have to get married.
Actually in the book, Daemon was cold towards Aegon, Aemond and Daeron because they displaced him in the line of succession. So, Daemon would be cold towards this timeline's Aegon.
I know it was rejected out of spite, but I always thought it would have been smart to wed Helena to Lucaerys (can't spell hope that's right lol)
I know that there's the offense of marrying 'bastards' but they're still targaryean (again spelling not my strongest ability) and it would have just ended so many problems, it probably would have caused loads too but it would have eased the immediate issues surrounding the throne.
It's Jacaerys whom Rhaenyra proposed to bethrot with Helaena, not Lucerys.
As Jacaerys is Rhaenyra's eldest child, and subsequently, her heir to the Iron Throne.
What if daemon and caraxes lived
Only potential conflict I see here is with the Velaryons of they feel insulted that mRhaenyra doesn't marry Laena but even that might not be likely. In terms of dragons they have the advantage (meleys, seasmoke, vhagar vs Caraxes and Syrax) but the the support of the realm will be with the Targaryens. Only house baratheon and the stormlands would back the Velaryons

Yes, I think a Boy Rhaenyra (Aegon) would marry with Alicent if the two had spent two many time together in the past...in any case, there would no be any dance.
Alicent would have still tried one way or the other to put her sons on the throne it's would just be harder for you
What if rhaenyra married quoren martell and untited dorne with westeros
Then Rhaenyra will have Dorne at her side during the Dance, as I still think the Dance will still happen.
And Dorne will definitely be one of the first, if not, the first, great house to declare their support on Rhaenyra,
not just because they're now related, but also because Dorne's own law that allow a woman to inherit.
With Dorne on Rhaenyra's side, I think the Blacks will have more advantage than the Greens
because they will completely control the Narrow Sea (assuming the Velaryons also declare for Rhaenyra),
that including Stepstones, and consider that Dorne was the only kingdom that successfully avoid Aegon the Conqueror's invasion,
their strategies on war would be very much help for the Blacks. And Dorne will be Rhaenyra's main force against Oldtown and Storm's End.
This would also give more legitimacy as she and viserys would have united dorne with the rest of the seven kingdoms somthing aegon the conqueror failed to do
@@94mp99 I think more houses in the Reach would support Aegon in this timeline, because of their resentment of Dorne, so this means that Daeron could potentially link up with Criston and Aemond earlier on in the Dance..
If she had been born a boy, Alicent would still think her son deserved to be king. So he’d have an “accident” that would put aegon on the throne.
But Viserys won't remarry since he won't be so desperate for a male heir.
Pause at 8 mins. There will still be a Hightower queen just married to Aegon cause the kings a fool who doesn't recognize the snake his hand is

For the first one, it's simple, if the boar kill Rhaenyra, Aegon will become the new heir as he's the second in line after Rhaenyra.
I don't think maleRhae would marry Alicent. I absolutely believe that he'd marry Laena Valeryon, not only to mend any bad blood but also because it's the Valyrian way. Rarely did Targaryens marry outside of the family; only when there were no viable mates in the family of the opposite gender would they marry outside of the old blood. Aegon the Unlikely married Betha because he was the fourth son of the fourth son and he believed that the inbreeding was bad. It didn't stop his son from marrying his daughter even though they were both betrothed to other Houses. I think maleRhae would have married Laena in a heartbeat.
