@@Hockeistguyalive I really thought you had a point, before I looked up who Pavel Barber was. I recognized the name, and couldn't figure out from where. But yeah, Zegras is on pace for 22g and 65 pts as a rookie and has already pulled off the Michigan mid-game than any other NHLer in history. This kid will be delighting fans for years to come...and if it doesn't work out for him, he can always fall back on a career as a RUclipsr 🤷♂
Barber has never been around the nhl ever. He was a Canadian floorball and field pro turned RUclipsr. And for your information because of his hard work and I’m sure thanks in part to his innovative technique has caught the eyes of a 3’s pro league and is now in training for that.
That… might be a top ten goal all time. To go from a between the legs shot, find the rebound from the feet, without breaking a single stride and having the instinct to go “I can beat this guy on the wraparound with a fucking lacrosse move” and then DOING the lacrosse move and still having the wherewithal AND control to see Milano who’s straight up stuck, (it happens sometimes.) and still be able to put it in, is a display of something different. Z is literally changing the way hockey is played by using this move, which at one point was flashy and sort of a 1 in 50 thing, to now, it’s just like shooting a wrist shot.
Kane never did anything remotely like this but hockey fans loves their random nonsensical comparisons I guess. Title lowkey disrespects and undermines both of of them and what they have done in the league.
imo just because he can do a michigan doesn't mean his hands are as good as kanes... side to side deking kane has zegras by a long shot zegras would lose the puck before kane, idk if kane can do the michigan im sure he can but he hasen't tried it in a game like 99% of players, seems like the only ones going for michigans are younger newer players in the league not the veterans obviously
J. Hughes is the better comp for Kane. some plays look almost identical when comparing the two. definitely something to follow over the years to see if they can actually live up to the hype. I get you have to clickbait for views but that's just a ridiculous title
I Coached High School age Players for years and drilled respect into them. I often told them ... "You never embarrass the other Team". We play the game with class and honour, whether we are winning or losing. It's called Sportsmanship! This "Michigan" move ("AKA" Lacrosse move), is not hockey. It's showboating. Prior to the NHL going soft, back when each Team still carried an Enforcer or two, these silly type moves would not be attempted and if they were, they'd be swiftly dealt with. If a Player tried to "show up" former New York Islanders Hall of Famer Billy Smith (who won 4 Stanley Cups) like this. He'd have a broken ankle the next time he came anywhere close to Billy's crease! There are many exciting goals scored in today's NHL without showboating or embarrassing the other Team.
Given his position on the ice how else would he have scored that? A wrap around attempt would have failed. Why would you not take a scoring chance? That is not how you keep your job. It's just another way to score. Would you have gone after Charlie Conacher for starting the slap shot? Or hell would you go after Gretzky for going behind his office (the opposing net)? The game changes but you can't handle it. You sound like a Boomer. Not a Ducks fan by the way. My team isn't even in the west.
The fact that he first tried to go between legs and then had to go around Milano like that made this one pretty cool, Zegras is a stud
What NHL team does Pavel Barber play for?… Circus acts always leave town. Remember that.

@@Hockeistguyalive he doesn’t play for an nhl team and never did

dont get ahead of yourself. sweet goal, not top ten
thats a lot of words
Nah, he's the first Trevor Zegras
no he is the first mikael grandlund
This young man is going to be expensive
when you have to slow down the play by hand to see how great it was, yeah. yep- this is a pricey player holy shit
@@alecnewman6052 I really hope he gets put on better team he has so much talent but it’s being wasted on a team that’s not that good
feel a little nostalgic… nothing can compare or replace patrick kane ❤️
This is amazing! I can watch it forever
I love the fact that they celebrate the goal like it wasn’t one of the nicest goals of all time
Trevor better get 3+ cups before he gets that feat 😂
That was a thing of beauty
He's amazing
Someone needs to rock this guy when he comes around the net.
gonna cry?
Lol the whole reason why he attempted was because the was plenty of time and room.
@@matthewkabel6246 no I’m not gonna cry. I just wanna see a big hit on that kinda play it would be hype

Yea well see how many scoring titles and hart trophies Zegras wins....psh. Like zero....

holy shit shut up
Is Zegras a potential, elite playoff performer ? That is the question mon ami.
zegras isn't the next patrick kane. zegras is zegras
He is not the next Patrick Kane. He is the only Trevor Zegras.
It saddens me that he only a 86 overall in nhl 22 😂
zegras proving hes worth millions
Jack Hughes is FAR MORE like 88 than Zegras. Both studs but Jack is much more elusive and plays closer type game to Kaner.
Usually these goals are done very quick. How this is legal just skating with the puck for so long on the blade is crazy
Don’t disrespect Kane 😂
Right?
Kane has never done this so stop taking players individuality with shitty titles like this
holy fuck youre so offended
Yeah I felt it's unfair to Kane, but u can compare him to me, but only in my dreams! 😂
His not going to be the next Kane. His the original Zegras.
I’ve never seen patty kane do the lactose move but ok

no next svechnikov
Um..... You heard it here first. Hes no where near Patrick Kanes level.
gonna suck to be a duck fan when they have to resign this guy. Cha Ching!
You guys have to at this point. Panthers Fan.
Hes more skilled than kane kiddo

And here we've found Torts playing on the internet again.
The lacrosse move with the goalie knocked down on the other side of the net. Otherwise known as an empty net. Too fancy.
the goalie fell while trying to get over.An empty net but definitely not too fancy.
i think vejmelka saves it if he just wraps around the net with the puck on the ice. definitely not too fancy
Plus having to co-ordinate with Milano made it a little tougher imo, it was a slick play

Patrick has never tried the Michigan? How is he Patrick Kane makes no sense
Really isn’t that impressive. A goal blown way out of proportion.
