A Maya X Owner here is totally not biased. Still, the mouse uses onboard memory for settings, which means no need to download software, which is insanely better than having additional apps/software for mouse settings. Also, no need to buy a separate dongle is 10x better.
after installing some dot skates i wonder if i should pull the sensor ring or not? i was surprised that there's no baseplate behind the 2 ptfe dots beside the sensor. the stock skates are decent, but too controlled for me. this for me is better than any shape i tried before. it doesnt strain me as smaller mice, but i can still micro adjust with claw. also changing grip styles during a session doesnt seem to affect the comfort at all. battery life is bad, but i think i take the trade off. what is the copetitive mode actually doing? running the sensor at full power?
I usually keep the sensor skate on. The comp mode just removes any power saving stuff from the sensor so it is essentially running it with full power. I use it on but don’t rly feel the difference when it’s off
@@jerrorr i just removed it because i had the suspicion its slightly higher than the new dot skates(talon games). feels a tad bit better now. if i run into issues i can glue it back on. was lucky and the sticker didnt delaminate :D
I think you are the next optimum tech, good quality videos, good review. My question is do you need to buy a seperate dongle for the 8k polling rate, or is the included dongle enough?
@@jerrorr I couldn't update because it asks for HID permissions, neither with Firefox nor Google Grome it lets me... What I could do was change the DPI and the entire mouse cfg with this LAMZU CRYSTAL WIRELESS
maya 8k and maya x is the same performance. The original maya that doesn't come with the 8k dongle has the last gen sensor and mechanical switches rather than opticals on the maya 8k and maya x
@Criptooooo mid, stopped using it. Gone back to viper v3 pro. The maya is just too floaty for me, has no downward force and I just can't aim consistently with it. Also the scroll wheel sometimes scrolls in both directions at the same time. And the battery life sucks.
@jerrorr thanks. Cause from your testing I saw 0.3ms motion delay on 2khz and 0.8ms on 8khz and couldn't wrap my head around it. And for some reasom my Maya X feels more responsive on 2khz irl.
i was so hyped for the maya X and so disappointed. the coating is basic but worst is the shape viper v3 and even gpx are so much better. as awesome as the maya is the maya X is not it. they should have changed something for the size i guess.
the qual of your new cam is sooo sick... love the colors :D almost like optimum!
Thank youu!
Yeah it looks great.

Good analysis, you explain things in more practical terms related to gaming.
i was gonna buy one then they drop the purple shadow colorway, im definitely waiting for that!
I’m rly thinking of grabbing that myself as well haha 😅
Great video brother!
How are the TJ Exclusives' Xact skates on the Viper V3 Pro btw? Or are we going to see a video of it soon? :D
Thanks! I actually posted some friction measurement stuff about them today on X, go check it out if you are interested! I rly like them

Thank you so much! Still a long way to optimum level :) it comes with it, so no need to buy a separate one!
How do you update the software? It seems horrible to me, it is on the web but no matter how many times I click on connect it does nothing.

1600dpi, 4k polling, motion sync off
@@jerrorrWhat does motion sync do and why should it be off? Im kinda confused
@ it syncs motion. Adds latency

Hey mate. One thing I couldn't understand, is motion Delay lower with 2khz than 4k and 8khz? Can you explain this to me , please. Thanks!
No. Generally the higher polling you go, the lower the latency

@ ah yes motion delay is always compared to a wored control unit like it says on my graphs, and the values are -0.X ms
