Nice work. I like the chapters for quick reference as well. I'll copy that idea. subscribed... 🇳🇿

Were you getting beeped at when you took the lane? Geeez! Are they gonna be late for the next stoplight...🚦

I'm honestly not even sure what they were honking at (it could have been me). It's amazing how anxious people can be to get to the next stoplight!

Is that an internally geared hub your shifting? If it is, how do you like it? It's one of the next investments/improvements I'd like to make on my bike.
I still think you're brave biking in the snow and ice. I'm intimidated by the ubiquitous railroad tracks in New Orleans during the rainy season.

Yes, it's a Shimano Nexus 8-speed. I definitely recommend it. I have one on both my ebike and non-ebike and they require very little maintenance. It's also nice being able to change gears while stopped.

It's not even rush hour and you're already faster than the cars on Wells street. 🤣
What does the indicator on your handlebar say? Speed in km? Or in miles? (28 Would be very fast.)

Passing traffic always feels great! Speed’s in km/h.

What is the law in Illinois concerning bicyclists observing stop signs and other traffic regulations?

Both cars and bicycles are required to stop at stop signs in Illinois, though in practice neither do. It's unfortunate but there is very little traffic enforcement in Chicago. It's a free-for-all as you can see by the car blatantly running a red light at 6:55. While I'm riding a bike I treat stop signs as a yield sign (i.e. Idaho stop) which is proven to be safer for cyclists.
