    *I mention throughout this review that the Trailsport comes Standard with a 1.5” Lift/Leveling kit, however that’s not true. Any raised ride height is solely due to the thicker tires.. My apologies*

    Great rig. Recently picked up a Modern Grey Metallic RTL. Gotta be honest feeling a little Trailsport Sonic Grey Pearl envy.

    Very well presented review of the 2024 Ridgeline. I bought a 2023 RTL-E back in mid-January - the truck is really nice. Very smooth ride, quiet and certainly quick enough when pressed. I'm getting nearly 25mpg on average (in Econ mode) so no complaints there however the fit/finish is questionable in some exterior areas. The paint is near perfect and the solid feel when going over mottled pavement (no rattles, strange noises) is impressive though. Time will tell if this truck will go the distance. BTW, the Trailsport does not have a Bose sound system (no RL's do) - only the lame 7 speaker 210 watt unit. My RTL-E has the 8 speaker unit w/510 watts which sounds better but only because of the center speaker which provides better detail.

    Enjoyed your review. I'm looking at a newer Ridgeline in maybe a few months as I really enjoyed my previous 2006 RTL (1st year model with the funky wedge C pillar shape.) That truck was great! Smooth ride, lots of interior space and easy to drive. It was still running strong when I sold it with 225k on the odometer. Only non-maintenance expense was replacing the power steering pump at around 200k miles.

    Great Ridgeline review bro! I really liked how detailed you were both exterior and interior.
    One comment: Ridgeline does have Sport mode. You have to dress D twice to activate it. Makes it noticeably quicker response 💨

      Yeah everything I've read says it's no real lift, maybe 1" because of the General Grabber tires.

      @@WTFCRLT1Hey, thanks for clarifying. I think many of us wish the Ridgeline Trailsport had a 1 or 2” lift. Then it would be the perfect midsize truck, imo. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼

    Ridgeline has 1,500+ payload. More than Tacoma. More than some full-size trucks.

    I don’t understand why people want damped tailgates. They’re slow, unnecessary, and only make the price go up.

    “Not as capable as the Tacoma or Frontier”, in terms of towing, you are correct. However, in terms of hauling, most Tacomas and Frontiers that I am seeing have 1200 or less pounds of payload and most Ridgelines are between 1480ish and 1580ish. Thus, the RL is more capable than most Tacomas/Frontiers in terms of payload. Many trucks will run out of payload before they run out of tow capacity.

    • @richardhouvener6423
      @richardhouvener6423 2 месяца назад +1

      2023 Tacoma TRD pro I looked at had 995 lbs payload. Not much. This is way more useful.

    • @deanmay338
      @deanmay338 Месяц назад

      @@richardhouvener6423 agreed. Great truck and off-roader, but with only 995 lbs of payload, the TRD Pro is not great at hauling and towing (it will run out of payload due to tongue weight from the trailer).

    Awesome review!
    I currently drive a 2011 Subaru Impreza hatchback that I got in 2011 and I plan on keeping it until March 2025. I'd hope for the same longevity from my future truck!
    I would like a comfortable daily driver to get me from point A to point B for work and errands. I live in Pennsylvania, so something that will punch through the snow (I know tires mean everything) January-March. It's just me in the truck, but I could take passengers in the front & back if needed. Comfort and reliability is key.
    As for fishing, I want to toss my 7'6 Ugly Stick one piece rod and muddy/sandy waders in the bed. I usually drive to the parking lot of these creeks and walk the rest for fishing spots. However, we do have a 9.6ft kayak that I want to tie down in the bed.
    If there's a truck out there that can do all of this, I'll be happy. What would you recommend?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  3 месяца назад +1

      The ridgeline sounds like the best truck for you. Best balance of comfort and capability if you don’t need to tow anything too crazy. The Ford Maverick is a little less comfortable, but quicker, just as capable in bad weather with the FX4 pkg, with almost the same payload capacity while costing almost $20k less. I’d try out both, but as for reliability, I’m sure the ridgeline far exceeds the Maverick 👍🏼

    CORRECTION: The D/S shift is not Drive & Sport mode, it's Drive & Sequential mode, allowing for manual shifting via the steering wheel paddles. You aren't the first video that says this so no big deal.

      Army you are wrong too on the 2024 Ridgeline Trailsport It's not lifted or leveled, there no difference in ride height on any of the Ridgeline models. The Sport, the RTL, the Trail sport and the Black Edition all a frontal slope and only a front ground clearance of 7.6 inches. And yes we're not talking a full size Chevy/ Ford lift.

      The color? Agreed. I test drove the Santa Cruz and bought a 2024 Ridgeline. I like Hyundai but towing with a turbo engine is not a good thing. Been there, done that with a Santa Fe.
