This rendition of “Casey Jones” is based on Mississippi John Hurt’s version but in a different key from where he did it. The photos were taken by Valerie Jardin in Charlie Maguire’s studio at the California Building in North East Minneapolis. It was recorded live at the Midway Saloon in Saint Paul on March 15, 2022 by Dakota Dave Hull. That’s Mikkel Bee on the washboard.
