What group you are referring to ? Is it is ABAP layer ? I am little confused. I have added multiple catalog in role and I am able to see all of them in Fiori Launchpad. Am I missing something. Is this because this video was created in 2019 ?

It depends upon which position of SAPUI5 or Fiori® you are applying for, for Junior roles many consulting companies can give you opportunities.
But mostly technical knowledge is a must, also based on project requirements there would be many different skillsets required you can get an idea from our Interview Preparation video in our channel:

The tile T4 will not show
What if I satisfied everything mentioned here but with one difference: tile is on a separate catalog, and target mapping is also on a different catalog. Both of which is still on the same role, and the tile was also added in the group. And that same group is also added in the same role. Will that still work? I don't know where else to check, I still can't see the tile. Role mentioned already in my user acct. Please help

How do we assign Catalogs and Groups to the role? Where do we do it?

This ins oly one part of the truth, you have to be aware that the business logic needs to be part of roles. Additionally by tiles are visible via search.

i was thinking abou this too haha. it took me a while to understand that actually groups have no impact on authorisation. it's only like a predefined fav list.
