Be grateful you're seeing this woman. She is leading a generation of compatriots who are not only improving on similar paths but hopefully be getting better conditions and space for each other. We need these musicians/singers to complete our lives also.

@@janlabij7302 as I understand it, she arrived in New Orleans in 2016, by which time anyone can see she was a fully developed musician capable of singing and playing on equal footing with the best. New Orleans is a great place, but it's not the only place.

Only heard of Chloe a few days ago but have been playing her music since hearing her, not only great on the clarinet but also singpnt the blues. Great listening.

We just visited the Mint a couple of weeks ago and saw these guys backing Kalindah Laveaux -- then ran into Chloe at the Spotted Cat the next day! Great performance here!
Aaron Minnick We stayed at a rental right across the street from the spotted cat. I was hoping to see them there. Saw tuba skinny at the dba though.
Aaron Minnick Yeah, considering they're not really "professional" musicians (besides drummer Mayumi Shara) and only first met Chloe in person 30 minutes before the show I thought they did great.
Yep -- they're all NPS employees, right? The guy on alto has a strong R&B / fusion sound.
A great 'tour de force' from Chloe here. Confident, commanding singing like I've not heard from her before, and some very cool clarinet, of course.
Ian Baird Absolutely right! Her singing has matured considerably, demonstrating increasing self assurance. Her playing is showing the same, great tone and range, more so than heard before, but no expert. Such an exciting musician of boundless ability, wish she would come to the UK!
She can sing the blues as well as any of 'em.
