Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews I feel dumb but what is the difference between eu de cologne and eu de perfume? As for pedi grains I bought lush cosmetics Nero which has neroli but you can smell that small amount of petit grain afterwards
Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews Have you heard of Ensar Oud, I recently bought a sample of their fragrance Tigerlust. Would be nice to see what you think of their stuff
OMG, I love fragrances like these. Try Commodity Nectar. I have a Grapefruit tree, and when it begins to blossom, the smell emanating from the blossoms is bitter, with a creamy/powdery white tinge to it. I said, if someone can bottle this scent, I'd buy it. Sure enough, I stumbled onto Commodity Nectar, and almost to a t, exactly what I was looking for.
I love Lalique White and Dunhill Icon, I just wish a more intenese version of both! Love citruses, I knew what Pettitgrain is in your videos, so thank you for this and every other piece of knoledge that you bring to us!
Love petigrain and I love mugler cologne, out my entire collection its my most used scent other than Virgin Island water. I go through 100ml bottle every year just about of mugler cologne.
Love petitgrain. Reminds me of Iran where our Armenian friends would make and bring over homemade Arak. We'd squeeze juice from bitter orange (naarenge) into the arak...had that wonderful bitter citrus petitgrain smell and flavor.
Speaking of Adolfo Dominguez , I just got 3 in a couple wks ago and the one I think you'd like would be Agua Fresca de Azahar. It's orange blossom, Neroli, orange, cedar & musk. It's a citrusy clean musk with a touch of sweet cedar. Pretty simple and nice
I have four fragrances with petitgrain from my collection sprayed out on test blotter: MMM Replica Under the Lemon Trees, Penhaligon The Impudent Cousin Matthew, Bvlgari Pour Homme Extreme, and Bond No. 9 Eau de New York. Im trying to identify my holy grail petitgrain frag. What came to my mind first was Bvlgari Pour Homme Extreme. It smells what I imagine petitgrain to smell like with its blended leaves and twigs. I have a 1ml sample of petitgrain essential oil on the way so Ill get to smell it in isolation.
Great video! I love 4711 cologne spray ( very lemony/bergamot top notes which I love) and I noticed the base notes were Neroli and Petitgrain. Now I have learned more about it! Many thanks!
Great video, Sebastian! Thank you! My favs with petitgrain is Armani Mania For Men and Versace Versus Uomo 1991 (but there are a lot of other things going on) 🌿🍊
One of my favourite notes! I was JUST thinking of something like this yesterday. Ohhh the joys of being psychic! 🤣 Gonna have to check out that Berdoues though. I don't think I'll ever get enough of petitgrain in my life.
@@ThePerfumeGuy Before I even knew what it was, I used to call it the "gentleman's orange." I guess if you're a bitter gentleman like me. 🤣 Maybe not so gentle after all eh?
I really enjoyed this video, never new what pettigrain was. I always thought it was a alcohol grain lol!! I never thought to look it up. Loved the video😍😍
Here for aksana because her RUclips is stuck , and trying to get some brownie points 😂 The orengea by Profumum roma may be my favourite use of the note but it's great to learn more about other alternatives of its use ☺
Great summary , again. Thank you. But I was expecting deffinitely see the ”John Varvatos Artisan Pure” in this list. It is one of the modt petitt grain forward citrus fragrance to my nose:)
Such a great recording! I love your note based tutorials! If you could clarify the concentration on Agua Fresca that you have, I would appreciate it. I found both the cologne & the edt & looking to add. Also loved your description of Selva do Brazil! Thanks!!!
Hi, I'm looking for a perfume with Pentigrain, rasberry, bergamont, french labdanum as middle notes, benzoin, incense, oak moss, sandlewood, virginia cedar, musk, patchouli base notes... any ideas please?
I Looooooooove petitgrain! I wasnt familiar until I actually got a petitgrain candle & went crazy over it! 🍊 are any of these more feminine leaning? I like unisex but some colognes are just too masculine for my taste / for me personally to wear
I would suggest anyone of these that go more floral with Neroli or Orange Blossom. And of course I would stay away from Dunhill Icon, Adolfo Dominguez and maybe even Lalique White the rest should be more unisex but def pick out ones that feature the beautiful citrus flowers of Neroli or Orange Blossom! :)
Hey! I am french and if petit grain is from France; it doesnt means small green! In fact green would be translated as "vert" ! Grain = "grain" in english; or some kind of seeds! So i believe petit grain = small seed and not small green !
Hi, does anyone ever compared hermes concentre dorange vert to profumum roma orangea? i have the hermes cdov, and would like to try orangea. But the only way to get it is to blindbuy FB, and it will be redundant if it smells too similar :(
Why doesn't anybody ever mention the "smoky oud" accord according to Fragrantica. I pick it up right away, in fact that's why I recently took it out of my weekly rotation because summer is in full swing here in Houston and I think it would be too much in 100 degree plus weather. Superb scent though and I LOVE the bottle.
A fragrance resembling Mugler Cologne but denser, very curious about that Selva do Brazil! I do have Terre de Hermes EDT and Parfum, also Dunhill Icon, and Lalique White. For me neither one really reminds me of the other though, but I like them all :) Just checked in detail, and although neither one has ever reminded me of the other, at least Lalique White and Dunhill Icon do have some closeness between them when smelled side by side, had not noticed this before.
Update to my comment: today wearing Dunhill Icon, and drydown does hint at Terre de Hermes. To me more to the Parfum than to the EDT, but those are similar to begin with.
Totally unrelated to petit grain. However, a great summer scent that is under the radar by MFK is Absolue Pour Le Matin. In my opinion, better than petit matin for the summer or any season.
Does the Zara somewhere nowhere have this note? I would say so, but then I 'm so bad with notes... Another note you could do a list about is juniper, If it smells how I think it does 😅, it's kind of gin-like isn't it?
You know that fragrance is a chameleon. It smells like it's your traditional eau de cologne but it's lemons, magnolia and musk. So it could feature Petitgrain but it's not credited! :)
You should listen more carefully! LOL! I know it doesn't duh! It's what they called it doesn't mean green. I said grain I never said green. And it was more of a figure of speech rather than what it meant. I do my research enough I don't need to be told what to do!

You're Awesome Blossom! You are the only reviewer that covers ingredients in such great detail. Thank you! Peace

Love this channel.. look forward to all your new posts.
It smells like those green colored oranges that are actually sweet when you eat them.
The scent os sweet, fresh, herbaceous, floral, and "bitter".

Agreed.
Thanks for the perfume lesson, how about a vid about a C note. Cardamom, Castoreum, Civet or Cloves. Whichever one you haven’t covered yet.
Are you reading my mind about the C note???
I love Cravache from the house of Robert Piguet, a chypre with petitgrain as its dominant top note.
Such a great recording! I love your note based tutorials! If you could clarify the concentration on Agua Fresca that you have, I would appreciate it. I found both the cologne & the edt & looking to add. Also loved your description of Selva do Brazil! Thanks!!!

I’m intrigued by HEELEY ORANGES AND LEMONS. Can it be acquired thru discounters. Been looking and no luck.

Petitgrain (Fr.: “little grain”) gains its name from the fact that it used to be extracted from the unripe small green fruits of the plant.
You should listen carefully I never said small green I said small grain!

What is neroli absolute vs neroli?

Where’s Dana in this? I feel like she could add her unique insight to this topic.
I've had a couple different petitgrain oils. Just got one and it is strong and balsamic smelling. Very bitter.

Hi, can you please review "100 bon neroli & petit grain printanier" Perfume ?
Oh I smelled that one and some of the others from the brand in Paris back in 2019!
technical issues! still on citruses? :(
I'll continue with some but by the end of July I must put a stop on it you know? ;)
@@ThePerfumeGuy smelled one i like today, neroli by carolina herrera. very light hint of orange
If petigrain is the conversation you got to include Bno9 Eau De New York... Petigrain bomb...
There are certain brands I don't speak about and that's one of them!
Hello 😎✌
You should check the information before you make a video. Grain doesn’t mean “green”.
