It’s so sad... those poor people really are afraid of people different than them. We’re all not so different, it’s okay no one is going to hurt you. We have more in common than what separates us. You guys don’t have to be afraid, it’s okay, everything is going to be okay. We are all human with goals and dreams. We can achieve our desires together as one people, we don’t have to be afraid of one another. We can live peacefully with one another.
They very well know we can't hurt them. But they still want us dead, or changed, which makes them different from all other people who protest.
What's also sad is they separate everyone by saying "you and me". Why can't it be "us"
@@someperson5628 people are fundamentally separated by their way of thinking (or mindset) than by anything else. All other superficialities can eventually be reconciled.
This issue is something of fundamental separation because it fundamental to one's mindset and to nothing superficial.
I stated this in a separate comment, and call me a pessimist if you want to, but I have no hope of religious people and LGBTQ people ever truly getting along. The moral division between both groups is just too wide. And neither will back down.

I've never understood the "it's a choice" argument. I didn't CHOOSE to be heterosexual so why would it be a choice for someone to be homosexual?
This I find particularly hard to deal with because I had to attend counselling for not being at peace with my sexuality, and I said then that if it was a choice I would've chosen differently
They use the it's a choice argument to validate thier hatred, and at the same time, devalidate the LGBTQ+'s existence. It's like saying they chose this way of life so they deserve this.

@@Glitchie.Glitch Religion is a beautiful thing, but it should be about love. A God that destroys those who do not follow him is not a God worth following. He is either not merciful, as he hurts those who disobey him, or he is not powerful, as he lets sin run rampant and cannot stop it. I don't know how old you are, and it honestly doesn't matter, but I hope you learn eventually that spreading hate in the name of God is the exact opposite of what any God or religion stands for. Perhaps people would be truly happier in life, and the afterlife, if they didn't live in constant terror of what lies beyond. It is my belief that people should live happy enough on Earth to not care what comes after. Death is life's greatest adventure and only true mystery, and it should exciting to find out.
