Dude, you really get so emotional and feel for what happens, a great reaction from you once again.
Dillion the scene with the prostitute is absolutely brilliant. An epic clash of two master mind con people. She thinks she's conning him but he's conning her. Because no matter what price she charges the money is from fraudulent checks. Then what tops it off. He actually gets her to pay him $400 cash money to sleep with her. Amazing . He gives her such a lesson on how to swindle at the negotiating table. Breathtaking.
Oh Dillion. You have stumbled onto one of my favorite movies. Leonardo is so amazing.

@@PanGuy_ Thank you for the request. No one Reacts to this movie. Very few people know of it's brilliance. and the music is to die for. I have easily seen this movie about 15 times or so. Any it never gets old.
@@PanGuy_ I do have to say that Dillion is focused on the effects of the divorce on Frank. And though that was the initial catalyst for his actions. Eventually he liked the chase of being something else. Being able to become a doctor at a whim. Become a lawyer at a whim. He didn't have to do all of that. Those actions to me were beyond the divorce.

Being able to become a doctor at a whim. Become a lawyer at a whim. He didn't have to do all of that. Those actions to me were beyond the divorce.

He was trying to get back all the money they lost which wasn't the 1.3 mil he had at the beginning, it was a massive home, cars etc. He ended up falling in love

i broke into tears when carl was the one to go see him when he was in isolation, during christmas.... this movie ultimately tells about working harder, and i love it
My brother and I really lucked out in the divorce department. We were teens, I think, and mom and dad were very civil towards each other, no lawyers involved, nobody was having affairs. Lived with mom, visited dad on weekends.
Mom was always the more stable, dependable parent. Even today I still depend on my mom. Dad would spend more than he should have, lost his job just before retirement would have started, fought with homelessness for a bit... It's been pretty wild.
But I still love them both, and I think me and my brother both came out pretty functional.
Ye, me and my sister were fairly lucky. My dad had an affair with my mums best friend when i was 6 months old and my sister was 6. They obviously divorced but my mum held no bad feelings towards my dad and we would go see him every other weekend. Because of that me and my sister have grown up with a strong and healthy relationship with both parents although me and my sister and even my dad acknowledge my mum raised us not my dad. My mum said she didn’t want what my dad did to cause us to grow up without a father figure so we were lucky she felt that way

My father actually met Abagnale when he was in the air force. He said he came off to him as an arrogant asshole. I'm not really surprised. When have a movie made about your life in which you are played by Leonardo di Caprio, you're bound to get an ego.

It wasn’t just the divorce, it was financial devastation. Watching his family have a car and home and business and a son in private school to suddenly struggling to get by - switching to public school and downgrading…

Not true. That kind of thinking leads to tyranny. Even an innocent man/woman should tell law enforcement to pound sand if police want to search without warrent. We have rights to protect the innocent as well as the guilty.

I think this may have been the end of Leonardo DiCaprio’s heartthrob era (sure people can still think of him as one) but after this he did more immediately the Aviator, Blood Diamond, the Departed, Revolutionary Road and so on…
- He had his child acting era when he was on Growing Pains
- Then he had his Heartthrob era from 1993 (‘This boy’s life’ and ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’) to 2002 with the release of this film
- Then he did all his more gritty roles after that
He is a heartthrob, u obv don't know what that means kid
He moved on to do bigger movies but he's still a heartthrob period
Crazy how this dude learning upon his parents dovorce just went off the deep end and left and had this whole run round and never saw his father again
Honest Leo is such a great actor, every movie he's in is atleast 7 or higher
Except Titanic which he I believe has even admitted he feels embarrassed about.
Divorce can save a kid from abuse and mental anguish. Also, Frank Sr. was not a good father, not teaching his son right from wrong, not nurturing his son’s genius. I think if his parents had stayed together Frank Jr. would not have been able to thrive or take on adult responsibilities.
I thought it sounded like he was being too hard on the mom in his reaction. In my opinion though, she was going through much more than just downsizing. Frank Sr. seemed to do whatever he saw as necessary to get what he wanted/needed, even if that meant lying, bribing, acting, ect. I'm sure that Mom knew this about her husband. It has to be a hard thing to watch your partner do and still remain committed.
The game show female panelist with the brunette hair was the real life panelist in the movie. Kitty carlisle 1910 - 2007 and the show was to tell the truth 1957-1968, 1969-1978, 1980-1981, 1990-1991, 2000 and she appeared on every version of the show.

The only thing that tops this film is the real story told by Frank Abagnale himself. An old Google Talk of his is on RUclips.

The book he wrote is even crazier than the movie. There are things in there that they didn't put in the movie because they were too crazy to be believable. 😮
If you like this movie, you'd love "White Collar". It's a TV show that works on the premise of this movie- young conman that was chased by an FBI agent gets taken out of jail into house arrest to help the agent with other crimes. Very clever show.

Frank started out doing it to get his dad's money back, but then I think he did it because it was a thrill to outsmart the system. It was his way of thrill seeking. And I think Henretty respected him and also enjoyed the game of cat and mouse. Every time he got outsmarted, I think he was impressed rather than angry

You should be an actor lmao that was... something. Also, sometimes it's BETTER for the kids that their parents divorce. It's better to divorce than create a hell at home by staying together just for the kids. Don't try to paint divorce as this big bad thing...
