Falafel is Egyptian food since the pharoas and it had been always looked green !!
It's not Israelian food or a syrian food or lybnanese food !!
The falafel is fine, but you really should be having the kofte kebab sandwich, completely drenched with their hot sauce. Thier other dishes are underrated.

Is there a THE END to NYC food exploration? What a great city..
Yes to Syrian immigrant families adding so much culture to their hometowns!
True NYC shop food, we would go there all the time, late night or day or whatever. Totally great and healthy. Also shout out cause they would give you a meal even if you didn't have enough $ . Good karma. I live in CA now they should start a place out here
thanks for outlining the dude, wouldn't have seen him otherwise
Wow ! I used to go there when I lived in NY !!! They do have a great falafel. It's literally a hole in the wall on McDougal St.
In the late 80s I'd park my van right across the street and pop in for a delicious falafel. It's great to see that McDougal St. still looks the same. That's the heart of the Village .
There is a maumon’s in Hoboken in New Jersey as well
