- I went into the fish room to feed the fish and saw my Spider Kelberi Peacock Bass with one of my Gymnogeophagus balzanii in it's mouth in my 125 gallon freshwater aquarium.

God thing you caught it and saved them great job , probably would’ve found both dead
I had a wild Oscar never thought she was big enough to eat a very small leopard cactus pleco I had just picked up, plus I always thought that fish avoided plecos because of choking hazards. But she ate it and it got stuck in her mouth but she managed to spit it out before I could intervene it must have happened in the middle of the night because unfortunately my pleco didn't make it. It was actually starting to digest in its mouth or something it was pretty mutilated.
Please name the kelberi Peter
Not a bad name!
May ask what’s wrong with that cichlid? Is it genetics?
I’ve had a similar experience with a peacock bass and a paratilapia about 6 months ago… it’s scary but it’s good when both of them live
It's a BASS....it's a Predator. Lol
How you manage to make your bass eat pellets? And what kind and brand
Offering pellets here and their during feeding time usually does the trick after the fish is settled in. They’ll usually eat Hikari Carnivore or Massivore pellets pretty quickly
Sadly Peacock bass have a very strong predatory instinct
