This guy should play the terminator.
He's practically a machine...
definitely!!!
Yes he is awsome
😂😂😂
Time and practice! That's all it takes! You can be a machine too
He kinda looks like JCVD actually
Just by watching this, I know for a fact my hands would immediately start cramping within 5 seconds lmao
😂😂😂
Tried it like 30bpm lower at like 90 and my forearm was dying
Kkkkkkkk👏👏👏👏🥁
I broke my right forearm and pinky, and my right hand just goes "man like, that's just like, what you want, man", I don't even get to the cramp stade lol
Honestly it’s not that hard
I like how he just naturally uses the fingers technique. It is great technique to develop as a energy saver now I’m not that good with my left hand.
He's using wrist technique, fingers are involved but it's mostly in the wrist.
This is one of the best advice for improve the weakest hand, thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful! Thomas is the best! 💪
So True. Tried it and it worked
Thomas one of the best drummers in the world!!!🤘🏻💪🏻
Easily
Yep
You mean THE best.
He is the best drummer in the world!!! 😁🥁
He is the best right now.
I’ve been doing this as I have a tumor in my left arm that I had cancer treatment for and it’s still there.
I have 0 coordination in that arm. I drive all day for work doing my sales calls, I literally just drum with my left hand while driving and using my drum stick. I get looks but I don’t care. I’m building up that stamina and coordination. Will def be doing this! Ty
You're a fucking beast. Keep going. Good luck with your treatment. You'll be tapping 250 BPM with bare hands before long.
@@Eleutherarch WOW! How amazing are you to read my comment and take the time to respond to me! You’re a saint! Rock on man thank you 🤘🏻
Hey I hope you get better and can get the treatment you need! I also love to carry a stick or two in the car and practice my rebound with my weak hand. I had a couple broken bones in it that did not set 100% right and it just can't grasp the stick and do rebounds like my other hand can.
but anyway, rock on! good luck!
My Absolute favorite All Time Drummer. Mr. Thomas Lang is in The House.
How to improve your weak hands: be a monstrous beast of a man behind the kit
Dude has been next level for years. He deserves none of the pushback he gets. He plays the way he plays because he can. People who say he has no feel, really know nothing about drumming. I'd like to see a tally of the music and musicians he's played with. It's gotta be up in the thousands.
That is a great example. I showed my son something similar and it really helped him. He's 13 and is truly amazing at what he does. That's a purdy kit you have there.
This generations famous and fabulous drummer as well as teacher♥️🤨
Great tip sir.
Thank you
You are the best ❤
Thank you man
Awsome!!!
I totally thought I was looking at Mr. fantastic from the fantastic four! 😮
one of the best drummers on the planet!
Simple, yet profound advice. Now apply that to life.
Easy and awesome!! Thank you for sharing
Outstanding
Great tips
Love the shrug and "that's all" 😲😊
So good he is
Yes Sir:)
Pele boa baquete excelente, o treino se torna qualidade.....
Those sticks are massive! 😮
Ty ✅✌️
Thank you so much sir🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I was literally trying to figure out what to do about my left hand being weaker yesterday😱 thanks fam 🤙🏻
If I was a young drummer starting out again, I would literally buy a second set of drums and set it up
left handed.
I would spend a year playing everything left handed, until it felt normal.
Got them giant ass nylon tip marching drum sticks
Thomas Lang is an amazing drummer, and an awesome teacher and always has great vids. Thanks for another great video
Fore sure, but i showed one of his students that i am on the same level, without much practise.
@@stefanschmid1357 how do you get that nice bounce on the fingers? On german grip?
@@raion9692 which video? :)
@@stefanschmid1357 am on the video that you answered a comment??
Wow... teacher.verygood.สุดยอดครับ.อาจารย์..
Great!! I like
This guy is a beast. Love it. Bravo.
The man
The Austrian Kalashnikov 🤘💥🤘
I always thought it's okay to have one hand be stronger than the other; they serve different tasks.
Needed this
This Man is A Machine⚡️🥁
Is the beast of drums
Wow, I've never thought of doing this. Amazing.
Awesome
If your left hand is weak, use it more. Terrific advice.
i'm sorry form my ignorance, but could someone tell me what drum sticks he's using?🙏
Very good, thanks
Our pleasure!
The best 👌❤️🤟
Never seen or heard of him but I think I should
It works a lot!!! To the brain it's perfect! And then i play some differents songs and feel more inteligent left hand...
ONE OF THE BEST DRUMMERS..EVER
this is good advice 👏
Beautiful!!!!!
Thanks
Thomas...!💪👍👍👍
Absolutely!
I would say one of the 10 best drummers in the world
Every time I try to improve using RUclips I get some good advice mixed with a new realization how much I actually suck.
Just by watching his technique, it looks like he's pulling up from the fingers almost like a lever rather than just using his wrist to push the stick down to get a rebound. Makes more sense from an overall efficient mechanism standpoint.
Is he playing with broom handles, those sticks look huge.
Clubs.
They are in fact tree trunks that Thomas ripped from the ground 10 minutes before filming 😂
Marching tenor sticks
People gotta know that you make it look way easier than it really is!
I love Thomas lang
I like him.
I cry
This makes so much sense. After all, it's Thomas Lang lesson.
He’s the Jean Claude Van Damme of drumming.
Jean Claude Van Damme is crushing it
Thank you Thomas! Got some nerve damage in left from spinal surg..but yes 👍 🥁
The man!!
king of double stroke
This guy is such a monster!
Could you take this excerise and apply it to the feet for faster more controlled double bass
Almost went with dream theatre 🤘🏻
The master shredder. 🙌
Nice advice! I'll use it on the double bass, my left foot is just like a stick I move op and down. 😅
😂 I know what you mean
He just noted source of EVERY back pain and how to fix it. Only that the core muscles are stronger on one side and weak needs more exercise. If you are right handed left core is stronger.
this was very informative you gave me the science to strengthen my left hand thank you the teddy bear
Thomas should really be incorporating more blast beats in his performances with a technique as solid as that.
I totally agree. But seeing tom do a blast beat would probably melt my brain because he’d find a way to put polyrhythms into it or something.
Agree
Powerhouse just a total powerhouse he is the man
My left hand is almost equal with my right hand because I spent a year hammering concrete tack strip in left handed because I messed my elbow up playing bass. It has helped a lot
Magnifico.
Love it
Damn, thas pretty cool.
Good idea 👍🏾
“Reemba when I said this would be easy? I lied.” - TL
Any advice for someone who had a thumb injury and had broken fingers on the same hand? I no longer can play like I used to.
Oh THANX so powerful
Now i have become midi, timing of an atomic clock
Heeer the machine itself
MONSTER!!!!
Yeah....he's pretty good. Like REALLY GOOD!!
Ya. It’s so simple. Lol. He’s playing faster with his left then I can with both of mine😊
I was taught to grip the stick at the fulcrum, but the more I see really fast drummers play, the more I realize they grip at the bottom.
If I could move my hand that fast I wouldn’t have gotten married!
Not sure if i understand. 😂
💪💪💪💪🥁
Which sticks are these? Does he practice with these sticks every day?
nice. thx
just in time
How do you get thst nice spring on the fingers on normal german grip
His left hand is faster than most pro drummers lol
My trouble is my left just loses grip when I play live, it. Doesn't behave anything like it does in practice
The master monster.
