Very groovy, musical solo, that at points turns into powerful madness. Really like it. Mario is definitely one of the most singular metal drummer out there. I know Mario for being a very powerful drummer (for me he is kind of the John Bonham of technical metal drummers), but here we can also definitely here a lot of finesse and mastery. I loved the comparison with Baard Kolstad, when it comes to completely being immersed in what they are playing :)

I'm pretty sure Mario does indeed play a limited edition bubinga Starclassic kit along with a bell brass snare. His drum sounds are always incredible and so is his playing.
I was Mario’s drumtech for about a year, plays solid every night and if you can believe he likes his toms “tuned” finger tight as in barely any tension on the hoops.. sounded like crap without a mic but once they went into the PA they always sounded huge.. Everyone in the band are stand up good guys and would do anything for anyone!

That small symbol reminds me of my dad who used skill saw blades as part of his drum set. They sound a bit like that but more flat, and they looked gnarly. My dad was also a carpenter lol.
