If you hold down ctrl-shift and click on something (not drag) you will go to the layer where that is. This is very helpful for people that use a lot of layers and don't name them

I didn't notice that by draging it it also went to that layer. And yah it's really good ^.^

Ctrl + N = New canvas
Ctrl + D = Unselect the selected things
ctrl+alt+drag is resizing your brush if you move your mouse right and left, and you can also tweak the hardness, if you move it up and down

Hold down shift and it locks the transformation shape. Yes. I needed this.
You can press ctrl+alt and then drag, which lets you set the exact brush size.
Here's a little trick i often use: When you are transforming something hold down Alt and it only rotates, Control and it only activates the Free Deform and of course as you said Shift for locking the Scale. Hope this helps a little c:

Uh well...in Paint tool SAI you can add new Things with the center click of the mouse (?)idk if you understand me ;w;

Damn I've been using Sai for years and didn't realize or just forgot about there being any kind of 'curve' tools lmao... I was just looking for how to move a selection by a few pixels, which you showed in the end of the video, but now I learned a lot more so thanks!!

don't know it has been said. But for those who want a layer very precisely, you can hold ctrl and the left, right, up or down key. It will move your drawing inch by inchi. It is VERY useful if you want to use paint tool sai to do animation for example.

A very useful shortcut for resizing your brush/current tool: CTRL+ALT then press and hold the pen/mouse and move to left or right to resize. I discovered it by accident replicating the shortcuts in your video
And while tour selecting you can hold alt to erase the selection
How do you create custom tools and save them so that e anytime you open SAI what you customised is still there?
Right click > duplicate! or something similar to that.

However I need help I'm going crazy with that problem : I can't select with crtl + left click it's just not working, when I'm doing ctrl + click on the skin tone for example instead of selecting it, it's just sending me to the layer where the skin tone is but it doesn't select anything... plz help 😭

Hey! What does she meant by "delete" ? Cause she says "click then delete"
@@byelol9888 pressing delete button will rotate your canvas to the left and end button will rotate your canvas to the right

I've used PTS for maybe... 3 years now? And I didn't know like 95% of all the shortcut you mentioned , I feel so dumb xD
Anybody know how to get out of fullscreen in paint tool sai? Because now I'm stuck and it doesn't show the top where you can get a new canvas or get out of fullscreen. And my pen pressure isnt working on sai but it works on krita. (I'll fix the pressure myself)

SAI2 has brush toggle functionality where you can assign multiple brushes between one key and flip through them like a list. :3
Why can't we change the brush shortcut. I know that other programs have the option to customize these tools like Photoshop or paint tool sai

go to your laptop settings and find display you can change the display how everything looks, it should be default but if you change it, then you can see sai bigger

how do i copy the same eye so i get the same eyes? like if i drew one eye i know how to select it but i want two of the same eyes so my characters eyes have two perfect eyes.

can someone help me? I use a tablet to draw with a pen the pen has two buttons next to the grip so when i click it i set it to Ctrl Z so it will undo for some reason when ever i do it it sets my color back to white all the time its super annoying if anyone could help me it would make my day :)

use the square thingy in your tools next to laso, and then once you selected it, go to your square thingy’s settings and press rotate, and then you can rotate your selected lines
