New for 2023. Weird VW motorhome - campervan cross!

- This unusual VW motorhome has the traditional VW campervan base - the VW Bulli. The motorhome part has been stuck on the end and is being produced by both Knaus and its 'budget' brand Weinsberg. The Weinsberg vehicle has some interesting innovations for those interested in a small footprint but as a Weinsberg model, I fear it will fall to pieces rather quickly. Apart from that, top marks as far as thinking outside of the box is concerned.

These are way nicer than the usual VW campervan.
It would be a bit unfair to call it a VW campervan Tim, but it does at least have better features than the aforementioned VW.
Oh no! Alan's "Palethorpes" on a touch screen!!! Stand by for heavy "display model" discount!!!
Most negative review of yours I have watched. They look very good and innovative. Why are they reputed to be put together so badly?
I am not knocking innovation, only pointing out what is likely to happen based on past experience with the company. I am all for space saving and small vans, and above all, a shower and toilet in a vehicle. However I fear that based on experience it will not perform in real life.
Nu Venture of Wigan Every time. Super quality compact GO ANYWHERE motorhomes, NOT wendy houses.
Let's face it, most of these campervans are the sum of their components. And despite this one being a bit unusual for the EU market but traditionally fitted it seems a quite reliable unit. It has ample living space in a tiny footprint and an always ready drop down bunk bed. The only part I don't like is the shower basin in thermoformed plastics notorious for cracking after a few years of service/cycles hot/cold as you put dynamic load on it.
Weinsberg is despite everything a competent brand with production and engineering in house in the past afflicted with some assembly errors probably in less than optimal productions lines (some say foreign only), but it generally uses good components, offers good integration and the finishes are usually above average as is the case with this van: internal shelving on cupboards, solid bathroom lock, two dedicated taps with height adjusting shower head, drawers with soft close one fitted with flatware holder, the main CP has a comprehensive set of levels... tiny touches but it sure is good finishing.
3:37 ".. it might fall to bits in my hand!!"
OMG! Hilarious!!!
Nice to see new designs,
Looks like a good design to me if a little awkward looking on the exterior
Bring a microwave and you can live in there. Perfect layout.
You would need shore power for a microwave Bob.
3 drainage holes? I'm buying this now!
Beautiful campervan.
I'd love one but couldn't afford it! We use those shower trays at work manufacturing lorries and I've always hated that plastic design but they do last if fitted correctly and put on a good base.
I like these small MH, hotomobil has 1 model like that to
I prefer the 2022 model with bathroom in the back and the L shaped lounge with bed above cab. Have they come to the US?
I have got that one coming up Jennifer. They won't be available in the US!
I was quite liking that until I saw the part where it falls apart!
I think it was just a punter who had no idea what they were doing.
Prefer my Caddy , when not sleeping we can put back to normal vehicle.
Strewth - give me an old VW Autosleeper Clubman......more space and a lot easier bed to use - I'll put up with the floral velour and use the money saved for many thousands of miles worth of diesel!
That's absolutely gorgeous. Now I just need a driver's licence. Damn, I so regret not getting mine at 18.
Perhaps it is not yet too late?
Very good
👍 I think these are kool, not odd at all! My only concerns are plenty of solar and a Volta lithium battery system!
Very few RV builders supply that as standard although nearly all will do as an option.
5:54 Proof that it was already broken BEFORE Alan arrived! 🤣🤣
Looks promising. I love the practicality of small van, although it looks like they ripped off the Wingamm Oasis 540 format for similar price but lower quality.
I saw your comment earlier and thought it is not that similar but the more I think of it, the more I think you have a point.
Yes, and the Wingamm Oasis is what... 120K? I think I've got a new title for Alan: Cheap VW campervan! haha... and with all due respect (which I don't owe to VW) it is a swifter car than the Ducato.
The large plug hole in the shower collects the sink waste Alan, come on man!
for someone with a review channnel he dont seem too clued up . the beds weren't broke iether . I bet that company loves him
@@paulwest1257 When did I say they were broken?
@@VanlifewithAlan in your review
Looks pretty good to me. And importantly it's a Dub 🤙🏼
Similar to the Nu Venture campers made in Wigan.
The Nu Venture are pretty unusual as well Ashley!
I like it
I liked my old vanagon 1982 that cost 13,500.usd new in 82 .
That was quite a lot then!
Never seen anything better, and I’ve seen a traveling, 4 season.
😍❤️💕👌🏼Beautifull 🥰👌🏼
Interesting concept but like anything this size and up it's not really a daily driver so most of the time it would be parked up while you use your other car for the supermarket etc. Might be nice to rent one for a couple of weeks.
Rental makes most sense for most people as far as RVs are concerned. That way, someone also gets to worry about maintaining them!
SUPER👏👏👍👍👍🍀
Thank you! Cheers!
I like it just a bit pricey 👍👍
Get these down to $10,000 then we can talk.
If you don't mind waiting twenty years.
sorry! but dont know why you call it cheap ?
Cheap is an adjective, therefore it is only used in a comparitive sense. Cheaper might work better in this sense.
Nu Venture
👍👍👍
nice car-but i think the floor outside of the car is not gfk- it is maybe only wood and color--i hobe is is not true
Was that your version of a laugh?
May be weird to you but perfect for somebody! self importance is not a good thing to have!
Who is self important?
@@VanlifewithAlan you, in this video...first vlog ive seen of yours...won’t be bothering with another one
@@arthurkettle3010 Make sure you don't come back!
I didn't care for the tone of narrative in this review peppered with hints of sarcasm.
@@carolinegeorge4378 If you don't want to listen to people who have some experience, then stick to watching advertisements.
It sounded like a sheep.
Negative biosed from the start.
The bios on my computer is not negative, it is standard.
REAL PRICE. MAXIMUM 35.000. EUROS
Perhaps you could let us know where one can buy the base vehicle and materials for that price?
@@VanlifewithAlan BASE VEHICLE IN THE DACTORU IS BETVEEN 8-10 OOO EUROS. 20-25000 IS FOR CONVERSATION.... ALL OTHER MONEY IS FOR DEALERS ...
@@davidamss OK then. Give me the address of the company which is selling the base unit for EUR10k.
Terrible review, I'm left none the wiser at the end of this very poor video.
Shocking commentary.
This is entirely my fault for not posting that videos are made for people with a certain intellectual capacity including that of turning on the sound. If you did that, then you might become a bit wiser.
I listened just fine and i agree with @christopher Tottle completely .
You are the most uninspiring commentator when you blatantly dont like something ",Wendy houses for little girls" etc etc if you knew your market you would realise that micro campers are the way forward for everyone ,space saving designs like the wingham 540 ,drop down beds, larger, shower rooms etc most people want so it might not be for you ,but try and be a bit more professional & informative
It is a bit difficult to be informative when there are those that do not want to be informed. If you had bothered listening to this, or anything else I have done, then you would know that I actively promote smaller vehicles. Either you fail to understand to my accent or you don't want to understand full stop.
Not coming to US. Click bait
Where does it say that this is coming to the US? Or is your comment just click bait?
Yep... crap.....
Nice looking vans...shockingly bad tour....
don't get the snarky, petulant, wannabee edgy commentary?.......first and last time i'll view one of your vids....tons of informative/funny /better reviewers out there
Make sure you watch them then. You don't like facts from people who know what they are talking about? There are plenty of advertisements for you to watch instead.
Wow. What a disturbingly negative reviewer. I don't care who you think you are but you obviously are prejudicial and rude. Thumbs down to you.
If you cannot take the truth from someone with experience who knows what he is talking about, then I suggest you stick to watching advertisements. Or perhaps you expect all reviews to be super positive? As for being prejudicial and rude as you claim, you will notice that there are thousands of RVs on this channel, and in most cases, the review is positive. In short, the one who is prejudicial and rude is you.
@@VanlifewithAlan This has nothing to do with truth. It's the arrogance and negativity that you spewed out. I read a lot of the comments afterwards and it seems l am not the only one that picked it up.
@@britz3864 The arrogance here is coming from you. I back my statements up. As I wrote earlier, stick to watching adverts. Don't come back to this channel!
U r rambling…if u cannot do a thorough review, u might as well stop. U r wasting d time of your audience. I guess you just do a lot of tours u feel d job is monotonous.
In that case I suggest you don't bother watching any more of my videos.
