It boggles my mind that there are some areas I have been to over and over again (like Margaret River) and yet there are places like this that I have never seen.
Another great showcase for SW Western Australia solo! I used to be a bit self-conscious about having a pub meal on my Pat Malone but as I got older I gave up giving a stuff about what other people might think
I'm with you. We have recovery gear; "just in case". I don't plan for heart stopping 4wd moments, just heart stopping scenery. I don't want to drag my car there by winch or be digging the car out. I get nervous watching videos - rock climbing, mud holes... - nerves of steel required. Our 4wd drive is also our family car, we'd be stuck if it was damaged, bush pinstripes aside.
G'day Matt, thanks for the great video & also the little motivator to get out there and do whatever you're comfortable with - I'm just getting into 4wd/camping world and it's lovely to hear what you said, honestly 🙏 I cannot wait to explore the south west
I’m stoked to hear that mate. I often wish there were someone that said similar things when I was getting into it too. Can be a bit of a stigma where, if you’re not seen going balls out, you’re soft or so on. It’s simply not true and everyone should do exactly what it is that they’re comfortable with. Hope you’re enjoying the tracks mate.
I really enjoy your no-fuss approach and am similarly non-epic about my adventures yet still manage to go everywhere I want to. A mate and I headed off last week, getting out there before the mob arrived for Easter and the school holidays. The rigs coming down SW Hwy through Manji on our return were in the the 1,000's (seriously). Vans, campers, RTT's, tourists in hire cars, trailers - every configuration imaginable. By the time we left, Broke Inlet was pretty done for sites. We'd had the best of it. Timing is everything these days. And tyre pressure.
Nice Matt love it down there, long time watcher of your vids since you just bought the GU a few years ago, I was the one today who said Gday, wearing the Monaro street machine shirt. Keep up your unique style of videos my wife and I always watch em, awesome mate!
Loving your work mate, the camera never does the south west justice i reckon, maybe a good thing to keep the hordes of people away and the place beautiful. Waking up to the birds in the morning would have been heaven ❤
My style of 4wheel driving as well Matt. I have seen 4wheel drives on the Holland Track lined up waiting for their turn to try the biggest bog holes with spectators lining the sides to watch. Definitely not my idea of a good weekend out on the tracks.
Just got back from a 5 day solo trip from Helena and Aura ranges. Saturday Easter weekend. Thought l would come back along the Holland track from Coolgardie. Hadn’t done the track in 10 years. The track didn’t resemble the same as l remember. Big big hole everywhere, track badly cut up. Minority of drivers filming there exploits through the bog holes. Definitely agree with you. Not what the Land-cruiser club envisaged for the track when they opened it.
Nice. So much of what you have is very similar to what we have in SA in places like the Eyre Peninsula or down around the Robe area although I suspect that you have a lot more of it where you are. Absolutely nothing wrong with the approach that you take to 4wding/camping imo as the current trend on here to spend ever more money and smash up equipment or do dumb crap has led me to just unsubscribe from so many channels. I just got back from a camping trip to the Grampians in Victoria and we barely put our vehicles into 4wd and had an absolutely fantastic time. Thanks for the video, very honest and pleasant.
Yes mate I agree! I want to be as opposite to the current trend as I can be! Treading lightly, enjoying the drive, slowing it down. Thanks for watching man!
Love it Matt! Thanks for another great episode. Look forward to what you have for us next :) Can i request maps up on screen to show us where your at (unless its your secret spot) haha Wow poor Gus getting a bit beaten up on those tracks
Just keep being you mate… that’s what keeps us coming back! 😊
Thanks so much mate, that’s lovely to hear 😊
And that pub feed…🤘
One of the best I’ve had!
It boggles my mind that there are some areas I have been to over and over again (like Margaret River) and yet there are places like this that I have never seen.
I completely agree mate!
Another great showcase for SW Western Australia solo! I used to be a bit self-conscious about having a pub meal on my Pat Malone but as I got older I gave up giving a stuff about what other people might think
Na mate I block it all out and just enjoy meself, who gives a tit what anyone else thinks 😁
Another beautiful spot mate. Keep the positive energy coming mate. Love it 👌
Thanks big fella!
Great video Matt, and it was a pleasure to meet you today at Go Camping & Overlanding. Thanks again for effort you put in. Cheers, Tim
Nice to meet you mate, good yarn and thanks for saying g’day and the kind words!

Lovely spot mate and a good pub feed always goes down well. Love relaxing to the sounds of our wild life. The birds are amazing and so relaxing.
Thanks Mick mate!
Thanks Matt, always enjoyed your channel, keeping it real for the everyman
Thanks Old Mate, appreciate it!
Loved it Matt. Been a long rough week. This video helped me to chillax. Keep ‘em coming.
Glad you enjoyed it mate!
Yes Biridng can be rather addictive, not something I ever thought I'd get hooked on!
Likewise man.
Love your work, weve got nothing like this on the east coast that isnt swarming with people and traffic. WA is awesome.
Hey that's nice to hear, speaking as a West Aussie!
What Steve said - that is nice to hear mate!
I really enjoy your no-fuss approach and am similarly non-epic about my adventures yet still manage to go everywhere I want to.

Non-epic haha love it! I completely agree mate! Yeah I saw the traffic, bloody hell gotta wonder where they go…
Love your work, always a pleasure to watch.
Thanks for watching mate, nice to hear 😊

Absolutly love our south west coast!
It’s purely stunning.
Wouldnt mind exploring that area. Just cant bring myself to drive the scratchy tracks! 😂. Love your work mate 👌
She be right 🤠
Beautiful! Inspiring! Thank you for another great video. Beautifully understated!
Thanks mate, that means a lot!
Another wonderful video. had me scanning for cheeky breaks I might not know about haha!
Haha you’ll know once you get there!
Loving your work mate, the camera never does the south west justice i reckon, maybe a good thing to keep the hordes of people away and the place beautiful. Waking up to the birds in the morning would have been heaven ❤
It really doesn’t do it justice very true!
Any where south is the bomb, appreciate it Matt
I agree!
Thanks Matt great solo trip 👍👍👍👍 I’m like you stop off at a old country pub for a feed when I don’t want to cook ….. keep it up .. from the west 🇦🇺
Bloody oath mate 😁
I’m heading out solo to the Mt. Helena/ Aurora Ranges in mid may for a couple of day when I get back home 😁
Love the sound track in this vid bro
Thanks mate, I like it too!
Great video Matty! Will have try get a few days to do a trip like this mid week and not with all the people!
It’s a completely different experience midweek camping mate! It’s great.
Nice

It’s a shame on all accounts! Treading lightly was always the key approach once upon a time.
Nice.

I could, but I also like to encourage a bit of active searching on all your part too 🤣 can’t give it all away! Thanks for watching man. Appreciate it.
I agree no need for maps, it gives the dickheads free reign. Exploring is 99% of the fun of camping n 4wding
Matt, were you ever enticed into joining the Gould League of Bird Lovers? Your knowledge of bird calls is quite good.
I’ll look into that mate!
Great video and I love your editing. I am sorry you don’t get to share with your wife
Thanks mate! That’s okay, we get out together plenty.
Hi Do you open to add some off road lighting for your car? We're looking to do some sponsorship with you!
