In my compulsive need to Tinker with every game I get my hands on lest I feel like even for a moment i am ""wasting time"" i came across this method last year. interesting stuff! this is applicable to many games so i hope people discover this and go wild

It's been a while so I don't remember exactly, but iirc the method I was using for this demonstration was just letting the text run, then copying it into the SavedReplacements file in the program folder and following its formatting to make it say what I wanted it to. It's really easy!
I've been waiting for translation patches for some really interesting rpgmaker games (most of Parun's body of work remain untranslated) but I had no clue software like Textractor existed. Thanks for spreading the word!
I think I remember looking into hacking an RPGmaker game years ago and finding out there was a translation program for it that was easy to use? Patches for that engine shouldn't be a problem AFAIK, but this is definitely also useful for people who want to play untranslated games with MTL if that's what you mean, since that's what it was made for.

It was taken down by copyright (as was like a good half of the playthrough). There's not much I can do about it I'm afraid. It's youtube's auto copyright shit detecting the music. If you like it please play the game!

Because Detective Evangelion is a console only game (it's only PS2 iirc) you'd need to use a different program. I know of a program like this for emulators, though I don't know if it has exactly this feature. Still, though, it's probably a way to do it!
