Corigliano is truly American .He makes our music reminiscent of jazz as well as Appalchian slow tugboats and Nevada deserts at 3minute.I love this music!Why so many boys play viola cello but not violins?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see any horns scored for this piece. Elegy II. is very lyrical and charming. Will need a few more listening sessions to fully appreciate first movt. Not connecting with me.
