Ch. 38 - New Paint on The Front Doors

- Paint, paint and more paint. I keep painting the barn in this video. I also paint the front doors in a new shade of green. Later this summer I'm gonna start the work in the kitchen so I try removing some tongue and groove to see if I can do it without breaking the wood.

The new green is perfect. Matches the foliage around the place.
That tree has more years in it. Once the shock wears off it will be great again. 😌🌳

I like the colour a lot, but I suggest using a softer paintbrush;this one has bristles that are a little stiff

The barn is looking better and better. It looks like you may need to have the blades on your hand mower sharpened, and give it a good dose of lubricating oil. I love my hand mower, but they do need maintenance once in a while. Love the new color for the front door. Good choice! I hope your apple tree makes a full recovery, and you have wonderful apples in a few years to make pies and applesauce. Have a good work!
Looks like you might need to have the push mower’s blades sharpened.
Usually wood cracks when trying to remove it from rot or dryness. My brain says try to get a bit of humidity in the room for the wood when trying to remove it. Having said that, it looks green and lush in the yard which translates, usually inside, so that may not work. It has for me in the past but I live in a pretty dry area and by July and especially August even the grasshoppers are coughing dust. Great that the paint was salvagable, so many wouldn't even try.

When you are painting the really high spots why don't you hang the paint pot off the ladder instead of going up and down so often?

Definitely a better choice of green. Blends in well with the surrounding nature. Man that barn painting! Your arms must get so tired. And how the heck do you get to that peak? Looking good tho I must say.
