For everyone wondering why goyo says “earth tuner” and Cimo summoned it with a dark tuner, that card got updated text changing its summoning condition. During this format Goyo guardian can be made with any tuner
@@marvelsandals4228 except, funnily enough that's not true. In yugioh, there are 2 sectors. The TCG & the OCG, OCG for Asia and TCG for everyone else. Well, in the TCG, goyo had been unbanned to 3 and was doing absolutely nothing. But he was banned in the OCG. Then a pseudo archetype/tribe was made for Goyo Guardian and Konami of Japan decided, for some reason, to errata Goyo Guardian to needing an Earth Tuner. In fact, Goyo Guardian is the only card that was at 3 at the time of it's errata.
@@StormCrownSrThat last part isn't actually true. Makyura The Destructor was unbanned and legal for a while before it was updated to the new text. A lot of people had fun experimenting with it online when they could. I can't confirm whether there were more but that one at least was at 3.

Rarran baiting Cimo into Starlight Road was great play and really showed his fundamentals. If he knew the card synergies with Alius and Gemini Spark, he was in a winning position that game.
I agree. It's the pressure that gets to you when you don't know the cards yet, especially when you need to be mindful of recording content. It would've been cool if he did manage to win with Gemini Spark for sure.
To be fair.. Cimo should've probably switched the decks around. The Blackwing deck is much more intuitive and easy to understand on what it tries to do. The Alius deck requires him to immediately understand what a gemini is, and that Future Fusion is mostly meant as a way to send cards to the GY.
This is truly a wonderful format. I love how Rarran could instantly recognize the power of cards like Starlight Road, Mirror Force, Black Whirlwind, and Absolute Zero.

I'm so glad you got to try Yugioh this way. Edison format alone is a great game that you can spend years mastering but have fun with on your first try. It's a shame there's nothing like it in official spaces to make the new player experience tolerable.
I think the biggest difficulty with having older formats playable is a lot of the better received older formats have cards where the effect is changed so it would be a bit more effort to have the card function with the functionality that makes it a staple at the time. Future Fusion being the biggest factor in this game as well as Goyo Guardian not needing an earth tuner.
@@U1TR4F0RCE For a proper game dev team that shouldn't be a problem. Just change how those word in "the realm of the time wizard". @@hurrdurrmurrgurr for master duel a lot of the good cards in some of the retro formats are ones that people wouldn't necessarily have. Outside of that though while you can't sell new cards in a retro format Konami has actually done reprints where part of why one would buy the set is because it allows access to a card that has limited availability in the retro format. Konami doesn't care about the reseller market luckily unlike magic so for example Blackwing - Vayu which was at least $10 for most of last year was reprinted in Battles of Legend Crystal Revenge and is now pennies.
What Master Duel needs is not necessarily old formats (but people are clamoring for Time Wizard format to be an optional mode, which would be fun) but just other formats in general. I had a lot of gripes about Rarran's Master Duel video stemming from shit like him refusing to finish the tutorial and then complaining the tutorial didn't teach him anything, but one thing he hit on without saying in so many words is that Ranked is the ONLY way to play master Duel mostly. Yeah during Events there's a few twists to the rules, and Casual technically exists, but they're redheaded stepchildren. Ranked is where you get your dailies done, ranked is where most of the players are, because Yugioh requires resources to play casually, and resources can only be gained in Ranked. If there were fun events always ongoing (instead of for around a week every month) and different formats you could actually complete your dailies in, Master Duel would be a lot better. And I say that as someone who got into Yugioh WITH Master Duel and is perfectly fine with just playing Ranked all the time anyway.
Take him through dragon rulers or HAT next , then duelist alliance then TOSS and he's basically playing modern by then I would have started With reaper format b4 Edison tho
As a teacher, running a Yu-Gi-Oh! Club in my school twice a week has been one of my most enjoyable experiences I’ve had. Kids who start from zero end the year with a clear understanding of the game through my constant guidance and frequent practice. Unfortunately, the majority of new players don’t get that experience :/ Fun to see Cimo coach Rarran! You can see his genuine excitement as he went through the duels.
You were allowed to run a yugioh club at your school? God, I just remember being in elementary school back during the game's early years and getting in trouble if your teachers even SAW yugioh cards out in the open anywhere on school grounds lmfao
I'm so glad that Rarranch gave Edison format a chance! Really surprised after all of the flak Rarrandy got on the previous YGO vid, but it's super cool to see Ranthony Rantano and Cimooooooooooo interact.
GOAT'd ass video. Im so happy this ended up being such an improvement over the last one! By the way, If you ever return to Master Duel (i understand if you dont), i suggest doing it when there is a tryout duel event or normal event. Those events happen for like a week every month and they are temporary low power formats with weaker decks allowed and the game even gives you 3 different Free decks to play on those event formats without a collection. Think Tavern Brawls but they happen only once a month or so. You would have a similar experience to this but in the actual official automated client and without alot of the broken cards that plague the game in ranked. I pretty much only play Master Duel when these events are on and the games generally do have alot more back and forth like Edison. Just an idea for a future video!
50:00 It shows you how healthy this game is by the fact that Rarran could have won this if he knew his spell combines whit his Neos Alias who is a Normal Monster when summoned and could have destroyed Goyo Guardian and won the game.
It also shows you how Rarran is not trying to understand the game at all, neither when he played Master Duel nor here, since he doesn't bother reading his cards.
@@gilmu5490 It wasn't as clear to me with his Masterduel video that he wasn't trying to learn the game. But this video made it so clear with how he just wasn't reading any of his cards.
@gilmu5490 felt this way too. Yugioh is absolutely too hard to get into and needs to rectify the issue. However, Rarran talked a lot of shit about the game for someone who STILL doesn't know how direct attacks work

I'm so glad you gave Edison a try, it's just such a shame that master duel doesn't have something like this to ease new players in better than throwing them into the ranked mosh pit.
I'm a hearsthstone player. I learned to get wins with Pendulum magician in two days, what made me really quit is I had two purple dragons to fusion summon and now they allow you to only add one. And that ruined my entire combo
I dont even think it's about easing people in. Most non-Yugioh hardcore players absolutely hate modern Yugioh. If anything we would want other formats to become popular so people actually stay, since modern Yugioh is considered to be a bad card game by most card game players.
@@Hellopleesh Most card game players haven't even tried it at a reasonable level, it's just knee-jerk. Modern yugioh is pretty similar in gameplay to cedh or certain vintage/legacy decks in MtG. And those are pretty popular formats that a lot of people enjoy, but are often priced out of.

Cimo does more for teaching new players than Konami does, he brought a whole new player base with Progression series and he makes History of YGO and Jank. Konami is crazy to not want to work with Cimo

This is actually so much better, I understand what the hell is going on this way. This feels a lot like the early early days of pokemon, or early days hearthstone.
Yes this era of Yugioh is pretty similar to classic Hearthstone's meta in that most games revolve around out-trading your opponent and deck style match-ups; aggro goes for the early win, ramp tries to fulfill conditions to out-value, control wants to grind the game out and combo to stall until they achieve their win condition.
Yeah, for sure. The no mana system and no set rotation is a mess, every 4 main core sets a year have to be more powerful than the last which is why we have the shitshow Rarran discovered. Great video and format!

Thank you Rarran for giving a more enjoyable version of the game a chance. I hope one day we can get a simulator for this version of Yugioh to make it more streamlined.
I really think master duel missed out big on not adding some older format options especially because due to events they tend to do every so often they could easily make various formats and ques for those for yugi boomers or people that are just not able to comprehend modern.
Tbh after n/r format didn't get it's own ladder of even casual rule set that's when I had a feeling yup we're making a 3rd advanced format that means most people now need to know two formats for modern Yu-Gi-Oh
Konami simply doesn't care at all. The banlist is to sell new products. Even in master Duel. There are lots of ideas to balance the game for real, but they are not doing anything on purpose. They choose to ignore videos like this one or any history series or community opinions unfortunately

This was a lot of fun to watch, especially after your first experience and the responses!! I grew up with Yugioh and will always love it despite the flaws that the modern format has. @@saturnusdevorans there's quite a lot of old decks that aren't hit at all by any errata. Worm decks, you know the Needle Worm, Warm Worm Shield Worm mill decks.
tbf even errata'd future fusion would have been good to play earlier. The errata version is only terrible in modern, in edison it would still be good with the errata.
@@motokuchomaI think it depends. In both "games" you are mainly looking for the mill effect to set up other plays. The errata still slows you down in Edison where you can't just go send 2 into Miracle Fusion for immediate tempo. The errata would also open you up to more interruption to not even get the mill period as it would be outed by much more s/t removal like storm or even a topdecked icarus attack hitting it in your draw phase.
@motokuchoma I mean sure but like... future fusion into miracle fusion, when it dies miracle fusion again. I get he wasn't thinking of plays like that, but still. Text changes are definitely notable before the game.
Edison is a good mix of slow enough to learn (most of) the mechanics, but fast enough to still have some of the cool flashy plays of the modern day. It's a good lower power format for people to get adjusted that isn't SO archaic that nothing learned within it applies anymore. I'm personally more fond of a slightly faster game than this (I like playing big long stupid combos, but I think the ability to just say no to every card your opponent plays is dumb), but it seems fun. Haven't personally played Edison, it's from a period I wasn't invested in the game, so there's not a ton of decks that I'm particularly enthusiastic about. Glad to see you actually having fun getting Damage Stepped by Cimoooooooo in classic fashion. xP
Black Whirlwind is still played in current day Blackwing decks. We now have a way to immediately make use of it (Simoon) without drawing it. Blackwings aren't particular common in the current day, but the people who do play them still makes use of Whirlwind.
The comments of this video is a great reminder of the yugioh community, for better or worse. I’m glad people enjoyed it and had nice things to say, probs will be my last video of yugioh other than guessing cards. Enjoy the video and check out Cimo!
Even with there being a couple negative comments im sure the majority of viewers who are part of the yu gi oh community are happy to see you give the game we love another chance :D
Maybe when you play card game, read what cards in your deck do instead of saying newbies need couch to play game. No, they just need to stop being ignorant when a card have more than 3 words of text. Or they need person who can read. Or go play Solitaire. You were just hating game for your ignorance.
@@Mloteks71 Reading cards is probably fine, I think everyone knows how to read. But reading cards isn't actually as helpful as you think considering you have to understand the cards in the context of the game which you're trying to learn simultaneously. Sure, a player who's played Yu-Gi-Oh! for a while will understand how cards interact with each other when new sets are released. But if you don't know how the game works yet, you'll read a very simple card and still be confused as to what you actually have to do.
Before I even watch this video I'm glad that you tried it out I made the suggestion prior with your newer format video. My prediction is that you will think that this is a lot easier and more fun
this format specifically is called "Edison" because its not based on a time window or several years etc its a banlist and cardpool based entirely on one specific snapshot of history at one yugioh event located in edison new jersey back in 2010
It sucks we had to fly cimoo out but seems like you had a lot of fun, super happy you got to experience the joy of flipping judgement and starlight road
What I like most about this interaction between you two, is that Cimo is just explaining a card game. We shouldn't look at Yu-Gi-Oh like we do at other digital collectible card games. Most of the interactions in Hearthstone or Runeterra are automated. And we are very spoiled by relying on these. So having someone with the knowledge, patience and excitement teaching you their favorite game is godly. I love variety on Rarran's channel, maybe it's time to bust out the tabletop simulator and get him to play something like Nemesis or even Kindom Death : Monster. Great Multiplayer games and with an experienced friend could be a cool mini-series.
Yep,even random players will have to explain to you what they are doing while you must know your cards can do at any given time, nevermind little skills like shuffling or side boarding, it's just a different game
Yugioh used to be a ton of fun before it turned into combo and OTK heaven breaking all the rules with graveyards and banned cards. Somewhere along the lines Konami dropped the ball while constantly powercreeping and not throwing out old sets to avoid too many combos.
@@PresidentScrooge I agree but to be honest Yugioh has had its highs and lows even before the broken modern formats, it just so happened to be that Edison was really well balanced. The way Konami monetizes yugioh and pushes chase cards simply doesn't allow for this game to thrive, and modern yugioh is the result of that, where Edison stands as an antidote.
@@PresidentScrooge They dropped the ball by not introducing set rotation almost 15y ago, tbh. The game would still speed up but not nearly as much. There's a lot of people who play current yugioh that like to cope about it but goddamn would it have solved a lot of the issues the game has right now. Rotate out all or almost all of the floodgates and negates and let the game become interactive again.
@@JeshyQT I'm old enough to have played from the first edition. No, it hasn't. Not even the most loop-sided meta of Chaos Emperor Dragon + Yata was the closest to an OTK because of being a lock situation.
Having fun with the game is much more important than being immediately good at it. Many of us have started by not reading the cards carefully, just for fun and to replicate the anime. Getting good at it comes later and becomes another way of enjoying the game. I hope one day you'll be able to say that this difficult game isn't that bad after all.
Man. Rarran should have won that last game! He so had it in the bag. He just misplayed by not reading Gemini Spark and activating it. He would have killed the Goyo and for sure survived Cimoo’s next turn meaning Future Fusion would have gone off and he’d have won.
To note at 10:10, it's very relevant to know what part of an effect is cost and what part is effect. If you negate a card, you are negating the effect. There is no way to stop someone from paying cost unless you prevent them from ever activating it in the first place. In Icarus Attack's example, the opponent will always tribute a Winged Beast and target two cards, regardless of whether or not you negate. If you negate it, all you're stopping is the destruction of the targeted cards, since that's the only effect of Icarus Attack. The only way to prevent them from tributing a Winged Beast and targeting two cards would be to prevent them from activating Icarus Attack, like by putting an effect in play that prevents the activation of Trap Cards. This is relevant because there's a lot of cards in YGO that have beneficial costs attached to them, like Card Trooper that mills 3 cards for cost or Cherubini which sends from Deck to GY for cost - neither of which can be stopped unless you stop those monsters from ever attempting to activate them in the first place.
Glad to see that you came back to give YGO another shot and had a bit more fun with it this time. Retro format Yugioh has been growing exponentially over the past few years and it represents a great way for people of all experience levels to interact with the game. Sorry that the negativity in the comments brought down the experience though!
Since Rarran has started the crossovers, I’ve been looking forward to this, I would highly suggest you to watch the progression series Cimo puts out every Monday
I quit before Edison format as I stopped having people to play with. But this is the game I remember Playing. I watched a modern game and that whole wipe out in the first turn thing happened. And I had the thought. "How is this a game people are supposed to enjoy."
Only part way through the video, but this is the yugioh I remember. No solitaire, more siege-style, board control matters, overall much more chill but sometimes needing to use your brain to do cool manoeuvres. Rarran seems more into it so I am glad he gave it a try!
I think that's simply what most players are after when they play a card game. They want a deck with a strong theme or mechanic, they want to play multiple turns. It's fine if some high level decks have infinite combos or some formats let the game ends in turn 1, but the main playstyle of the game should be fairly familiar and reactive. If the main way people play is that they are building crazy combos in solo and games don't last more than a couple of turns, then something needs to change or the game will die. I'm not very hopeful about the future of Yu Gi Oh for that reason.
@@Ezullof Nah, the current format is actually super interactive. It's just that the less popular stuff is still "build a board" negate fests. Which is where the problem is. The game was solitaire negate spam for years, so even though the top decks aren't like that anymore, the lower tier decks still sort of default to that gameplay, as they're the previous best decks.
@@najawin8348 The fault of most of the lower tier decks being that lies in stuff like Savage Dragon, Baronne, and Appo. Without those cards negate spam would be far less (and the game overall would be in a healthier position)
Cimoo being a good man and willing to ease up on his professionalism plays just to give someone a smile and show them fun. That right there is a certified Pog Champ.
Black Whirlwind is actually played in modern Blackwing decks because it provides access to the newer more busted Blackwing monsters which makes up for its slower speed.
The issue is that competitively speaking, Blackwings don't have what it takes to keep up any longer. Even with the new stuff, the game has passed them by.
More of this! It was so fun, and I'm sure Rawrxd can get super good at Edison if he wants to. Also ngl, the fact that he was willing to give the game another try says a lot about Rarran, since he had a really bad experience, not only with the game itself, but with a toxic part of the Yugioh community as well. Rarran! Thanks for giving yugioh another chance, MBT sent in the big guns and Cimo delivered on his damage step reputation. Looking forward to more content like this ❤

I really do hope you try this again though, limited formats and friends to play with are the best - It would really be great to see you and another content creator play around with some earlier starter decks to get a feel for things in a less constructed level. This was a fantastic introduction to yugioh in general, I like how you genuinely told him correct plays and whether he was using an effect correctly. I do the same thing with my friend that I'm trying to get into the game. I straight up tell him exactly what I'll do in response to his stuff, tell him how to play around it, and in general, try to help him understand his situation so he doesn't misplay himself into a corner, which sadly he does do Funny little story, so he made Purrely in MD at my suggestion, and no matter what deck I used he always found the way to misplay and let me win. One game it was using purrleap when he already had Noir, another he activated the card he targeted off Purrely. No matter how much I tried to help him, the urge to click buttons is the noobs greatest weakness xD
Glad you gave it another chance, but i woulda understood if you didn't, I learned most of modern yugiohs mechanics thru legacy of the duelist (also where i found and fell in love with mathmechs)
This is the Yu-Gi-Oh! i like at most. You can even do this in Master Duel, if you decide with a friend to just build decks on this Level (beside rules like Priority). I enjoyed this so much. Great video! He was an awesome teacher.
Thank you for giving yugioh another shot after the absolute mad introduction you got with masterduel. A good amount of the community can be toxic twats, but luckily we have some great content creators trying to make the game fun and approachable for new players.
its not just synchro, it applies to all extra deck monster including even rituals too but overall its not soemthing that comes up much in recent years since people dont really use cards like starlight road anymore whose effect isnt considered to be the associated summoning method and summoning negates arent all too common as that would be the primary way to see it in action as a negated summon additionally destroys the monster putting it in the grave and since its summon was negated it is considered to have never actually been summoned some examples of cards that induces this rule is in modern times is instant contact and tri-brigade's grave linking since they special summon the fusion/link monster specifically as a special summon and not as a fusion/link summon nor does it have a clause to make the summon be treated as a fusion/link summon
cool to see new people learning the game. there really is a lot to learn for a new player, especially if they try to play modern. another reason it's good that Konami has started supporting alternate formats. It's a good starting point for new players to learn the game until they're accustomed to the mechanics and card pool, especially for kids and for people who prefer older formats.

Rarran baiting Cimo into Starlight Road was great play and really showed his fundamentals. If he knew the card synergies with Alius and Gemini Spark, he was in a winning position that game.
Yeah the whole time I'm just begging for him to ask what gemini spark means
I agree. It's the pressure that gets to you when you don't know the cards yet, especially when you need to be mindful of recording content. It would've been cool if he did manage to win with Gemini Spark for sure.
It's a shame Cimo didn't take the initiative and explain what a Gemini monster was when Rarran summoned Alius.
Him not using Future Fusion was killing me. One of the most busted cards in the game but he just doesn't put 2 and 2 together with it or Gemini Spark.

What I'm learning from this is that:
Every copy of MD needs to come with a Cimoooooooooo.
And
It should have older formats playable.
I think the biggest difficulty with having older formats playable is a lot of the better received older formats have cards where the effect is changed so it would be a bit more effort to have the card function with the functionality that makes it a staple at the time.

We shouldn't look at Yu-Gi-Oh like we do at other digital collectible card games. Most of the interactions in Hearthstone or Runeterra are automated. And we are very spoiled by relying on these.

Seeing Rarran and CImo just having some fun with it is a lot of fun! This format is a fan favourite for a reason.
Great explanation

Retro format Yugioh has been growing exponentially over the past few years and it represents a great way for people of all experience levels to interact with the game.
Sorry that the negativity in the comments brought down the experience though!
Master Duel needs older formats like Edison, GOAT or Hat to make new and returning players getting more engaged towards the game
Konami doesn't want people to play the old game though. Old stuff doesn't make them money. Buy the new shiny stronger cards.
@@birdmanoo0 They recently re-released old early-2000s era boosters packs, so this argument isn't even valid anymore. :\

I'm not very hopeful about the future of Yu Gi Oh for that reason.
board control does matter in yugioh, go play traptrix, best board control deck right now.
@@pokefreakplays IMO Baronne is a perfectly healthy card. Appo and Savage Dragon are where things start getting a bit much.
Plus no once per turn do it can keep stacking and stacking and stacking
@@djeldj Yes, exactly, I forgot to mention that. Even multiple copies at the same time work iirc.
Yeah, as a Blackwing player, Black Whirlwind is one of the best cards in the deck.
Yep, also a modern Blackwing player. You absolutely have to play three in the deck ^^
Kudos to both of you guys
LOL we really had to fly CIMOOOO out to hope this man had fun
Rarran! Thanks for giving yugioh another chance, MBT sent in the big guns and Cimo delivered on his damage step reputation. Looking forward to more content like this ❤
This was how it should have started, modern Yugioh was just too chaotic for anyone without experience to drop into. Cimoooo also introduced you to one of the most loved formats in the whole game, which is nice.
Great vid, really enjoyed seeing this. So much joy at watching you enjoy the game I started with. I really do hope you try this again though, limited formats and friends to play with are the best - It would really be great to see you and another content creator play around with some earlier starter decks to get a feel for things in a less constructed level. Either way, I'll be tuning in to see more of your stuff!
I just want to say thank you Rarran because of your last video on Yu-Gi-Oh i got to try the game out myself and im having lots of fun so much so that i got to platinum in just two weeks of playing keep up the great work ❤👍🏻
Rarran sandbagging future fusion for almost the entire game on BOTH games has made me unreasonably angry
was nice to see you play this honestly! i haven't played yu gi oh at all for the same reasons you didn't like it. Glad to see a different format like this be actually fun
idk if HERO Beat was the best starter deck for Edison but holy shit Cimo is such a good teacher tbh
Hero beat shines I feel as it's more transferable between the decks of edision in terms of learning. Especially because it uses some of the core systems that didn't really change From pre synchro Yu-Gi-Oh
Cimo getting genuinely caught off guard by the starlight road was by far my favorite moment.
I'm so glad Cimooo introduced Edison format to Rarran. Rarran's having fun and I'm having fun watching them as well playing and Cimooo teaching him.
This isn't just the better Yu-Gi-Oh, this is Yu-Gi-Oh in it's prime.
If you ever want to play alone in a let's play, try the DS game Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship Over the Nexus. It also plays in the Edison time age.
I'm so glad he was shown this way. This was what I knew. I came back to Yu-Gi-Oh in Master Duel and was completely lost lol
So happy to see you give ygo another chance, also happy that you had fun too! hopefully the ygo community doesn't ruin everything...
You picked the perfect yugituber to collab with this on, Cimoooo is awesome
cimo not explaining what a gemini was actually killed me man. g2 if rarran knew the gemini distinction he could have popped the goyo and drawn and actually woulda been in a very strong decision since shura can't get over honest and he woulda established abzero
This was a fantastic introduction to yugioh in general, I like how you genuinely told him correct plays and whether he was using an effect correctly. I do the same thing with my friend that I'm trying to get into the game. I straight up tell him exactly what I'll do in response to his stuff, tell him how to play around it, and in general, try to help him understand his situation so he doesn't misplay himself into a corner, which sadly he does do
Funny little story, so he made Purrely in MD at my suggestion, and no matter what deck I used he always found the way to misplay and let me win.
Team cimooo here, alex is one of the best persons to learn about yugioh tcg, he explains so calmly.
This is the Yu-Gi-Oh! i like at most. You can even do this in Master Duel, if you decide with a friend to just build decks on this Level (beside rules like Priority).
I enjoyed this so much. Great video! He was an awesome teacher.
Glad to see you got to have a good yugioh experience!
Thank you for giving yugioh another shot after the absolute mad introduction you got with masterduel. A good amount of the community can be toxic twats, but luckily we have some great content creators trying to make the game fun and approachable for new players.
its nice seeing you actually enjoy ygo. Hopefully you will do more videos or atleast test different edison decks
I literally never knew about that synchro graveyard summoning rule before, I had to look it up to verify
its not just synchro, it applies to all extra deck monster including even rituals too but overall its not soemthing that comes up much in recent years since people dont really use cards like starlight road anymore whose effect isnt considered to be the associated summoning method and summoning negates arent all too common as that would be the primary way to see it in action as a negated summon additionally destroys the monster putting it in the grave and since its summon was negated it is considered to have never actually been summoned
some examples of cards that induces this rule is in modern times is instant contact and tri-brigade's grave linking since they special summon the fusion/link monster specifically as a special summon and not as a fusion/link summon nor does it have a clause to make the summon be treated as a fusion/link summon
Great video! Hope you enjoyed playing Edison format, it’s definitely a lot more enjoyable for newer players and easier to understand.
Bro got damage stepped. Cimos protagonist power is real
this looks so much more enjoyable, than Master Duel. Master Duel looked like "you went 2nd? congtats! you lost. ".
cool to see new people learning the game. there really is a lot to learn for a new player, especially if they try to play modern. another reason it's good that Konami has started supporting alternate formats. It's a good starting point for new players to learn the game until they're accustomed to the mechanics and card pool, especially for kids and for people who prefer older formats.
While there are a lot of differences between Yugioh and Hearthstone, don't forget that Yugioh have been out for almost 30 years now while Hearthstone is close to 10 years old. Card games tend to become a lot more fastpased with time. Just think about the difference between classic and current Hearthstone. Just nice to see Rarran get a chance to experience the Yugioh a lot of people loved. Also remember to like and subscribe : )
Eh? I thought ygo is from 2004.
@@egoalter1276the yugioh manga came out in 1996. its getting close to 30 years old
I absolutely love Cimo's yugioh lore videos. Now getting to learn Edison from him while he teaches my favorite Hearthstone streamer is peak content
really happy to see that youre willing to still give YGO an extra chance. I know it's been said a 1000 times, but this game truly is so fun and amazing if youve got the paitence and willingness to learn it all.
I did not anticipate just how wholesome this video would be. This was awesome.
I would totally play this version of the game. This looks really fun
You should give Yugioh 5DS Championship games a try, those games made me learn almost everything about this kind of format
@@maestradebobobo767Ah the good ol DS era. Love them games 😊
Edison format
