Thanks for all your support for the new series! We saw your feedback regarding how the perspectives flip back-and-forth too rapidly during the gameplay, and will tone it down in future episodes! This episode was already finished before Episode 1 was released!
How frustrated were you when you found out that rarran could have had 2 BLS but chose to have none? Lol
Rarran was like joey with his luck most of this video
Glad this issue is being addressed, because yeah, it got annoying real quick in Episode 1. It'd be much better if both players' facecams but only Cimo's perspective was displayed constantly.
I mean, I like seeing both hands tbh. What if you did something like a hand-cam using a rotoscoping/masking effect on his capture? Feather the edges of the mask so it blends into your capture a little cleaner? Best of both worlds? Love this new series btw.
Rarran needs to play doto.. also, your description say subscribe to rhyme then tagged rarran..
I love how Rarran was just able to intuit the whole strategy of cyber stein OTK without even knowing the cards beforehand
"Fuck this guy" after rolling BLS twice while Cimo is desperately building for it himself and doesn't roll it once LOL.
He doesnt need him, he have the blessing of RNGesus
I can’t believe he passed up BLS twice. That’s a must grab for me
to be fair rarran did have amazing choices and just went with generic low level good stuff
@@anacreon212 almost all his other choices were good yeah
@@TehWhiteTiger not to mention he played pretty well for his experience level
There is an alternate universe where Rarran could've OTKd Cimo by opening Cyber-Stein, Megamorph, and Creature Swap.
The double 6 roll Roulette Barrel was hilarious, he really wanted to kill that Jinzo lmao
Rarran had a great start, then fumbled a lot in between but, just in general, he did good. That's something to be proud of, so congrats for giving this Draft a chance, you evolved so much.
In general, this series is a good way of teaching new players and returnees, while still having a high level for veterans.
PS: Saying "f-ck this guy" to arguably one of the best and strongest cards ever in GOAT Format is to be laughed at. I won't scroll through the comments but you expect some beef from it.
Rarran did great, and people bag on him for BLS but the other picks when he had BLS were equally as good, both snatch and graceful are never dead and let’s be honest BLS would’ve ended up dead in hand with no light in grave.
Now, passing on Torrential on the other hand…
@@charlesf.7947 ye it was funny skipping on bls but understandable considering the choices. i facepalmed when he faded torrential for whatever it was he took instead lol
@@tjr930 But the important thing is now he should know that the cards he skipped like BLS are really good, he should hopefully perform better if he returns to do this again.
Rarran, had 2 chances at the best card in GOAT format and said it was bad. I love this man.😂
To be fair, there was no bad pick in his first chance at it (Snatch Steal and Graceful Charity are both ridiculous).
@@moonjelly5Yeah, and those Spells are never dead whereas BLS probably would be dead with no light in grave
Plus, BLS is only good if you build around it, and im almost sure rarren had 3 light monsters at max
That is highly debatable about it being the “best card”.
Maybe the best monster. Card is a massive stretch.
You can't really blame him. He didn't know. Watch as he now knows it will never appear lmao
No way. It actually happened. Cimo and Ramranch. The prophecy has been fulfilled.
They already played once.
18 naked duelists at Ramranch! Joseph checks out!
Hidden Valley ramranch plays yugioh?
They’ve played Edison before
@@MegaMetal96 Oh did they? Nice! Must have missed that,
honestly i gotta give big props to rarran he caught onto flip control and gamba like a true ygo player
I think that, at least with non Yugioh players, explaining cards like Metamorphosis in advance is a good idea. That way they aren't so uncertain over Fiend Skull Dragon and Dark Balter type cards.
Agreed. Clarifying some things beforehand or even mid game would be better.
Yeah, that’s really the only thing that’s not immediately obvious with this draft pool
To be fair Metamorphosis & Lvl. Up were 2 cards that bent rules early on w/o explaining itself.
Cimo after drafting 40 removal cards:
"We're lacking removal"
Rarran is unofficially the wild card. I love seeing his perspectives of the game coming from a Hearthstone background, and his hot takes like saying “fuck this guy” about BLS with his flippant delivery sends me flying. I don’t care who wins, I just know this will be a fun match up to watch
In his deck, it was the correct call. He didn't have the light targets for it, really.
"Two duelists" This is more like a gladiator verses a samurai. Both clearly fighters...but one is rather out-of-place.
Doubly so with the samurai flipping coins everywhere.
Seeing Rarran hit however many coin flips correctly and the double six on a die roll, I think he should go play the lottery.
average hearthstone skillset
I'm actually really happy to see Rarran on this series, I know that this is part promo for his channel & goat format is a different world of Yu-Gi-Oh but after seeing him be so heavily against modern Yu-Gi-Oh the fact he said yes & seemed to actually be enjoying himself while playing it makes me happy. :)
RarraRNG talking about being Yugi Mutou, when he's actually Joey Wheeler.
I think Cimo just doesn’t want to work with Farfa
@@CD-zi6rb You lost bro?
@@Chaosfly10 Replied to the wrong comment 😩
Normally I would seethe cause he skipped BLS twice but the petty “fuck this guy” won me over 😂😂
Penguin Soldier driving fear into Cimo's heart in two separate series is cinema
Rarran reverses Cimo's overpowered luck with his own overpowered luck skill!
That’s that hearthstone rng carrying over 😂
I love Rarran, so glad to see this collaboration. Watching him draft reminds me of trying to interpret these unintuitive ass cards for the first time.
I love how rarran started by dunkin on the game on its very real issues, and the community responded by helping him and including him in, that he slowly became one of us.
to be fair, the community was not extremely helpful until he invested hours into learning modern yugioh. Am pretty sure he would have had fun from the start playing old school drafts though.
I like seeing things like this. As you don't have to be the best player to just be good at drafting. It's also just a fun way to get new players interested in trying out the game even if it's not the modern version of the game.
The megamorph actually used like it was designed lmfaooo
The double roll six was so funny, i always enjoy this wacky duels 😂.
Fantastic episode, one of the best of your channel imo.
you can see ramranch isn't a yu gi oh player...he actually read the cards!
Think playing Sword Souls and his other decks paid off. XD
Haha reading funny
I had no idea cimo was also a hearthstone legend! Rarran better watch out
I like Rarran. If he ever wants to do another episode I'd be happy to see him back!
Same.
Love seeing him play ygo.
A little suggestion, do a short introduction of the guest of the video. It true that their name is on the video’s name but it helps to know who you are dueling
Crossover we actually needed.
Feels like watching endgame again.
Awesome episode
Rarran getting offered 2 Lusters is crazy, would have been a giant meme, but for the best he didnt know maybe ;)
>Fairy Box is activated
>Memories of Progression Series rush back to Cimo
Love this series. Thank you for keeping up the amazing content you two
If Cimo is Yugi with his protagonist powers, Rarran is Joey with that insane luck.
Rarran played so well! The episode was so close and it was suuuuper entertaining, his gamba luck was insaaaaaane 😂
RaWrrxD making it onto a Cimo series before Farfa is so funny to me.
I get the feeling Cimo just doesn’t like Farfa
@@CD-zi6rb Tbf, I don't like him either. He's acting like in a baby show (aka overacting) while also pretending he's smart, which is quite annoying. He doesn't even know what "Hot take" means (A take that would put you like the Tangled meme) or how to be sarcastic.
@@N12015 I think his scripted content is fine. It’s just the manchild personality he has for streams that make me stay away from his content.
The way he acts attracts a lot of awful type of viewers too, which is evident with his twitch chat.
@@CD-zi6rb Wait, that man child attitude is not an act? My Rah, he's worse than I expected.
i love the internet. a simple joke, turned into oh these guys hate each other to to dogpiling on farfa 🤣
Great series it was awesome seeing someone not so familiar with yugioh play the game. Keep up the good work and thanks!
I cannot believe rarran has the ability to OTK through sheer dumb luck
It would be great if the flipped perspective only happens each turn. Keep it on the turn player, and use add the camera footage on top and bottom to clarify who’s who.
I love this series but what I love about this video is that you got a non Yugioh player to participate. Reminds me of teaching friends how to play when I was younger. Great vid!
Rarran's takes on yugioh cards are actually so based
I love how edditing (switche between pows) got a lot better in this episode. Kudos to the Editor!
first time reading his cards. that is 1 more time than most yugioh players. clearly an unfair advantage.
I love the new series! This reminds me of trying to play arena style in Shadowverse and failing miserably, lol. I wish MD could program this as a game feature
Great series, this one was so fun! Rarran brings the newbie factor that I didn't know I would love watching hah.
I like this idea, it's a lower ceiling format which is good for rarran as he's still semi new, by the end of the series he'll be one of us! Rarran, you may have had hate but the points you made actually made sense, I think that's why you've been embraced more by the community than act man, and cimooo gets to do a capitalism so everyone wins 😅
I think my only thing i wanted ranran to do differently was take dark dust spirit, torrential tribute(these could turn the tempo back in his favor in an undesirable position) and ha des(is great for keeping pressure). Other than that i have no complaints i feel like he did a good job of not falling for some of the bait cards in here and determining the strongest card choice. If i we're to grade his card choice in the draft id give him a 90% A. All in all really proud of ranran for his choices looking forward to seeing more of him in the yugisphere
Super fun episode. I'd love to see the opposite where Cimo plays against Ram in Hearthstone, that'd be a sight to behold
It looks like Alex threw game 2 for content. Wall pay 1000 on attack declaration would have caused Rarran to have more lifepoints and megamorph would cut darkfire dragon down to 750 instead of boosting it to 3000.
Did I just witness a metamorphosis into Darkfire Dragon win a Game...
That's incredible! XD
Watching a non Yugioh player's though process while drafting was kind of fascinating. I hope I don't sound mean by saying that cause I'm really not judging him and I think he made overall very solid decisions for someone unfamiliar with the cards beforehand it's just interesting to see him evaluate the cards on the fly.
Why did Cimoooo not use wall of revealing light to lower his life points so that they were lower than Rarrans's during game 2?
Cimoooo had the 2-0 maybe he was giving rarran a chance and being a nice host!
@@Reporteddd Fair enough.
I understand why the modern game is the way that it is right now, but there's something about early yugioh where everything is much more generic that makes the incidental synergies more fun to discover. I think there's definitely a version of the game that uses tribal synergy as well as generic good stuff cards.
This was epic. Sad to see Rarran's deck having almost no outs to the wall of revealing light. But he couldn't have known noblemen wouldn't work so its understandable
Man, watching Rarran's progress with learning the game reminds me of when i was a kid learning the game. He's doing well. Of course older formats are better for learning the game because of the simpler card design.
Man I remember Slate Warrior from back in the day but didnt realize just how crazy it was. The Flip effect is pure greed, but just the fact that it was a 1900 attack 4-star effect monster with a pretty substsntial UPSIDE, in world where most 4-star monsters over 1800 attack had downsides. I know thats about when 1900 just became the norm on 4-stars, after the introduction of cards like Gemini Elf and Archfiend Soldier, but still....
Haven’t finished the video but seeing the guy roll THE DREAM goat line up of Thousand Eyes, Metamorphosis & the like is some insane beginners luck. Happy for him tho👍
I love this series. Hearthstone Arena is such a fun way to play the game
He did well considering, but this was still painful! Haha. Good effort Rarran 👏
… player new to learning the game… wins with luck based cards..
IS RARRAN OUR JOEY WHEELER?!?!!
You could have paid 1000 with wall on attack dec to make your life points lower making mega morph halve the attack instead of doubling it in game two
While Cimo is obviously a more experienced duelist, it pains me to see how he could have lost several times if Ranran didn't make so many blunders.
Winning with 'effin Darkfire Dragon HAS to be the most Manga Ryu-Rarran thing to do in the history of Mugi the Yuglioh ☠️
Honestly, is this the first time ever Darfire Dragon wins a duel? Buddy literally passed on Jinzo and 2x BLSEotB
what a L E G E N D 🔥🔥🔥
Cimooo & Rarran combination is an instant click for me
Thanks for the vid cimooooo. I just played 10 games if md, where I lost the coin flip and in 4 of my games, my opponent pulled at least 3 one ofs.it’s not been my day in master duel.
Love Cimo, always rooting for him in his matchups against MBT and Gage in history/progression, but I wish he cut Rarran some slack and gave him another turn in duel 3, he quite clearly f'ed up and cost himself by not setting the Gale Lizard :(
Ah well, can't have the Hearthstone player lose to the yugioh player
At 50:20, if Cimo activated the Wall of Revealing light, his LP would be lower causing Megamorph to halve the atk instead of double (750 atk vs the 1600 def monster) and it would have either cancelled the attack or if it went through then he'd win from battle damage.
Someone teach this guy tearlaments so he can gamble at the highest level.
I almost died from pain, from saying no graceful charity. Its sooo broken, thankfully it came back
Cimooo had an out. Summon Zombyra in attack. Wait for him to attack Zombyra. If he uses Sasuke, the duel is determined by the coin toss.
If he attacks with Darkflare, he can activate Wall of Revealing Light, pay 600, Megamorph will then make Darkflare's ATK become 750, and that's game.
hope the perspectives flipping back and forth can be used in the other series as well
You can tell he was having a lot of fun after game 2. THATS what Yugioh is all about!!
duuuude watching him pass on bls and jinzo back to back was heart wrenching
I wish that ygopro would keep track of how often a certain card is picked for a given cube so that new players can have a better time and also help the cube creators assess better
Rarran drew absolute fire oh my god.
rarran did well. It is really hard to draft in a format like this without knowing what the cardpool is like.
Cimo always refuses to give himself props lol
When it comes to modern yugioh sure he might not have done much winning recently
HOWEVER, when it comes to resource management & weighing the odds in the moment decision making Cimo is so good at it.
We've seen him win so many games in masochist & other series simply because he played perfectly. Cimo is not below average in the slightest.
If this series is gonna be a long running one and the same draft is gonna be used multiple times, you’re gonna wanna try to draft ambitiously.
If you’ve already drafted chaos pile before, why not draft creator? Or sacred phoenix? Or fusion turbo? Or flip control?
Drafts will get boring for viewers if they’re the same every time. Just like it’s fun to bring a spicy creative deck to prog, don’t be afraid to draft something spicy in this series.
I feel like Wall of revealing light is a little broken in this pool. It doesn't really seem like there's any spell/trap removal other than maybe a 1 of dust Tornado if you pick it.
Would loved to see more Rarran here
Honestly rarrans ability to intuit and valuate cards is stunning for a non ygo player
he has more game knowledge reading goat cards then most people who actually play
Not taking Trunade for the Stein OTK is CRAZY. I would've picked it up just for the chance, even if they are all one-of's.
Rarran doesn't believe in the heart of cards, he believes in RNGesus.
Rarran choosing Robbin Goblin over Phoenix Wing Wind Blast hurt a little bit
Should have him back for another episode since he actually knows how the cards work now. Great episode. The games were also fairly entertaining
Huge shoutout to Ramranch for reading equivalent to a whole novels worth of text
MBT was right, Cimoooo does need to be flown out for people to learn Yugioh
I feel like this series needs a quick intro at the beginning to introduce the guest before hopping into drafting.
“Not this card, fuck this card” on BLS is INSANE 😂
I'm so happy to see Rarran playing Yugioh again
Ramranch took every card that has rng, a true hearthstone player
I can’t believe rarran got the combo that kaiba use to clap me in the gba game cyberstein ultimate and megamorph otk xD
Cannot believe you got the real life joey wheeler
I like how this was a duel between the protagonist and the guy with coin flips and dice rolls! This felt so Yugi vs Joey to me!
Rarran with MBT coaching get out of my mind 😂 Too powerful to exist
Today Cirno is dueling just literally Joey Wheeler apparently
Absolutely threw game 2. Could have pyramid for 2000 gone down to 200 and then the megamorph's downside would have triggered.
That was I thinking
He was dueling someone who has barely any interaction with Yu-Gi-Oh. No need to snake eyes combo on a toddler bro
@@ImTheScottMann that true
@@ImTheScottMann what? That doesn't even mean anything in the context. No one is playing snake-eyes. So if you have a point say it plainly.
@@epicman2000 google "Metaphor"
Game 2 could just be titled “Cimo bullies Hearthstone Player™️ until Fairy Box gives him detention.”
Blessed be Raran for he has the favour of RNGesus
Cimo should’ve won game 2.
Summon Zombyra pass.
Rarran swings into Zombyra with Darkfire Dragon.
Cimo activates Wall of Revealing Light and pay 1000 LP.
Darkfire Dragon’s attack halves since his Rarran LP is higher than Cimo’s
Darkfire Dragon crashes and Rarran loses.
