Solomon Islands’ outgoing PM’s dealings with China have been ‘extremely worrying’

- The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says Solomons Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare’s dealings with China have been “extremely worrying”.
“Because they focused on the security sector,” he told Sky News Australia.
“He’s been the opposite of transparent, he’s signed security deals with China.”
Mr Sheridan’s remarks come as the Solomon Islands Prime Minister will step down from his five-year rule.
“This is a good outcome from Australia’s point of view,” he said.
