I've seen this mechanism in several church clocks where they drive multiple faces. Always worth asking, Would it be possible to view the clock mechanism. Is it still running ?

Does the clock's speed remain unchanged while it is winding?

I was thinking the same thing. Do you have the answer now?

The clock's speed should remain continuous, even when it is being wound, because the length and weight of the pendulum are what is required to change the running speed of the clock, and raising the power weight should not affect them.
