  • Today I demonstrate how to express repressed feelings through a somatic exercise - stating "I cant" while stomping to intensify emotions; specifically apathy and anger. In the second half I share the symbolism of the thighs and the psychoanalysis of apathy using David Hawkins book 'Transcending the Levels of Consciousness'.

    Disclaimer: This does not replace 1-1 intensive inner work - it is only a tool to deepen your mind-body connection and expand inner work self-exploration.

    *2 Ways to Work With Me:*
    *Option 1: 6-Week In-Body Immersion*
    This is a private introduction to Somatic Healing. Each week, we will engage in a new exercise that will inspire spontaneous expression as you begin to trust the many ways your body wants to move towards harmony. I will guide you through emotional blocks and help you decode signs within symptoms. In our time together, you will acquire numerous somatic techniques, a comprehensive review of each experience, and a lifestyle plan to live in accordance with the laws of the body. This process is to REVITALIZE what was once traumatized - from frozen to sensitized. Coming alive and feeling like home.
    - Structure: 6/90 min sessions (Must be used within 8 weeks)
    This work is for you if you want to learn the mechanics of the body and explore Eastern/Western techniques to heal from trauma.
    *Option 2: 12-Week Private Mentorship*
    This is a 12-week experience that requires you to slow down, feel, and express. I take a holistic, embodied approach to help you create a lifestyle that is purposeful and energetically alive.
    During our time together, you will learn how to navigate the unconscious psyche-soma and cultivate a healthy sexuality. I will introduce you to books and embodiment exercises, and we will create a diet and exercise plan tailored to your mobility and daily responsibilities. I’ve personalized this mentorship to be as insightful and supportive as possible! All of my work draws upon trauma psychology, somatic techniques, and spiritual practices.
    As a self-healing system, respect and compassion are the cornerstones of what makes you feel like ‘home’. Without these two principles, you will have quite a difficult time differentiating from symptoms and will easily fall prey to emotional states. For this reason, there are conditions to inform you if this mentorship is feasible for you.
    Prerequisites: Complete sobriety and no medication. However, if you're willing to transition into sobriety and want extra support, I will honorably work with you. This is non-negotiable when working with trauma. If you cannot do this, it’s okay; it simply means that I am not the right coach for you.
    This mentorship is right for you if you…
    - Can manage 12 weeks of dedicated somatic inner work
    - Want to learn from the body
    - Can say no to drinking/smoking
    - Have 10-14 hours a week for self-care (2 hours per day)
    Full Mentorship Details: This extends over 12 weeks. 1 x 120min weekly meeting (same day & time). I offer support between sessions during open office hours every Friday. This is the optimal time to check in, provide updates, and ask questions. All communication will be through Telegram. I am offline Sunday-Tuesday; these are the days I recharge for the week ahead.
    *For All Incoming Clients:* Send a direct message to my Instagram to schedule a consultation. It can take up to 14 days for me to respond because I want to intentionally meet with you.
    It’s come to my awareness that this work will cross your path at a very specific time. It requires a significant amount of sacrifice within your personal and emotional reality to have a cohesive integrational experience. Speaking from my heart, this process is as heavy as it is revitalizing - it’s a journey to Respect. This is why my work is structured to be paired with a certain mindset and emotional pull that will transcend mundane reality to link with the magical essence of the Soul. If you’ve read this far and feel a resonance you cannot dismiss, know my purpose here. Until then, heed the call!

    Britany, do you have any advice to help a child (11 years old) during a grief process?

    • @BrittanyAMorrow
      @BrittanyAMorrow  Месяц назад +1

      Give them resources to learn their emotions and outlets to express their emotions so they're less likely to act impulsively or catch themselves if they do. Help them grow in awareness of their inner world. If you aren't already, be a strong pillar that's ridiculously empathetic and compassionate for them to grieve however they need too. I hope this helps, reading your comment strung my heart cord because its the exact age I needed to process grief but the world didn't have many direct resources. Luckily we live in a trauma-informed time, take advantage of it!

    How can you both ground the energy while simultaneously releasing it? Or do you mean grounding it into the earth?

    • @BrittanyAMorrow
      @BrittanyAMorrow  Месяц назад +1

      I say 'grounding' to reference how to enhance the emotion which yes, paradoxically releases energy. By making it a full in-body experience, feelings rise to the surface (consciousness) so they can be released and later, processed. In regards to this video, it's via the stomping gesture that you're grounding to release.
      Quite an earth-based video haha I hope this brings some clarity Brittany!

      @@BrittanyAMorrow interesting, I’ve never looked at it that way before (I tend to have a hard time containing intense experiences, but maybe I’m looking at it wrong.) Thank you for clarifying!

      @@Brittanyem I know what you mean! In a way it feels good to release emotion or feeling states immediately - somewhat like giving into a favorite treat after resisting it for a month. However, when you contain the emotion to such intensity and provide an outlet, the energy fills and expels through the entire body not just one part which gives an all encompassing release. Full & Deep letting go!

      @@BrittanyAMorrow I went through a year and a half phase where that charge would unconsciously build up, signalling a need for release, without my interference. That unconscious charge has since subsided but it’s interesting to see you kind of build that charge yourself (if I’m seeing this correctly? 😅) for the purpose of release. Maybe this is something I should consider trying myself… thank you for sharing!

    Dear Brittany does this somatic work ever end I have been doing now for almost a year and it is the same move starting with the hip shaking and intense movement going up to the neck and my neck start moving right and left and in circles and become very fast and strong in scary way am I doing something wrong

    • @BrittanyAMorrow
      @BrittanyAMorrow  Месяц назад

      I'm glad to say it doesn't not end and you are doing nothing wrong. This is simply how the unconscious moves you but I would recommend adding different practices and observe how you respond to them.
