    “Make a regular chocolate bar but don’t use a food safe mold” really highlights how many hacks are just doing a normal thing in a convoluted and unsafe way, while “buy a whole ice cream cone and put the ice cream in a coffee for an iced coffee with cream” highlights how many hacks are just making a normal food in a convoluted and more expensive way.

    • @GSutton
      @GSutton 2 года назад +49

      Also, putting ice cream in coffee is hardly "new" or a "hack."
      Some of these TikTok trends are just repurposed posts from the early days of social media (and simple concepts anyone could have thought up - and often already have.)

    • @fairylen7385

      Haha here in Australia our "iced coffees" and "iced chocolates" have icecream and whipped cream in them normally, and are really more of a dessert than a drink. The versions America and other places seem to have, with just ice, don't really exist here.

    • @KidaKuro
      @KidaKuro 2 года назад +19

      I was coming to say this too. As someone who makes silicone molds for resin, I put a disclaimer on my molds to say they are not to be used with food.
      Since pop its are not made to be used with food, even if they by perchance used a "safe" silicone, they could be using colarants that are not.

    the ice cream in the coffee is just a reverse affogato.. where you pour espresso over vanilla ice cream, which i LOVE! The Nutella with cream can also be done with nestle coffee and milk tins with cream.. makes a silky smooth rich coffee ice cream. Pretty sure cream and condensed milk makes a simple home-made icecream base that you can flavour up different ways and doesn't need constant churning to get a smooth result. My chef friend says they used this for making fancy flavours at the restaurant where she worked.

    2:10 And here we see Laurie, an accomplished RUclips creator, acting like a complete kid and I LOVE IT. The look on her face as she spins that gummy stuff! The poor dinosaur just getting stretched apart as she tries to take a bite, didn't expect it to be that difficult.

    As someone have wasted so much sugar trying to recreate those delgona cookies. I'm impressed you nailed it on your forth try!
    I finally got the recipe itself down and noticed I had a easier time working with pan rather than a laddle.
    However, I still had some troubles stamping shapes into the cookies.

    For the dalgona, I recommend watching videos of Korean experts do it. Like the actual street vendors. I got more tips that way than anything. I didn’t burn any of mine (did it on a frying pan) and they didn’t stick to the thing I used to press them either.

It would be super cool to be able to follow a recipe and let him enjoy an alternative take on it.💛❤️

    Poor Archie! Noodle, my poodle, does the same thing. She loves puppachinos and knows when we're in a drive-thru. If you have any heavy cream leftover you can actually make a puppachino at home. It's just heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract(1/2 a cup, 1T and 1/4t). I love layering it with fruit and even made a small bowl for Noodle's birthday 'cake'. She was so happy.

    Fun fact, the best way to get the shape out is buy using water. Because of the air bubbles in the sugar being randomly placed, if you use a pin you have a higher chance of cracking it. With water your dissolving the sugar, and the imprint in the sugar will keep the shape intact.

    Those "toys" are made incredibly cheeply to be mass-sold in those kinda cheap/crap places, the only place I've seen them be sold in the UK is street carts in city centres where everything on it is basically a scam. There's 100% NO CHANCE that is food grade materials, and there's no way it's safe for kids to play with (especially younger ones to chew on) meaning this is a super bad video incase people replicate it. Unless something is specifically stated to be food grade silicon, DON'T MAKE FOOD WITH IT
