  • The Webinar highlighted traffic safety as a public health issue. Panelists provided an understanding of basic public health principles and how they apply to traffic safety. They also examined traffic safety through a public health lens, present the public health approach to injury prevention, and address the need for equity in efforts to improve traffic safety.

    Re interagency collaboration, Georgia's Governor's Office of Highway Safety sponsors various task teams which draw membership from GDOT, public health, law enforcement, nonprofits etc. Great networking tool.
