Henry, thank you for your leadership and guidance on how to save Oak Flat. Our little corner on this planet is rather special, a gift to be cherished and protected.

Hes retired. Living a decent life. What about all of us younger generation that live in these areas. There are NO jobs here. Mining is our life. We need this. The companys will spend billions to return the land back when the mining is done. This isnt the 80s. I work for Liability Management for Freeport. We dont mine at my location anymore and we spend millions restoring the land and giving back. This is bs. He has a biased opinion from his passed experiences in mining. Things have changed big time.

The depletion of water is enough to honor this video. Maybe the percentage is incorrect on China but there is still some involvement here along with other countries , continents, and nations. It’s about the gold, copper is needed but it is a distraction.

Cooper mining is a pretty nasty business no matter where it is, or what methods you're using, on the other hand the major copper mines of the world are getting to a very depleted state and copper is one of the most highly recycled metals, so the idea that we can exist on the copper that has already been mined doesn't comport with reality.
If they are willing to truck the tailings 12 miles away (very costly), it would seem there would be some type of resolution that is reasonably clean. Of course the hole in the ground is always going to be there, but that's mining.

I think that's all a bit hypocritical to be honest . It was good enough for you to go block caving for 13 years , but now you want to put a stop to job creation. The world doesn't revolve around you buddy

Many in these mining towns are sold the dream of mining as a lifelong job which one can subsist on, but then they watch their towns get destroyed by this fickle industry ultimetly at the mercy of these mega corperations, the prospects just look worse and worse this guy is trying to stop people from beliving the same lies he did
