I’ve had mine for 3 years… it absolutely will do 800km. As long as the engine is off and you are rolling down a hill. Vw says it should get 30mpg in the city but I normally don’t get any higher than 24.

Thinking about picking up a used one with very low miles (8,000). What it can do is more than adequate for North American highways (being that's what it was designed for).
It’s a great car man. If you want a car with great features that will keep payments and fuel costs low this is the way to go. It’s not a fast car by any means but it has more than enough power to pass on the interstate. If you are a faster cruiser (90-95 mph) it will do great. Nothing like cruising at 95 and watching the mpg counter stay at 32-35 mpg

in Deutschland oder USA ? Wenn Deutschland ..wie ist das mit den US Spezifikationen ,also Getriebe ,Lenkung ,Kühlung etc und ..wie stellen sich die deutschen VW Werkstätten an ,wenn du mit dem ankommst ,ich meine Service und Ersatzteile ?
@@abostil6133 wie ich vermutet habe ,ja ,VW sieht Grauimporte - besonders aus Übersee - wohl nicht so gerne und legt da paar Steine in den Weg ,bezgl Routan und US Passat wurde ja auch in der Fachpresse " abgeraten " ,da sind die Japaner kulanter ,ich selbst habe zwar keinen US Import ,sondern einen deutschen Auris 1.6 von 08 ,aber mein Händler hatte auch schon Sienna ,FJ Cruiser etc auf dem Hof zur Durchsicht und Reparatur . Das kuriose ...diese Autos werden auch niemals in D offiziell angeboten ,aber die Ersatzteile können völlig problemlos sogar - wurde mir jedenfalls gesagt - bei Toyota D geordert werden ,bei Honda -z.b beim Element - ebenso
Really like the looks of many VWs including this one. However, no matter what year a VW is, they ALWAYS have some issues. Many times working on VWs, dip stick broke simply checking oil, or plastic shield(s) under engind bay...broke while carefully removing to change oil, oil filter, spark plugs etc. My point, VWs...most..are cheaply made and its a shame. Never buy VWs or Fords or Jeeps. Jeep rhymes with cheap for a reason. Sad...
I've always had VW cars and any single one of them has ever turned the check engine indicator or any other malfunction whatsoever. It's not the car but the owner.

I just bought one, I think one full tank will run the car for 800km!!!!!! Means about 16km/ liter or 6.5 liter/ 100 km👏👏
