I think the most interesting thing about this is that every synth literally is unique. No two of these will ever sound exactly the same. Come to think of it, over time, it won't even sound like itself.
@ 18:00 the pads you playing reminded me so much of Jarre! Love this thing. Saw a video back about a year ago talking about this. Was it's debut i believe. SO JEALOUS! enjoy and MOTOR SYNTH
Motor Synth!!! That thing is out of this world!!! Alien Tech??? Imagine if that company did a keyboard built with that platform??? Massive product!!! Thanks for sharing Claudio! God bless you guys.
- Cool. Reminds me of that guy with the contraption that makes music through harddrives and scanners motors. But in a much more compact and userfriendly format :D
Yes! More Motor Synth! What a cool sounding little contraption. Kinda like tone wheels in a Hammond organ, but instead of exciting a magnetic coil this works with optical sensors when I look at the black and clear parts on the wheels, in different partitions to create the octaves. Huge difference though is while a Hammond uses a constant speed motor with a wheel for every note this thing uses brushless motors, which controllers can spin them at different speeds to create the notes. Did you ever try to send the output of your Hammond trough a synth to proces your sound? Would be nice for a video.
@@valuemastery You could be right, I looked up some pictures of this thing and the discs are aluminium with black markings on top and not of clear plastic, there is no sensor on top of the wheels either, but the Gamechanger website describes how it works. The magnetic impulses from the motor coils are used to create the wave form.
- Cool jam. I really like seeing you just jam. Like that time just after new year's when you did a jam session, and interacted a bit with the chat. Product reviews are fine too, when I have some extra cash floating around. But I have fond memories of those jam sessions. I remember you played a cool interpretation of "Imagine" or some Paul Simon song back then. It's like playing a performance at some party, except you don't have to haul all your synths when you do it from the studio 😀Just an idea for around the holidays or some special occasion 😀
As you play higher pitch notes, the motors spin faster. If you play 8 really high pitch notes... It takes off and flies around the room like a drone! 😎
This is awesome, it looks so slick, classy and stylish!! Please create more jams with it, I would also like you to create more jams using the Moog Muse!!!
This module has a specific timbre … that makes it really unique. A lot of synths these days can produce nice sounds but they cannot distinguish themselves from other synthesizers … except Moog 😊 …
First thought: "Motor Synth" some body reinvented the Hammond Organ - my favorite sound for elevator muzak ;-) Don't get me wrong - it's been an ingenious inventtion but today more is expected. Second thought: Doctor Mix wouldn't make a video on the reinvention of the Hammond Organ so let's listen. And: It's got the schematic symbol for a motor in its logo. Nerdy enough to give it a chance? And the sound is great. At a fraction of the price of a Hammond organ ;-) Some of the disadvantages of a mechanical organ do remain. The frequencies will inherently less stable than of a modern oscillator. With instability probably in the audible range. That should get somewhat worse as the mechanics ages and repeatability will suffer. Does it matter? That may well be an artistic choice. The choice of drone motors is interesting. These motors are foremost built to deliver high performance, need good airflow for cooling. The precise stability, repeatability or longevity for years and years of Motor Synth's design choices have a big influence the final sound and how it ages. It may even make it more interesting than a pileo of "boring" electronics. So I'm curious to learn more on this product.
Ein gutes Instrument zum fummeln 🤣🤣 8 Motoren spinnen rundherum BrrRrRrrrrRr The price here is 3400 euro i think its a little expensive for that money you can buy the Moog Muse
The Look Mum No Computer guy recently had a video about an organ he got... it also works with spinny things turned by a motor, the waveforms are etched in the rotors, there are electrostatic pickups and high voltage involved. If this thing actually uses the visible rotors for anything else than show, it is not a completely unique idea. Optigan and Orchestron for example use optically read discs to produce various instrument sounds.
A re-create von Tangerine Dream "Logos" - espacially the sound from the Minimoog lead, but without using a Minimoog. The lead sound would be enough - that would my wish :D

What i appreciate the most in your synth tests is, by your way of playing , you give us emotion , even with this weird Motor Synth ...😊
Thanks Claudio
When a synth manufacturer takes the term "drone note" literally.
That's pretty cool.
You’re talent & skills are way more interesting to observe than the objects themselves.
Destined to appear on an episode of 'bad gear' 2029.
I don’t think anyone bought it yet to land to AudioPilz 😂
@@samprock 🙂
This MkII is ticking all of the motorised wheel boxes .............
A brutal quality-price ratio: €2,726.00 XDDD
XD
Amazing part starting at 15:00
This thing sounds amazing... so full and crazy textures...
I feel like this synth has a lively quality to its sound lent by the physical nature of those oscillators.
MOTOR SYNTH!Absolutely awesome!!!! Great jams, Jarre!
What a treat to listen, to discover new machines as well as old ones with as much creativity and passion as you share with us, big bravo
That preset and music starting from 5:45... So good!
After 14:00 too, amazing
Claudio can extend it, add more instruments and release this wonderful track. Sounds absolutely fantastic!
absolutely positively more UNBOX IT!!! I really dig the motor synth never seen a device quite like it definitely want to see more videos with it.

Oh, man! What a sound. It's got the grit of an ARP with the phatness of a Moog.
I can see this being really useful for synthy orchestral and drones. So much texture and possibilities with this!
I love the sound from the motorsynth - More video with that, please!
One of the best presentations of this synth. 👍
- Luis was having fun also with that motor synth. Like 2 kids in a candy store 🤣
Me too, in turn I'm only see, and i hear.
Out of the blue there came 3 Synth's in one week that are already Legends. Also the Dr. Mix demo's where legendary 💯🙏🏼✌🏼
Motor Synth!!! That thing is out of this world!!! Alien Tech??? Imagine if that company did a keyboard built with that platform??? Massive product!!! Thanks for sharing Claudio! God bless you guys.
Tangerine Dream in a box? Where the dream is me forking out that kind of cash for it.😜
- Cool. Reminds me of that guy with the contraption that makes music through harddrives and scanners motors. But in a much more compact and userfriendly format :D
- I forgot the name of that machine, had to look it up. The "Floppotron". This motorsynth is like a floppotron on steroids 😀

I think the black stripes on top of the wheels are just for optical effect. There's that red stroboscope light.

Nice video and synth! It sounds great!
15:53 MOTOR SYNTH sounds like Dracula and Robert MOOG got into a Streetfight. Beautifully Grunged!
This thing seriously sounds different than almost anything i have heard in a synth

Oh wow..I felt that. 🙏❤️ Ok, I’m listening
Great, incredible sound!
As you play higher pitch notes, the motors spin faster.

🤣🤣🤣

Motor synth sounds awesome
15:16 Awesome sequence
I'd love to get my hands on a proper hardware synthesiser. The Doc has more than I've ever seen anyone have!
Amazing!!! Make more jams using all of your synth!
Motor Synth MKII is worth exploring into some song production. Some amazing bell like tonality on some of the patches.
This company makes great products. I'ma big fan of the Plus+ pedal
Motor syyynnnttthhh!!!! 🤘
Crazy synth! 😍
Wow Stunning Unique machine...
Plug this in and go on an Audio Trip!
Best wishes from NZ
Great sound!
Thank you!!!
This sounds pretty damn sweet. Nice one
Nicw Session at the end! 😊👍🏻
Your track is awesome! It does sound great
Wow! I want one! Or two!
Actually you almost can buy a Moog Muse for the Motor Synth's price. No doubt which worth more
This module has a specific timbre … that makes it really unique. A lot of synths these days can produce nice sounds but they cannot distinguish themselves from other synthesizers … except Moog 😊 …
Dr. Mix you should try the SOMA TERRA.
Drone motors FTW!!
Os videos do doctor mix são os melhores!!!!
I vote Dr Mix AND Louis do a live jam track on it together.
MOTOR SYNTH in the style of Jean- Michel Jarre, I definitely heard something that sounded alike from his Équinoxe Album maybe? 🎉❤
MOTOR SYNTH!

It looks like some JM.Jarre instruments...let’s replay Équinoxe ;)
CRAZY box!

I remember when MK II was a Roland MC 50 micro composer
You are the best, the synth master, greetigns from mexico
That synth screams SCIENCE FICTION!!!

Felt like i jus listened to the movie tron...daft punkish for sure!
Very interesting. I'm still trying to understand the concept with this machine and how it can be used in real time productions.
Was yamaha mixing console gone? 😮😮 How is your productivity without it?
Motorsynth!! 🤩🤩🤩
6:00 OMG
Very interesting engineering 🤯😱🎹
A re-create von Tangerine Dream "Logos" - espacially the sound from the Minimoog lead, but without using a Minimoog. The lead sound would be enough - that would my wish :D
I need this 😍
Guys...this is crazy and wild...I feel like I'm in 2524... 😂 I love this crazy Motor Synth MKIl
UNBOX IT!!
This is crazy cool - nice sounds - I've gotta learn more about under the hood. Does it have a HEMI? 😂
I'm waiting for the keyboard version with built-in laserharp 🥳
Qué cacharraco más chulo, man!
Great techno music.
MOTOR SYNTH !!!
Hi ,,,are you going to Synthfest ,,,in Sheffield Uk ,,,Oct 5th ,,,,thanks
question .... but do these engines have physical wear?? if yes by how much ???
Next time try the "Panoptigon" Optical Disc Sampler! 😁
UPBOX IT!!
Is that buzz from the synth or a bad cable in the studio?
6:41 life is like a hurricane, here in, Mixburg.
Past three videos all new gear that could buy you a car in their combined prices :)
A synth can take u places internally. And externally.
If your synth amp has enough wattage you can just use it to punt you to where you need to go. The landings are tricky, though.
Love this synth, but it does seem limited? Thanks for your take on it.
avrai anche spannato quel potenziometro del filtro!
Wow.😮❤
look like a clock work
UNBOX IT!
Motor Synth!
Hello, are you going to make a video on the Roland XV 88? It looks interesting to me with fantastic presets.
Holy ape, that thing sounds amazing and I'm not even into synths.
Crazy sound
Wooooooooooooow maaaaaaaaaan!!!!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
MOTOR SYNTH
I love it, but..Moving parts=breaking parts. This will change the game on a whole different level. Let’s wait one year+.
Completely bonkers in the best way. It's lke someone built a VCS3 out of power drills.
UNBOX ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Claudio's keepin' in his pants and he's gonna show us what's in the box!👀🤣🎁
16:56 something like jean michel jarre
Its the other way around, JMJ sounds more like the synths. It was not JMJ making the sound. It was the synths and luckily he had access to them all.
Guessing it has red LEDs on each motor, and a photodiode receiving the sound from the colored discs on the motors? Then converted to sound
Sounds live music of Michael Garrison from the 90th...
