Triggercon must really have been something, I really enjoy tinkering with Glocks, get police trade ins for cheap and have a field day. But the custom work you have shown on your videos is amazing, real entertaining!
its still cut with a tool carbide or not all cutting tools wear then all the grooves wont be exactly the same how do they account for the wear on the carbide cutter ?????
Never heard of this company before but looks like great stuff. Definitely looking forward to the Glock 19/17 stuff and SIG P320 stuff. Killed looking barrel, mag well, baseplate, and trigger.
I'm not trying to be like these haters down below but they do bring a good point about these Glock barrels. Most people will never get to the point where they notice the increments of improvements, let alone someone who uses it for self defense spraying bullets everywhere. Only real reasons you should be getting another barrel is if you want threads or if the rifling has worn out after tens of thousands of rounds.
accuracy in a pistol isn't INSIDE the barrel, its how the barrel locks and returns to lock up point at full battery, which is why glocks in general just suck for accuracy also the sloppy chamber size, can almost stuff a 40 in the throat...... of course I've had a half dozen and just bought a g19c because they do work as intended.
GunsCarsBikeCigars yes and no. A barrel with perfect lockup and an erratic center bore will still be inaccurate. But with a drop in barrel they can control the inside more so than the lockup to your particular firearm. I'm kinda curious to see how these go. I hope they release em for the g40 lol.
who said anything about a defective barrel? all things equal it only matters how consistently it aligns to the same exact spot. People only buy block parts based on bling so i think they will sell well
I didn't say anything about a defective barrel. Inconsistencies inside the barrel is what they can control. I don't care how it looks i just need it to perform better than what it's replacing haha
While all those things may come into play, what the major factor in the glock's accuracy is how long the barrel stays in alignment as the slide recoils backward. In super slow motion videos you can see that the slide is moving disrupting alignment before the round exits the barrel. I've seen it and there are remedies for it. Peace
I have experienced the exact opposite of this. the bullet has exited before the chamber or slide start to move. however, I don't know the actual timing figures for how close this is, perhaps its with a super light weight bullet such as a 50-70gr 1600fps+ setup so it has everything going as fast as possible but still, I never saw any slow mo for looking to be even close.
Improving accuracy on a pistol is nearly pointless. Perhaps 1,000 people world wide can approach accuracy limits on modern pistols. I'd be more interested in increasing resistance to wear, (I'm a volume shooter but even this doesn't matter much, just buy a new gun). Threading for compensators, adjustable triggers, flared mag wells these are all excellent items for shootists. Now as for carry guns none of theses things matter. Reliability, (Glocks aren't perfect I have broke many) and pointability are #1 and #2.
John-Paul is not wrong. Most problems with firearm accuracy is driver related. Most drivers are not capable of out performing the factory setup in modern firearms. That is just a fact. Austinhock, I doubt you are capable of performing a factory Glock. That does not mean people can't spend their money how they want, but it is superfluous.
I have owned a few including a 17L, 17C, 20 and I used my brother-in-law's 21 and 41. So large sized and very large sized Glocks and I aren't exactly strangers. But I think you are missing my point about accuracy. Off hand shooting is inherently less accurate then a rail gun set-up which is how these barrels is tested. There is absolutely nothing wrong with have an amazing and super accurate barrel but it just isn't going to improve almost anyone's targets even at 100yrds. The stock barrel of a typical Glock is just fine for almost all users. Maybe you are Annie Oakley but 99.99999999% of all users will have no additional advantage. If you have ever had to shoot a handgun in a stressful situation you might understand my comments about natural pointability. I have been in such a situation and they guy shooting at me was shaking and missed me more then 5-6 times at bad breath distance before we wrestled until he was captured and disarmed.
Also by my statement of breaking many Glocks, I did perhaps exaggerate. I have broken several extractors and wore out a feed ramp/barrel on my 17L. Very good guns but I do prefer CZ style pistols or even revolvers.
Single point cutting is not new. Many WW2 machine guns such as the Sterling and Suomi used that process, as well as resistance built weapons. It takes longer to cut, and many of those guns left the factory with just 2 grooves in the barrel, whereas button rifling makes all at the same time. it has the manufacturing reality that the points and lands are not uniform throughout the barrel.
How about making a barrel for a Glock 42- that would be unique. Since they are making them from scratch, quite unlike the Dasan barrels LWD is marketing, they might actually be able to deliver a product. LWD has been promising an extended and threaded barrel for YEARS and is only vaporware.
Prove it. An independent side by side review with 2 brand new Glocks one with your product. Only one shooter and you can't know who's doing it until it's done.
Who cares about a super accurate polymer pistol? Glocks (and M&Ps and the sort) are combat pistols, carry pistols, competition pistols, defensive pistols. Stock barrels are plenty accurate for even the best shooters unless you're shooting bullseyes from a benchrest with optics. Just call it what it is, gun jewelry.
kraemer66 do you participate in competition shooting? No? Oh OK then don't comment about the accuracy requirements like you know what your talking about when you don't
And if you were a real competition shooter, you would know that this ultra fractional amount of accuracy improvement doesn't mean jack-dodo-squat in any combat pistol course and will NOT overcome any poor pistol skills...it's not going to take you from 1 Ring to the next Now as for benchrest rifles, this sounds like it may have a place...testing will tell
"Who cares about a super accurate polymer pistol? " Actually lot of super tech gunners do. They cant hit a soda can from 10 yards, but they want a gun that suped up to do precision work of target pistols, so they can show to their bodies at the range that they have the most of the most gadgets.... They get an orgasm when they explain how their barrel made with such a precision that the terminator would shoot a quarter at a hundred yard range with it.....unfortunately they are not terminator, but they practice twice a year on the range with the newest most expansive gadgets...lol
I agree... when I competed, I used "off the shelf" equipment and adapted that equipment with practice and other small adjustments... (If the projectile and gas travel down the barrel at the same rate, the gun will be accurate, if not adaptable, I would sell that piece and try another; The salesmen never mentioned "gas / projectile" testing in his presentation)... but it is nice looking as kaemer66 stated...
You offer no link but yet advertise Glock accessories… I went to both killer innovations.com and your other website which is just AK-47 AK 74 crap… Where is your Glock stuff… I was interested
austinhock4 Yes those shooters just don't exist... sarcasm, sarcasm.... the answer is still no. The slop in the action will more than overcome the accuracy of a precision rifled barrel. It's a handgun duh, not a bolt action rifle on a bench! It's just bling for show. A piece for bragging rights.
Love it: James 2:26 "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." I hope you live that dude!
Triggercon must really have been something, I really enjoy tinkering with Glocks, get police trade ins for cheap and have a field day. But the custom work you have shown on your videos is amazing, real entertaining!
That rifle was super nice when I saw it in person!
+J.Cruz671 agreed
Having shot that specific rifle, I can attest to how absurdly accurate it is.
What a company,Im impressed. I dont do glocks, but will defenatly check em out for my m&p and sigp320.
i am a metal cut mechanic and i would say single cut is kinda BS because the tool has also wear from groove to groove
yack yack yack. Tell us its MOA @ 100 Yards using several different common market ammo.
its still cut with a tool carbide or not all cutting tools wear then all the grooves wont be exactly the same how do they account for the wear on the carbide cutter ?????
I was Thinking the same thing when he was discussing the Process and I was like WHAT ?
What i want to know does the different types of bullets like solid copper make those groves go down and does this help with that
Never heard of this company before but looks like great stuff. Definitely looking forward to the Glock 19/17 stuff and SIG P320 stuff. Killed looking barrel, mag well, baseplate, and trigger.
FNX45-Tactical barrel please!!!
Got a gray barrel today! It's awesome

1/8th MOA group huh? I wander at what range...
1 MOA is 1 inch at 100 yards. 1/8th MOA is 1/8th inch at 100 yards.

John-Paul Silke if pointability are #1 and #2 you need training and somehow I doubt you've ever owned a glock
John-Paul Silke and just because you can't shoot well doesn't mean only 1000 people in the world can
John-Paul is not wrong. Most problems with firearm accuracy is driver related. Most drivers are not capable of out performing the factory setup in modern firearms. That is just a fact. As long as they don't overcharge if the manufacturing process is the same.
G34???!

Awesome
Yo! Superb reviewer!
I want all of those Glock parts.
They're using 5 axis machines.
Prove it. An independent side by side review with 2 brand new Glocks one with your product. Only one shooter and you can't know who's doing it until it's done.

Yes, I do shoot competitions. Next local 3-gun match is this Saturday just outside Orlando. I'm guessing you won't be joining us?
And if you were a real competition shooter, you would know that this ultra fractional amount of accuracy improvement doesn't mean jack-dodo-squat in any combat pistol course and will NOT overcome any poor pistol skills...it's not going to take you from 1 Ring to the next

5 axis CNC. Big Secret!
JEZZZZ IN MY PANTS.
G40 !
I doubt anybody is that accurate of a shooter to make the rifling cut of a barrel matter.
... in a handgun I might add.
Evan Tinney some people care like target shooters but normal folk aren't spend lots of $ for little more accuracy.
Evan Tinley so people like Taran butler, Jerry mickuluck, and Larry vickers don't exist?
austinhock4

@@pappaflammyboi5799 I got one to throw a comp/can on.
Hiram Cajigas-Cruz
MSG me.
Highly accurate barrel.........that you fire cheap ammo through. This smells a bit the the emperors new clothes to me.
with a 5 axis machine and good programmer and machinist, the machine will do everything for you... Not anything special really.
meh
