Well, I was so thrilled to find this crafty T TV and you have the midnight quilt show. Well I’m a night owl so that worked out really well for me. I love that quilt and would be honored to have it in my home. Thank you so very much for your time Elizabeth Taylor.
I have never watched quilting on RUclips. OMG, I am a Midnight junkie!!!! I totally get your sense of humor. There is no other fun than getting my $?)t done so I can go to my studio (okay, spare bedroom) and quilt. I have finished 5 quilts since I found you!!!! You rock!!!
I’m just starting to learn to quilt. My 4yo son and I love watching your videos. He (David) wanted me to leave a comment to say ‘you’re doing a great job!’ I second that! Thanks for all the guidance.
This is really an amazing pattern! Who would have thought that diamonds could be made this way? And as always, I love to see the free motion designs you selected for the quilt! Thank you for sharing!
I love the free motion quilting tutorials using your rulers. I like it when not only you put together the quilt but actually show me the free motion quilting part too.
Love this quilt... I use painters tape as well to piece together 60 and 45 degree angle pieces. Cut a quarter inch piece of painters tape (about 10 inches) and place it on your sewing machine bed. Put two pieces of fabric right sides together, and place along the long edge on the line of the tape. Your two bits that stick out can be lined up to the exact quarter inch by lining them up on the other side of the tape. Slide your pieces under your needle and you will have a perfect seam every time.
Angela, You are a genius!! I haven't done much free motion quilting. I use my walking foot mostly but this painters tape trick can surely make a lot of different ideas for quilting designs. Thank you for all you create and the information you provide. You are absolutely delicious!!
I use painter's tape for lots of things but never thought of it for quilting. LOVE the idea of using it to mark pieces/pin it on...it comes off so readily without any residue. Thanks, Angela, and keep up the good work!
Hey, Angela thanks for the beautiful quilt. And thanks for showing us what you used on the backside of the quilt. I love that you actually listen to our request. You Rock.
I'm a sucker for star patterns. :) Because there were so many seams in a block, I would have appreciated seeing how the seams were pressed as the block came together.
Yay new video! I kept looking to see if there was a new video then realized it had only been 2 days since the last video. Lol. You got me obsessed with quilting! No literally, I randomly found my way to your videos about a month ago and an insane amount of money and fabric later, I'm a junkie. Lol
Enjoying immensely the expert videos of MIDNIGHT QUILTER! Great themes, quilt patterns, examples, and the totally not boring quilts! Wow! I finally noticed the maker of the machine you are using in both piecing and quilting: a HANDI-QUILTER. It must be a sit-down model. This is the 1st time I've seen this type of machine! The only other machine that has a stitch regulator on it is the Bernina. So, this is a new one for me. If this is so, I'm so glad. There is a quilt show coming up in March at Tyler, Texas. I'm hoping they will have this specific model on display/demos at that time. I will be very happy to see an alternative to the high-priced Berninas. Keep up offering your quilt videos! They are all great!
I'm so glad I watched this again because I have your quilting rulers in the long skinny one is the probably the 1 that I like the best and I'm getting better at straight Lawrence. I was wondering how to keep the lawn straight when I move along and the painter's tape is brilliant for that thank you.
I seriously use painter's tape for everything in my life. Recently moved into a new house - every single door and drawer has a painter's tape label on it until we get familiar with everything. I use it for quilting, I use it for homeschool, I use it to label my kids when I forget their names... everything! :-P
Love this approach and variation to making a lone star quilt. The quilted, ghost pieces are purely ingenious. Even in the new format your bubbly personality and enthusiasm reigns supreme. The Bluprint conciseness bites away from the former informative nature of the Midnight Quilter. I am still enjoying your creativeness, as always.
That’s a beautiful quilt and the ghost blocks are genius! Glad you’re using Slim, my favorite ruler. I love to put painter’s tape on my cutting rulers to remind myself exactly which marking I’m using to make repetitious cuts. I place the tape about 1/8” past the mark I’m supposed to use.
Wow !!! What an Amazing quilt and tutorial! You make this look so easy but that’s what I love about you! !! I hope to try this and get it right as I think my son would love this he used to tie-dye T-shirts and he was really good at it and this quotereminds me of one of his T-shirts so if I can get this done for him it would be a great surprise and he would absolutely love love love this! So thank you for another great quilt and tutorial!!
Love your show and watching you add quilting to the fabric. I would really like to see a wide angle shot that shows how and where you spread out a large quilt in order to do such detailed quilting
Every time you post a new quilt, I ALWAYS wish I had UFOs! I'm fanatical about starting a project and finishing it before I start another one. If I could just finish the quilt tops and leave them sitting around!! Ugh! This quilt looks amazing! (Too bad I'm in the middle of another one. *cries*)
I’m obsessed with your quilt patterns and I noticed you do a lot of solids which make the patterns that much more fabulous! Do you have any recommendations for a pattern I can use with very busy fabrics? (i.e. Lilly Pulitzer)
i'm curious....i recently started trying my hand at some machine quilting. I don't have a walking foot. Just using my standard foot. is there a trick to keeping the back of your fabric flat so as not to get puckers, wrinkles, or any shifting of fabric so you don't accidentally sew where you aren't supposed to? I put my sandwich on a quilt rack first and safety pinned it together but still had issues that caused me to have to take stitches out. You make it look so easy Angela.
Hi Angela I am going to order your stardust solids quilt kit, I have a question about a color of fabric on your quilt top, the darkest green/blue color is this Azure? I would like to use this darker colour as the quilt backing, thanks in advance 😊
I like to use painters tape to hold the layers in place while I pin baste on the floor! I've tried using it to mark straight lines for machine quilting over the length of the quilt but it just didn't stick that well.
When you buy your fabric do you prewash so your project doesn't shrink? I always prewash because I worry about shrinkage but don't know if prewashing is necessary.
Sarah Contento My understanding is: it depends on the quality of fabric you are using. High end $$/yd quilting cotton should not shrink (and in a previous video she mentions she is too impatient to wash fabric, but she is usually use high end fabric. In Jordan fabrics videos you watch her cut the fabric off the bolt and go straight to cutting). You shouldn’t wash the pre-cut 5”^2, 10”^2, or 2.5” strips; the fraying can throw everything off. Cheaper fabrics like some from JoAnns, Wal Mart dollar a yd fabric, or thrift store found fabrics are more likely to have more fillers and shrink and should be washed before use. Also when using ‘found fabrics’ throwing them in the wash can weed out the weak fabrics that will not withstand the test of time.

Thanks for watching!! We have so much fun making MQS, glad that you are enjoying the episodes. :)

Aww! Tell David thank you, and give him a high-five from us!
The 4 pieces in the center of the quilt would make a cute wall hanging too!

I enjoy your cheerful color palettes.
I love that Angela's nails match the material!
Think of how many quilt addicts you have created or re inspired. Thanks for all you do for all of us.
Hey, Angela thanks for the beautiful quilt. And thanks for showing us what you used on the backside of the quilt. I love that you actually listen to our request. You Rock.
it has been snowing all day so this quilt brought a smile to my face - it reminds me of sun and spring.
I'm a sucker for star patterns. :) Because there were so many seams in a block, I would have appreciated seeing how the seams were pressed as the block came together.
Omg Chloe looked so adorable at the machine! I don't quilt but I do crochet so I'm going to crochet this pattern as a blanket.
Yay new video! I kept looking to see if there was a new video then realized it had only been 2 days since the last video. Lol. You got me obsessed with quilting! No literally, I randomly found my way to your videos about a month ago and an insane amount of money and fabric later, I'm a junkie. Lol
Can confirm this happens - I did the same thing!
Same here too, lol!
Same
Me too...”quilting is my therapy” and “threads are my meds”! Lol! 😁
Quilting is incredibly addictive!! So you're welcome, and also we're sorry, lol - thank you for watching!

Wow, beautiful.
Love this quilt!!!
Hello so enjoy your videos
Beautiful quilt❤️
Before I got a 1/4 inch foot for my machine, I used painters tape to mark different seam allowances so that I can so straight.
OMG, I love this.
Love it!!!
You have always a good idea thank you
Amazing quilt!!
Super Mam
i love this quilt
Best of your videos!
Beautiful
Love it thank you
Awwwww it’s so cute
I use painter's tape on my quilting ruler to make squaring up HSTs quick and easy.
Fantastic 😎👍🇦🇺
Sew fun!❤️
Fess up! How many of the quilts do you finish on your long arm? I just don’t see how you can get so many done🤔
beautiful 😍😍
Great video. Lol you said duct tape when you were talking about a landing pad for your wine.
I love this! What do you do with all of the quilts you make. I just discovered your videos and my love for quilts. I cant wait to make my first one.
Great job!! Angela your vids are always so exciting to watch. Thanks for showing us ways to quilt.
Enjoy the tutorials so much. Please can anyone tell me where to purchase the gloves Angelia is using? I have checked blueprint and no joy.
I’m obsessed with your quilt patterns and I noticed you do a lot of solids which make the patterns that much more fabulous! Do you have any recommendations for a pattern I can use with very busy fabrics? (i.e. Lilly Pulitzer)
I almost always use painter’s and/or Scotch tape while piecing my quilts. 🖤
i'm curious....i recently started trying my hand at some machine quilting. I don't have a walking foot. Wow! Beatty quilt and you always make things look so easy! Fairly new alter so I admire you so much. And you did all that quilting in one night??
When I piece my backing using Jinny Beyer's diagonal method, I use painters tape to mark the diagonal line, then cut along the tape.
I adore you but you drive me insane with the offset quilts. It took me so long to adjust your All Roads quilt so it was OCD centered! Hahaha!
@@BernieKomondor and beautiful edges they are!
Hi Angela! Taking a long shot here to see if you can direct me to where I can purchase this pattern? 🙂
Love it
Amazing

What kind of machine do you have? The one on your videos. Love everything about your videos.
Huyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! que bello me mareaste no puedo ;)
Do you switch bobbins when you switch top thread color? And I just wanted to make sure the pattern is included with the kit.
Love watching. Question why do you always use solids and not prints. I am always drawn to print fabrics.
I wonder if it is because you can see the quilting better on solids than you can on prints
bright solids are also very "in" right now.
