Camping Out & Detecting Victorian Gold

- We sneaked over the Victorian boarder and traveled into the wild Goldfields. We came prepared with the Minelab SDC2300 running the new 14x9 Coiltek coil and the Minelab Gold Monster 1000. Setting up camp right in the goldfields and metal detecting and prospecting for 3 days was a total dream and we are happy to say we brought home some Victorian gold nuggets.

We went down with the expectation of finding nothing but junk and we were so surprised with our finds. Persistence pays off. For a few hours, we thought the detectors were not working right as the ground was very quite and highly worked. The power of the new Coiltek coil might have saved the day. Well done dudes and awesome find! That's crazy all those mine shafts there like that and gives us an idea of what the workings were like back in the day. Cool camp set up too and I can't wait to get out in the bush up here once Jeane and Dave come to Australia. Hey dude, we were pretty stoked but shocked more then anything. Looking forward to heading back down when we can. Was so peaceful and didnt see any other person for like 3 days which was good. I bet it would be something else for Jeane and David to camp out in the bush. The boys are in Melbourne with Mum and Dad, they went and watched the footy last night, Roosters v someone, LOL. We might have to eat all their eggs before they get home. Have a great weekend, Happy Easter and chat soon.
@@GrotyGold Yeah the boys sounded like they had a good time, I was talking to mum last night....the roosters played storm and latrell mitchell kicked a field goal in extra time to win it for the roosters. Hey in that first shaft that Steve dropped the rock in, I worked out that it is about 30.6m deep :) ..... s=0.5 x g x t(2)....... so s= 0.5 x 9.80665 x (2.5 x 2.5) ....... s(distance)= 30.6m ....that's working it out at 2.5sec freefall time going of the video time. the speed is v = vo + g x t ....... so v = 0 + 9.80665 x 2.5 ....... v (speed) = 24.51m/s at final freefall speed just before hitting the ground :) which is 88.25 km/h just simply times the 24.51 by 3.6 to convert to km/h.

Great going you guys , i felt your excitement when you found that first one , cause i was excited for ya , yeeeeehaaa , and it wasn't just a little one either ,and then you got one even bigger ,well done ,obviously made the long trip worthwhile , but where's the boys , they didn't get to join the fun , anyway thanks for sharing your finds with us , and looked like a very interesting place, with the mines and all ,cheers .
Thankyou Ned, we were so stocked with the nuggies, didnt expect them at all. It was a pretty clean area for junk or anything, the experience and exploration of the area was awesome. The boys went to my (Alicia's) parents and went to the footy in Melbourne to watch the chickens and the storm play. @@jamiesuvo7420 Its been a long hard road but it has got to a point where i can do a bit and not be layed out for a week. I still have to be so carefull as it can go bad without any warning. Hope you can get out to look for some shiny soon and yes in the bush with no one for miles is the go.

IN Reply once I was coming in fro a mine I had out in the western desert and came up on a herd of antelope. Normally these animals are very shy. Well there was a female standing half on off the road I slowed down and down and finally stopped just before her nose touched the windshield. She just looked at us for a while and turned off. Those are treasures you cannot buy. Here's hoping something like that for you

Its a beauty of a machine and the new coil is a rippa. We utilised our time and had her swinging for hours, the area was pretty clean. We are in NSW, the Riverina, a bit far from SA but we share the same weather. Cheers for watching, happy hunting Alicia & Steve
When you get junk old junk is always good.miners buttons.brass boot tacks.caps from detonation of dynamite. they small round cylinders size of twenty two shell but with distinctive pin sticking out of top with bottom exploded.pre Dec coins.old rusted mouth organs and especially deep musckat balls.you get this type o junk it ain't been detected properly
