As far as I know, the reason why Sun Wukong's name is Sun（孙） is because in Chinese, 狲 means monkey, and as you can see, 狲 is very similar to 孙, and 孙 is a very common surname in China, so ，Wukong's first master, Master Bodhi, gave him his first surname, Sun（孙）.
After 孙悟空 (Sun Wukong) came back to 花果山 (Huaguo Mountain) from his first teacher - 菩提祖师 (Patriarch Bodhi) who was disguised as a Taoist priest, one day he was selecting a weapon for himself. However, all the weapons his monkey army gave him were too light for him. So one of his generals told him to visit the Dragon King of the East Sea (东海龙王) to find some better weapons. He did so, but all the weapons the Dragon King provided were also too light. The Dragon King then mentioned that there was something under the sea called the 定海神针 (Ruyi Jingu Bang) that he could try. The 定海神针 weighed 36,000 Jin (斤, a traditional Chinese unit of weight). 孙悟空 found out that it could shrink itself when he told it to do so. The 定海神针 was finally shrunk to the size of a staff, and it was even able to shrink down to needle size, so that 孙悟空 could put it inside his ear.

I would like to hear more stories and enjoy the language lesson info too, however, it would be more interesting to instead of watching you tell the story to see more art and movie clips or stills that illustrate the story.

He came down to earth because we sinned and sin leads to hell but he died for our sins so we would be forgiven by repenting from sin and beliaving that he died for your sins and rose from the dead. Historically speaking we know Jesus existed and he's bones aren't been found since that day. But Budha is dead and he's ashess has been found . Heaven is real and Jesus is the way to heaven in reality.

I had heard that sun comes from the Chinese word husun which means monkey.

Though the character is slightly different, it makes sense that he got his name from this version of the word for monkey 👍👍
