- Reading codes, plotting sensor output, plus what this OBDII scanner can't do.
You may see the same scanner sold by different names. ToolPRO from supercheap autos, autophix online, ancel, etc. - Кино
Thanks. This helped me to connect my Toolpro scanner to the car and scan for the problem.
Cylinder 2 misfire.😮😅❤
Works well on a 07 epica no issues.
Hi I was wondering if you know how to change the OBD2 system, I kinda just picked one at random when it first asked to select one and I'm not sure how to change or get back to that screen now 😅
I would try unplugging and start over. It should auto detect. I haven’t had manual selection work when auto doesn’t. But worth a try
Hey dude. For future reference at the start of the videos you upload. You could run through quickly exactly what you’re going to talk about or show. Then go into details. Love ya. Cheeers for uploading.
Mines awesome
Which button turns it on ? And gotta charge first ?
Plug it in to the OBD port - that supplies the power which turns it on.
My car can’t connect to the system
Does it monitor automatic transmission fluid temp?
Did not give trans temp on my wifes Mazda when I changed the trans oil. Maybe some cars it does but I wouldn’t bank on it. I used an infrared thermometer and took a reading off the pan
Hi. Will this pick up faulty coil packs and vacuum leaks?
If your car throws a trouble code and stores it on the OBD module then yes. But that’s car specific. Most cars I’ve had don’t know when they have a vacuum leak. You might get a lean mixture or fuel trim code. You then need to diagnose the cause, be it vacuum leak, bad O2 sensor, etc
I have one of these and it correctly picked up a faulty coil pack and a faulty knock sensor on a Mazda 2. Don’t know about a vacuum leak but something would probably show up that would lead you to that issue.
for CAT O25 orange how fix thats do have tuitirial
Is that a DTC? I don't know that one.
Can you use this scanner to program new injector codes?.
No. Mostly a reader. Can clear codes, but I haven’t seen any option entering codes or changing vehicle settings
@@thomaswilding8818 thanks for this. Yeah I couldn't find anything to allow programming on this scanner
I have the same obd scanner, and tried on 04 Toyota corolla. And always says Failed. Any tips
If it's a pre obd2 car, then this reader won't work. Sometimes cheaper to pay someone to scan it.
Will this scanner work on a 2005 1.8L nissan sylphy?
Don't know. Sylphy would be a Jap import, right? Japan was not fully OBD compliant till 2008 I think. So anything before then is a maybe.
Thank you. That makes sense of why my scanner is doing what its doing when hooked up. Now I can movè forward onto the next task.
Look for a 16 pin OBD port (usually at the bottom of the dash near the pedal. Typically a purple plug) if it has one it will work
Hi Thomas, thanks for your video, I have the exact same machine. How I get it to record and open a file in the software they provide. Driving me crazy, keeps saying no data.
I'm confident whoever wrote the user manual had no idea, because the instructions are no help. I suspect recording does not save data in a way that it can be downloaded. Instead, it is saving readings in flash memory so you can review data before disconnecting. Go to the "review" option to see what is saved (before unplugging)
@@thomaswilding8818 thanks will try that.
@@thomaswilding8818 No. It is supposed to allow capture of data for uploading to PC via provided USB cable for reading or printing. See Instruction 3.7 Review and Print Diagnostic Reports. However, it is incompatible with Windows 11. Not yet been able to speak to anybody from Autophix for support but SCA have offered to refund the purchase price. Instruction manual Section 5 UPDATE says compatible with Windows 7/8/10 (8 & 10 are plug and play, 7 requires driver. Who is still using Win7 or Win8?). I've emailed Autophix so we'll see how good their support is. Might be a return on this one for me.
Doesn't seem to work on my 98 Subaru outback
Bc it's an obd1, cars after obd2 are after 1999
hey mate, can this reset airbag light?
Probably not. It should connect to engine control module, but wouldn’t expect it to connect to the abs module.
@@thomaswilding8818 ah i knew i shouldve gotten the more expensive version, thanks though ill have to purchase a new one cheers
@@m11ny some cars, disconnecting the battery for a while can reset codes.
Hi, will it show odometer reading?
Thats car specific. Some cars it only shows what is available on the obd module which wouldn't normally be odo.
please chech air bag dushboard delete use
This will only access and delete error codes stored on the OBD module. Not those stored in other modules, like airbag warning lights.
@@thomaswilding8818 because tuitor upload obm not the air bag
This device is a waste of money, its N/A with any readings on my vehicle. Yes my vehicle a GWM X200 is what I like to call the WISH version of a FORD RANGER or HOLDEN COLORADO. But yes the scanner couldnt read anything N/A anyone else have this problem
just bought from SC only to find out it doesnt work on a VY 2003, sucks the Sales man lied.
Most forums will tell you everything post 1996, or 2001, but most forums are USA or europe. NZ and AU... and most of planet earth, it was 2006 before OBDII was required. I'd be asking for a refund.
I do think the SS commodore went OBDII earlier - Holdens with the LS1. Perhaps because they sold them in the US as a GTO.
I assume this scanner won’t work on a Holden vz Ute 05. Having issues with it not starting and want to try and see if any faults are showing that may be causing it to not fire up as it sounds like it’s almost there
@@nitrothunder9937 should work. All LS1 use obd2, right back to vt. And v6 use obd2 on the VZ, so I’m told. Obd2 for connecting to engine module but not body module, abs, etc
Say what?
Speak up !!
Sound very low for this video
