- "Earl Scruggs: A Player's Guide," a live Peghead Nation workshop series with Bill Evans, continues with a live Zoom session on Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m. Eastern with special guest Charlie Cushman from the Earls of Leicester. Series host Bill Evans discusses with Charlie some of the most important aspects of Earl's playing that move beyond tablature, including Earl's fingering choices, right-hand rhythm, tone and note spacing and much more. It's not too late to join this workshop series, as all sessions are recorded in high quality video and audio and available for viewing, even for long after the live sessions end on May 29th. If you can't join us this weekend, video of this interview with Charlie will be posted sometime in the following week. Consider this a graduate level course in all things Earl!
