First great video. Nicely done. Well explained. Second thanks for the shout outs in the description, in the video, and the end screen showing my channel. In 1990 or thereabouts movements were marked at the top syn oil. Meaning that you are supposed to use synthetic oil. A clock friend of mine who does this for a living (Sean Barnes with S&N Clock Repair) is the one that told me to start using motor oil. With most collectors a quart of motor oil should last them a life time. With myself and as clumsy as I get and spill oil every so often the quart will last me the rest of my life but might not have when I started 25 years ago. LOL. Again great video. God bless you and yours.
And you were the one that got me thinking of the oils and I was thinking of all the trouble I have been having with the 8 day clocks. I even have a one day New England clock that has been running for two years and just flat out stopped because of using the clock oil. Thanks so much for stopping in Mark and as you know, YOU are worth giving shout outs for. God Bless.
Very interesting. I know in the old days Whale oil was used to lubricate everything. The synthetic 0-20w oil is as close to that. In the1970's 1 ounce of whale was selling for $30.oo. We used it sparingly on the price printers at work. 1 drop a week.
Oh, wouldn't that be great to have a sponsor. My favorite color is green, so that is why I picked the Brand, but the weight of the oil and the synthetic is the most important. Thanks so much for watching Bat.
I wonder what kind of oil ca be uses for the jewels inside an alarm clock, I do not know much about clocks but moebius seems like a waste of money. Any recommendations?
On normal clocks that have the jewels, you would use clock oil and so I would think this oil would work just as well. If you had a watch, then maybe use the synthetics oil because it is lighter and watches are so small. Thanks for watching and have a great week Pablo C.
well done my friend
Thank you John Ames
Good to know, Mike. Thank you! I'll bet your brother will be very happy when you give him back his clock in great working order.

Oil collects dust I didn’t know that great information here
And that is why you don't use a lot of oil. Just a drop or less will due for the clock. Thanks so much for watching The N.D.T. Show.

I knew we had something in common with our hobbies.
