Nice Cuckoo Clock from Bachmaier&Klemmer. The Factory is located in Berchtesgaden in Bavaria. Great Job my Friend. I wish you a nice Week. God bless you my Friend. Best Reguards from Germany.
There are times I wish I lived close to the shops that build these clocks so I could buy parts as needed. Thanks for the Great comment, you have a great week and God Bless.
13:02 THANK YOU for showing yourself pulling the clock movement out before the musical movement. The first (and only so far) musical cuckoo I worked on I removed the musical movement before the clock movement, and it was a huge pain to re-bend the little wire that connects the music box to the clock - getting the bend at just the right spot so the music plays on the hour but not on the half-hour took a lot of adjustment. The next musical clock I work on, I'll pull the clock movement first, and leave the little bend in the music box wire alone. Thanks again for the very useful video!
I am glad you learned something from your experience while working on the clock. The main adjustment is leaving only a 1/4 to 1/2 inch free play with that wire would be the key. Thanks so much for watching Bradford Needham. God Bless.
Funny thing is, I gave up on the ageing of these clock for the most part. Not knowing when they started using the plastic tops on the whistle boxes or any other hints are just out the window for me, lol. Thanks for watching Bat.
10:07 I new I didn't like glued whistles, but I didn't think it through: the first time the clock must be oiled you'd have to rip off the whistles to get the movement out. I can't see how that would save much money or time in the factory. On the other hand, those round-headed screws holding the whistles don't look like factory screws
I try to figure out what the company was thinking when the went to gluing the whistle boxes in. The only thing I could come up with was what relative owned the glue company..... I can live with the round headed screws. Thanks for watching Bradford Needham.
Yea, I couldn't remember when the war was and didn't want to look it up again. I just need to write it down and remember where I wrote it down at, lol. Thanks so much for watching Time4Clocks. You have a great week and God Bless.
I think a lot of companies didn't put all there eggs in one basket, just in case one of the companies failed. I think you are right on this one Elder Pinto. Thanks for watching and have a great week. God Bless.
